tv The Ingraham Angle FOX News August 24, 2022 12:00am-1:00am PDT
12:00 am
>> all right. unfortunately, that is all the time we have left thishe evening. as always, thank you for joining us . thank you for making this show possible. we hope you'll set your dvr so not that hard. so you never miss an episode of hannity for news any time fox news.com, hannity, .com, fox business, .com. but in the meantime, let h your heart be troubled. laura is next. the ingram angleea hav another show lays right ahead. how are you any websites arene you going to promote at the end of your show? hannity well it was pretty dull. give you 20 seconds early. i figured i'd could give you ten seconds early. yeah, well, by the way, the what is it? fetterman don't cry. i can't even look for. i start screaming . laughing it's so cruel but in a factual way that you have to go with it. it's politics. it's midterm craziness. so we got somebody wrote me and said the perfect nickname for him ought to be uncle fester. i did. >> thank you.
12:01 am
they got it from mangrum angle. thank you very much. did you do coal? not for yes, of course i did. of course, from boy you can't miss. that's what you have to watch for every night atan ten . yeah, it's first of all get it right. it's uncle fester men . okay, we want to keep you know, keep out to the rhythm of the name. all right. statement about me that i got to go hannity. i could talk to you all night. go , go , go . all right. well, i'll see you tomorrow night. great show. i am sorry. " rimandoth from washington tonight. once again, some byhi the administration officialmi is leaking evidence about the trump raidni after business hours. now, this time the leakers gave a big, fat, wet kiss to "the washington post". phrases like a person familiar with the investigation or people familiar or used nine times to describe the month long back and forth between the biden administration and the former president. , these leaks are totally devastating to the government's credibility. now, this is themp same driptra
12:02 am
drip, drip tactics that they used in the russia collusion investigation. this is so familiar it's almost boring. i almost didn't want to start with that tonight. but remember how the media, they keep insisting that everything had to be secret. it's the secrecy is the most important thing. but now we have the administration leaking to the post and of course,ea "new york times" on back to back days. and yeteim democrats and promint republicans, you know who you are, are claiming that it's outrageous for anyone to go on to criticize t the fbi or the dj that we should all trust the leadership of both dojhe and the fbi just because i guess the nostalgia, i don't know. but the time for blind forrence is over the time tough questions and accountability begins now. we're going to have much more on this later in the show. but first, faking it, not making it. > that's the focus ofs tonight's angle.
12:03 am
all right. we have huge reaction to last night's angle on the obvious efforts to psych out republican voters before the midterms. so p pou we urge mitch mcconnelo leave the punditry and the odds making to others and actually to start leading the party toward victory. but of course, the media has glommed on to mcconnell's recent glumness. mitch mcconnell recently said that he felt like the senatehe could actually go either way. sort of surprising to come from him. he said that the quality of candidates will be an important factor. i love that he said that. emmeryry the quality of candidates i mean, we're talking about herschel walker, who's been caught up in a variety of controversies. he mentioned dr. oz and even in arizona, there are people who are looking at arizona and saying, you know what, senator martelli has a good say chance of keeping that seat . >> now he's a smart. now, while the gop establishment signals to everyone of course, that
12:04 am
the populace they can't win. never, never can they win the democrats are so convinced that the populous can win that they nominated uncle fester and tim ryan , their senate candidates in pennsylvania and ohio who are bothot pretending toh be populists in an effort to hold off and advancee who are actuale populists. now here's uncle fester and today acting like he's the man of the people. ifua go to washington, d.c., jut what you're still going to have a senator that's going to be living across the street from yououe still when i'm going to be the kind of senator that's going to be living directly across the street with a union hall south of the union home. now, if fetterman and ryan aretr populists and i'm a localee left winger, those two men are, ofpu course, just misleading the votersrs. if either of them win, they'll be rubber stamps for joe biden and chuck schumer. and those guys aren't looking out for the average american. we know.
