that their rights and freedoms are coming under attack but ironically the president has been launching attack of his own recently, especially against the so-called maga republicans. just a few days ago he told them i called them semifascist and a far cry from the uniter in chief. remember he claimed he would be on the campaign trail. and the inauguration speech. critics warn his rhetoric should terrify all americans. at the same time the presidential speech writer marc thiessen says this about the address. >> every one of those addresses involved either announcing military action or a major policy initiative. the prime time presidential address is not supposed to be a campaign speech. >> kayleigh: marc thiessen was on with you this morning, trace, on "america's newsroom." and by mike morel, he got out read out and this is what he

said, white house official said thursdays address in national historical park would focus on the continued battle for the nation and show how the presidency and this is the key part the central argument of 202020 candidacy remains as a sale ever with midterms coming into clear focus. to mark's point it seems like a campaign speech. >> trace: i went back and did a little research with the previous presidents talked about. these are supposed to be important, right, to unify the nation and prime time address beer george w. bush spoke about 9/11, he talked about hurricane katrina, and iraq, barack obama and the bp oil spill the end of combat and air strikes in syria, mass shooting in san bernardino and trump talked about e.u. travel restrictions. this is a political speech. so he's asking for networks to give him time for a political speech which should not happen. this is not to unify the country, this is to go out and dismiss half of the country.

republican and i have to believe rank-and-file people of the fbi very much against what is happening at the top brass. and i think we see that in former whistle-blowers many, many whistle-blowers coming to many lawmakers were saying, "we are the fbi this is not how we operate." >> leslie: one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch. but look, you know, to me this shouldn't be political. i think most of us grew up that what you respect teachers and respect doctors and police officers and law enforcement an institution such as the fbi. that is not the case right now. that can be dangerous because if you are only going to pick and choose what you believe and not believing something, that they are putting out, that is dangerous as a nation. this voters though mike me when this individual is near retirement and retirement from the fbi goes out the door. and i have to agree with you 100% there are people within the

that is a lot of money. and not only that, i could go on and on, but basically raising lazy kids because they want their things to be paid for when they are earning eight education, you have to pay for it. you don't get it for free. that is a different world. >> all those kids who went to harvard need at the loan forgiveness i mean, another study from the tax foundation nonpartisan group that is put what janet yellen is saying, you have to increase tax revenue. 13 states, some of them poor states and highest poverty rates in the country but actually if you claim that deduction and take the federal bailout on the student loan forgiveness, you will get taxed on state levels for the money. in pennsylvania, 300 and hawaii $1100. in several state ag's that will actually file suit. because look, you can't give away money. we have been doing it for youth two years and that is why i believe we are in a recession, technically we are not yet but i will say it.

student loans? >> kamala harris said that that is the reason they were unable to start a family and to get this by a home for piece of the american dream. is that what it is doing is allowing people to buy a home so making college affordable? >> leslie: there is a number of things and we are limited on time. one, if you show up you have to be prepared to. i've said this about the vice president before. you know that i know my question is going to be asked and to your point, people want to know how is it going to be paid for. two, we bailed out the auto industry. we have bailed out rich corporations ppp, small businesses, large businesses and people state by state that have children who send to private school that pay for public school. people that -- i think you get my point. the majority of americans, 56% said that they wanted this and two specifically $10,000, joe biden campaigned on this and