12:05 am
so you know that when tim , an says something like this well, he's lying. >> i don't answer to any political party. i answer to the folks i grew up with and the families like all across ohio. i'll work with either party to cut costs, pass a middle class tax cut. does anyone wear a jacket to tie any longer casual athleisure? where aren't we tired of that, by the way, a tax cut that he's talking about. he just voted toa: pass a so-called inflation reduction act, another lie of a titlefl which according to cbo, raises taxes on the middle class niskos and mr. populist o and he'ss. playing the moderate card that's just completeat. he voted with joe bidened and nancy pelosi 100% that time. that's just so far this congress. now the democrats fooled themselves with this type of ploy before. remember john tester? he pulled it in montana. markoh kelly pulled it in arizona. and the famous joe manchin, he pulled it in west virginia. but it always ends up the same.
12:06 am
those guys might lie, but the raw numbers do not. here's how more of the so-called moderate democrats voted as compared to their party leadership. so far , thisot congress. georgia senator raphael warnock voted with schumer 97% of the time and ninety six percent with violence. e nevada senator catherine cortez masto also voted 97% with schumer nearly 93% of the time with biden and arizona senator mark the astronaut. kelly is 96%, with chuck schumer over 94% with biden committed liberals. every single one of them. and now they'll have anothere scam to line up behind tomorrow. joe biden is expected to unilaterally just grant ten thousand in student loannt forgiveness for every borrower borrower with less l income, with an income less than, one hundred twenty five thousand dollars. now, not only is that constitutionally suspect, the penn wharton budget model finds that would add three
12:07 am
30 billion dollars to the deficit. the deficit, it's sond outrageous. i can't even say the line. okay, not n to mention it's the opposite of being populist. it's just a bribe to win back liberal. well, to do voters, blue collar workers out there. sorry, you're out of luck. no help for you. now get this. the richest 40% of americans, they carry 60% of the student loan debt while the bottom 40%, just 20% and minorities. i'm sorry, it doesn't help you either. jcp came out swinging immediately on this saying we've got a problem. this is not how you treat black voters waps. come on , joe biden doesn't care, though, and neither does his fake populist pals who just want votes like senator warner, who already signed on to a letterke supporting such a move. and this happened this past march. expect others to quickly follow. now the democrat party will continue to push for higher gas prices, controlling
12:08 am
what your kids learn in school and restrictions on everything from beef to air conditioning and the fake populace in the democrat party support that . not all the way down the line faking it, but not making it as a true populist. not on the border and certainly not on china. so don't be surprised for one moment if fetterman or ryan at times they try to sound like donald trump. the democrats know that the political appeal of populism, even if some in the gop establishment still haven't figured it out. but the democrats have no g intention of governing on aov populist agenda the moment the election is over a and all the streamers and all the confetti, it's all swept away. bidenn and his team will beto back to lowering our standards of living and guys like fetterman and ryan will be with them every steplili of the way. and that's the angle. all right.. joining me now is chris 10%, founding partner of wright c forge. chris , now givenhr the stakes,
12:09 am
the teeth gnashing over the gop candidates to me is maddening. it takes an enormous amount ofno courage, an enormous amount of resolve to get into politics in this day and age as a repub and running as an america firstn republican . your reaction,s and we all known why mitch mcconnell is so down on them is because he didn't get the hint. pick them. these aren't just the career politicians or the businessmen trying to put a politicalhe cap on their careers that hepoin prefers people who are just going to be on the line with him on judges, on taxes and never get out of line.he he c can't control them. she doesn't really like them. he should. they're talking about how fetterman is nearly crippled by the stroke. he's having difficulty talking. he's been hiding for weeks and weeks and weeks. he should be out there saying that this guy's a cost player, just shows up in a sweatshirt but has never worked in a steel mill. once in his life, he actually looks more like the kid playing video games in his parents basement. they could be talking about marquel. he's got zero personality k . h warnock is a radical, but instead he wants to go after these candidates because he t wasn't in charge of who got to choose them. the voters ended up choosing them and he's angry over that. everyone has to remember that paul ininwant rand
12:10 am
the u.s. senate. >> he grudgingly had to go along with that. but he was against rand paul . mitch mcconnell has always done whatever mitch mcconnell wants to do, whether it was a tea party movement where he would just say tea party will do doing what mcconnell wanted to do or during trump's administration when he would yell maga while doing exactly w what mitch mcconnell wanted to do, he's in charge. but one of the ways to break that is to get outside money in that mitch mcconnell is someone who blake masters, who pushed back a lot against mitch mcconnell, had to go and kind of apologize to almost and speak kindly because mcconnell controls so much money. where are the donations that are going to president trump? he should be using that money to help be a kingmaker not just in the rallies but in helping to support these candygram so they don't need mcconnell. so trump's got to pony up money in these races. i 100% agree. wewe lost those senate seats in georgia. . t i think that was really bad. i don't think we needed to lose those. i think that money is going to flow. great point. now, chris , speaking of fetterman, i want to play more of this blisteringly longve five minute speech he gave today in front of the props that were his steel m workers. h
12:11 am
>> what is wrong with demanding for an easy, safe kind of their income, a path to a safe place for them to win or excuse me, the right to work and make sure that we deliver what we need to to make sure we deliver an advocate for this sacred union way of life is obviously something wrong with fetterman and we can't letet our compassin for him get in the way of what's at stake here. win this race. they're playing all the gamesth on the crudités and the fact that oz has lived in new jersey, that's all they have. they have stunts and gimmicks because that man shouldn't be running for the senate and he cannot be electedd to the senate because he doesn't represent pennsylvania values
12:12 am
and needs to show some courage here and he to go outside of the box. so got to follow some of the campaign trail ideas that donald trump gave us of basically acting less like a politician, a more like a wrestler, go over to letterman's house banging his door, say come out and debate. why don't we have a conversation? the guy inside there, he can barely string together a sentence. you want to send him to the u.s. senate, come out and speak to me instead of wants to release these videos? fine. i think i would be a better senator . obviously, feldman's record put him exactly in line with whatever the joe biden and the democrats wanted for no longer a populist party. but us needs to step up and challenge and call him the things that you're saying right now. you know, i think we have to deal with the soldierss on the field that we have. theset are the political soldiers we have. in some cases it wasn't the army we wanted, but this is the battle ahead of us and republicans who are throwing shade on these on these candidates. i have no words for them and they're not words i could say and mcconnell's shoveling money to murkowski. no problem. the voters innd our state don'td even want the republican
12:13 am
voters. he has no issue putting money toward that. he doesn't want to help these guys. we need not only mcconnell to step up, but also president trump, the other populist too step up with the money that they have to push herschel walker master is going to talk to in a few moments. all of these people, all running deserve enormous amount of respect for being in the ringng. i'm not running, but i'm not running. running. they're running. and the first time it's really hard. and i think i think they'll be fantastic. get in the senate. but i like your advice. all right, chris , great to see you in studio. now, if you ever doubted that the bush administration considers about half of the country its enemies, you won't. after this story, the white house was somehow stunned by the public outcry after that legislation that would fund what, just eighty seven thousand new irs agents. now, instead of making a change to its own aggressive posture, the binyomin situation is taking preemptive action against its criticsin. so the irs today announced that it's launching what's called a security review of all facilities nationwide with theat
12:14 am
washington post layingng the blame at the feet of congressional republicanstosi and far right extremists lashing out at the agency. nowon, i want to be clear, no one and we know this no one should be making threats against anyone. physical safety. it's ridiculous. no one condones the all threat should be investigated always. but this b is now being used asa way to target those who do not agree with this agenda. now, remember when the fbi like in these concern parents to w domestic terrorists, we could be heading down that same path . remember, the left does not fear criminals and drugs flowing across our open border, but they somehow fear you. they want to stop you. so by equating strong opinions with violence, they aim to silence the most effective critics. this is whatefri china does.ti this is what russia does, not america, at least not until now. and i was like masters republican senate candidate in arizonae.
12:15 am
now your opponent, mark kelly , the incumbent, voted to greenlight these eighty seven thousand extra irs agents, but somehow he claims to be a voice for the people of arizonaa. it's just so crazy or right. is just what we expect from biden, biden and his sidekick mark kelly . you know, these democrats h, lia you said, they campaign as moderates. they pretend to be moderates, but they get in office and they go full pedal to the metal t on the most insanehe authoritarian left wing agenda. you know, first biden threw away our energy independence. he canceled pipelines on day one and he declared war on fossil fuels. and mark kelly was there to help him at every step of the way. and we see that failure. you literally pay for it every time you go to the gas pump. but that wasn't enough for them then they had to destroy t our economy righthe? they threw us into this recession. they won't even admit that it'sn a recession, but that's what it is . they printed trillions of dollars that destroyed american savings and then the cherry on top now is no, they want to stick eighty seven thousand
12:16 am
new irs agents after you to harass you and order you. mark kelly hears about that and he's excited to vote for it. never mind that he rejected het voted against hiring new border patrol agents who west desperately need. d and heid did that because the democrats are the party of open borders. martelli's and joe biden working together. they created this border crisis. we're all suffering for. it seems to me that there are a lot of people who support mark kelly because of, again, the the reverence people have for astronauts. i mean, it's nostalgia. they're amazing. astronauts are incredible. but that's not what we're voting on here in arizona. we're voting on whether we're going to continue to decline as a country, whether your standard of living is going to continue to decline. america is going to get weaker or the opposite. so i think that's the question is not whether people like astronauts, like astronauts. it's whether mark kelly is a rubber stamp for a failed agenda that americans today don't support and the answer
12:17 am
unequivocally is yes, he supports biden's policies. biden's policies are failing, failing periodai. that's right. and we just have to connect those dots here. arizona, obviously the republicans, they think joe biden is just a horriblehe president. but, you know, two thirds of the independents, they think that two people are sick and tired of this biden regime. they know it's failed. and so my job for the next seventy seven days through the election is to tell people ,hey, guess what, you know who's done more than literally anyone else in arizona, j actually in the whole country to help joe biden dragoe us further in the wrong direction u. w it's senator mark kelly .ll wey. just have to go out and tel the truth. kelly's got to lie about me. he's got to lie about his record . pretend to be a moderate. no, if we tell the truth, which is just mark kelly votes fore the biden schumer agenda in lockstep. well, it turns out those o independents who we need when they learn that they want to vote this guy out of office and that's what we're going to do in november thatth counts for eighty seven thousand irs agents snooping into your finances and harassing you
12:18 am
. that's's what he is for. yes. now, by the way, he's leaning into what he calls broad support in arizona and he has an ad featuring the republican mayor of mesa.ub >> check it out. m we may be from different political parties, but that doesn't matter for mark for him. we're all on team m arizona. that's who mark is . mark doesn't look for ways to blame democrats or republicans. he looks for a way forward, not break his partisan voting record would suggest otherwise t ,to say the least. well, that's right. and that's propaganda. what we just saw is propaganda. now, mark kelly , he's got a massive war chest. he's got a lot of money to spread that propaganda. the democrats are running tv ads like that are m running tv ads that lie about me, that lie about mark kelly's record . but l again, we just have to tel the truth. i don't think voters in arizonai will be fooled by mark kelly . we've had two years to see what he and the democrats have deliverednd and it's nothing bui unchecked illegal immigration. it's rising crime. it's skyrocketing prices. and if that's not enough,
12:19 am
how about some transgender ideology in your kid's school? like that's not what normal people want. that's what the democrat ideologues in charge. that's what mark kelly stands for and that's why we're going to send him home on november. all right, blake, great to see you tonight. thanks so much. plus, it's anotheran big primary night with contests in new york and florida. bret bair has and breaking results for us in moments. plus, newt gingrich is here on a new poll showing how liz cheney presidential run couldmo ensure a trump 2020 four victory. watch. stay there. was tied to a secret conspiracy to conceal the truth began to fall trying to control the world with help from the devil. it's a secret. you have people that live in these large rooms and unless you remember having no idea
12:20 am
what you're doing with what's a little bit more shocking, hidden in plain sight, they're creating a fire that's designed to draw in our these kind of three 65% looking for extreme. over the past 40 years, ten thousand animals have been killed in very strange ways, the greatest unsolved crimes. tucker carlson, listen to me now on fox station with the uncrate the raid on a lago. it's more important than ever to the future. here's the truth about president trump. that's why mike huckabee's team wants to give your family the kids guide to president trump this morning for free . it's important to bring it to your kids. the impact that president trump had on the united states and why he can become president again to history gets funding for your family history.
12:21 am
trump guy got something that's free trump guide, .com jewelry a perfect gift. the jewelry exchange has advanced for one sixty nine tenths bracelets for ninety nine 1/2 carat halo rings five ninety nine two carat three stone rings twenty four ninety and one carat stones five ninety nine . by direct the jewelry exchange each year americans waste piles of money by overpaying in car and home insurance. so i went to the super .com zebra shows you which time providers can actually save you money. you could save as much as nine hundred dollars. that's worth two car payment and more for free at the veber .com. now i'm steve johnson, founder of idealism. with rising interest rates and inflation, there's a lot of uncertainty in today's real estate market now more than ever selecting the right real estate can be the difference. and tens of thousands of dollars in your pocket experience matters that ideally will connect you with a top level, will get you the best results for as low as a two percent commission with ideal age. if we were able to get one of the top agents in our area
12:22 am
and he made the process extremely comfortable, he was very professional and his expertise just helped us through that process. we were able to save twenty three thousand dollars. we've helped thousands of home sellers and buyers get five star results, ranking us number one in real estate on trust island. it really shouldn't be as simple as that. we just picked up the phone calls, ideal agents. they put us with our agents and they handled everything. there's no obligation or a cost call today or ideologic fired over a blog post. one player, one common viewpoint extinguish call eightd
12:24 am
eight four eight one, two, four three again. that's eight hundred eight four eight one two four three . results are already rolling in for tonight's primaries. so let's get right to fox, the chief political anchor, bret baer, who is at the bigit board. all right. all the details. brad , i know you have them. yes, laura , good evening. in new york , it all came downam to redistricting, which is ane amazing thing, this race,is because the districts all changed. and so we got a clash of the titans tonight with representative jerrold nadler versus representative carolyn mahoney maloney. and here is nadler's district blue andue, light maloney in the dark blue purple and the red district is right here. this is the new district they were fighting over. it was not even close tonight and it was expected to
12:25 am
be close. but as you lookec at the numbers here during adler with a big win tonight in the new drawnre congressional district, twelve over carolyn maloney. and this is a big you know, a big changing point forha new york . they've both been inng congress since 1993, both of them both of them are committee chairs. now, jerry nadler will be the one to go on and obviously this is a democratic district and likely continue to be . so if you look back ,if we'll look at a couple other y l races here in the 10thoo distrit . this is a real battle. dan goldman, who's a former federal prosecutor, was on the impeachment trial for president trump is leaving here slightly over statete assemblywoman in this. it's almost all in interestingly enough, current congressman beyonder jones from the 17th district came to this district to run for it. he's in third. looks h likee he's going to be t
12:26 am
of the money as there's just a little bit of this vote .is this is going to be a nail biter, though. if we go back here, there is a special election in new york . w people are watching veryat closely. pat ryan versus mark molinaro. this could be a nail biter. the early vote ledai tohe the democrats pat ryan, who's been running a lot on abortion and overturning roe v. wade. what that means for new york . molinaro talking a lotor more about inflation and the economy. and it's seen it is seenno as kind of a bellwethermy for november. we're going to see this. it's still 61% in and some of the early vote is already in and now that same day vote tends to go towards molinaro. let's bounce around a little bit here, then go down to florida. and we do now have a contender against ron rhonda santos and that is charlie crist, congressman charlie crist, democrat, former governor charlie crist, who was
12:27 am
a republican when he waswh governor . now the democratic nominee for governor to run against rhonda santurce in november. as you see, it wasn't really even close against nikki freed , the agriculture commissioner down there in florida. if you look at the senate race, val demings overwhelmingly winning that primary. she will go head to head with marco rubio in november. and that is one to watch and one more race we're going to check out here. and this is a special election to fill the seat of retiring jim inhofe and that is congressman markwayne mullin beating t.w. shannon out in oklahoma. and that is obviously a red leaning state and likely to stay in the red column. we're watching some of those new york races tonight down to the wire, especially the special election. i love it when you said the clash of the titans, i i mean, they really are those two maloney and nadler.
12:28 am
i mean, decades in washington, they're they're fixtures of this town and now well, one of them goes brett's great. great to see you tonight. thank you so much for staying up for and with val demings set take on marco rubio just mentioned this fall, we know that she's become the latest darling of the liberal media complex from "the washington post" resident grumped trump hating liberal jennifer rubin. don't underestimate al demings. she's got marco rubio pegged. not sure what that means, but we've seen this before. right? a bigavhi names republican is challenged and the media swoon. then the money starts rolling. great expectations, greater war chest. in fact, demming fundraising has outpaced rubio's this year and she's outspending him more than two to one . but is money dispositive in a race like this? in 2018, beto o'rourke broke the fundraising record for a single quarter leading up to the election. but of course he still lost to ted cruz, kentucky state senator and navy fighter pilot
12:29 am
amy magrath brought in nearlyil 90 million dollars trying toot unseat mitch mcconnell in 2020. she lost by the close margin of 20 points despite breaking just about every senate fundraising record with nearly one hundred and ten million coming in. and twenty twenty democrat jamie harrison was beaten by lindsey graham by a pretty healthy 10 pointsy. and i p mean, come on , newt w gingrich, who knows more about thisho fox news contributorns and author of defeating big government socialism joins me now m. mr. speaker, republican governor turned independent senate candidate turned think i have this right. democrat senate candidate, as bret mentioned, charlie, the christie crist, he won his primary, going to take on ronda santurce in november should the be worried here. newt? look, i think i've known charlie crist since he was a republican state senator in 1980. before at the reagan convention in dallas.
12:30 am
i thinkk charlie would be a great modeli for a broadway play that was a musical comedyl because his whole life is amazing. i mean, he was a democrat. he's a republican . independent, but he has huge staying power. and i think ron d.a. needs to beat somebody by a big margin. i think that charlie is a perfect example and i think ron will come out of the governor, d.a. will come out of this general election with probably a huge the biggest margin in modernn times for a republican i. and that's a pretty good base for him to t be thinking in the long run about a national career. but charlie, charlie's a justnd i mean, he doesn't exist. i mean, he's pure and he's puret ego. he has no political stands. he has e no platform that matters. he has no values that matter. but no he's a very likable, very energetic, very persistent guy
12:31 am
. and he e obviously can raise enough money to win a primary. so it's fun. it's not serious. and rhonda is the next governor . now, remember, of course, crist tried unsuccessfully to take out marco rubio in this in the senate as wellll. but now the media is certainly rooting for val demings. watch this. i think val demings may have the best chance ofhe pulling off an upset. marco rubio is in real trouble. i don't think anybody expected marco rubio to be inte trouble. he is balgownie is a dream candidate for the democrats with the enthusiasm, the fundraisingav, the media adoration sounds and looks familiar to met. she was obviously orlando police chief for four years. she was first lady when her husband was mayor ofas a florida town . she's well known inn the state.p i think she's pretty well-liked, thought and she seems to be a responsible
12:32 am
person. but first of all, she's going to be part of the biden campaign team. she will never be able to get out from under biden. so be the biden deming's race. and i'm sure rubio's people are good enough. they'll make that really clear the second she is really interesting if they do iraq, remember, they do rock was the magic person who is going to be ted cruz. he raised an enormous amount of money more than i would havess thought possible. and he collapsed totallyib because in the end, i mean, how is she going to explain she was in washington. she did vote for all of these crazy things. she cannot defend any of them. she is , in fact a biden democrat because everybody is running this here is a biden democrat and in the end that is going to crush her. so marco rubio is a great, great speaker of the house, great u.s. senator who i think
12:33 am
will in fact go on to win election again, probably by one of the surprisingly biggest margins. you know, florida used to be a very closely fought state, but i think between the senate and rubio, we're going to startt seeing big margins in florida. and they had a big event, i believe it was this together, which might probably going to see more of those down the line . great to see you tonight. thanks so much. and with the fbi as justification used for the trump raid, just a complete scam. well, our legal eaglescote are going to tell us . plus, a shocking series of murders and albuquerque, new mexico raising new questions about refugee resettlement in the united states . the story you'll only see herels is coming up. >> my husband was a marine and our family lived at camp lejeune during the 80s. while i was there, i suffered a miscarriage and my husband has since died of cancer. now we're learning that
12:34 am
the whole time we were on the base, the water was contaminated. we had water for everything, for cooking, for drinking. we bathed in it. how can this happen? sadly, stories like these are all too common. this water was dangerous for years, nearly three decades. but now congress has passed the cap and justice act. and finally there's some financial relief victims now get the justice they deserve. if you were exposed to the toxic water 10% and have suffered any of these serious health problems called white hot legal right now you and your family may be entitled to substantial compensation if you lived at kamlesh and suffered any serious health problems. call one 888 four to sixty eight hundred. that's one 888 four to 60 800. this was when i noticed how white my son's teeth were and how yellow mine were and i needed to make a change. my smiles, yellowish or dingy and it definitely made you
12:35 am
