who cross the southern border illegally. mayor lori lightfoot but lashed out in a blistering statement saying unfortunately greg abbott is without any shame or hum humanity. but ever since he put these racist practices of expulsion and the police have been working with our community partners to ready the city to receive these individuals on individuals and accusations of racism also echoing the liberal media this week. watch. >> the conservative estimate is about $80,000 per bus trip. we know racists don't mind paying this money. they are willing to pay the money they don't care if taxpayers pay the brand. >> am going to start with you, jason. how is this racist? last i checked chicago as a sanctuary city. bigelow, governor abbott and governor ducey in arizona i

applaud them for doing it. it's all about diversity, right? wash it all the people who come here illegally stay in texas, new mexico. so they go to these other cities. it doesn't cost $80,000 to do it. these people do it voluntarily, they sign up for it. the federal government has been sending them out an airplane so why isn't that racist? far more people have gone on airplanes to new york and other places. i think it's an absolutely absurd assertion and if you want to sold the problem would go down to the southern border and see it for yourself and fix it. >> or pay attention to the news. we were talking about how the press secretary literally battled it out with peter doocy, denying the fact that immigrants are walking over the border when we watch them with our cameras every day. abbott is trying to send a message clearly to the white house needs of

president biden's inaction in our southern borders continues to put lives of texans and americans at risk in this overwhelming our communities. these small border towns in texas are completely overwhelmed. they have zero hope from the administration so what else to do? send them to washington. well, time to live up to that moniker, the talk is over time to show action. lightfoot is doing what i think is very lazy response to what happening. meanwhile texas governor abbott is made it clear and strong response. he's deployed the national guard district thousands of dps troopers, constructed barriers mexican border states and how to handle the crisis. reached across the border, everybody. were talking about functional come over talking about cocaine. biggest bust of cocaine in 20 years coming across the border. governor abbott has said enough is enough.

but this is not just his problem. it's already cost him $12 million to send these migrants on these buses. it's not like he's just doing it because he is a racist or out of spite. he's putting his money where his mouth is for the taxpayers of texas because texas has had it. they are overrun. >> the white house needs to listen to the statistics. they are alarming. it's a humanitarian crisis. the number of migrants lost the big cities is a sliver of the crisis of the border. around 9,000 have been bused from texas since may. it pales in comparison to the 649,000 encounters of the southern border in the very same time frame. this is a president that loved to insult the former administration for putting kids in cages, which was a bunch of -- that did not happen. children were temporarily separated from their parents but they were reunited.

what's happening now? there are children on these buses and children being sent to the border illegally without their parents. what is this administration doing about it? >> it's tragic and they do see these pictures and they know but they are turning a blind eye to it. what's really interesting as this is classic left hypocrisy. not in my backyard. when it comes to the energy industry for example. both with blood coming here when it comes to the red states you can overrun them with illegal migrants. they have to use their taxpayer dollars to keep clean up that mess but adams and lightfoot and bowser, they're thing we don't want it here even though they have declared that sanctuary city status. you cannot do that. this is not a red state problem. this is an administration that has made it become an everyone problem. those numbers are really struggling and it just shows you how overrun avid is. he's at his last straw and is

kind of saying you have to help out. you cannot say this is okay and then not accept migrants in your town. >> it's a national crisis. this administration had difficulty using the word crisis but this is also not only a national crisis, it's a political crisis for the democratic party. come midterms i can tell you they are going to be hit where it hurts when it comes to immigration. >> obviously they are concerned it's the easiest cop-out when you disagree with something to call somebody a racist. you say it with such conviction like that it's a fact even though it is not true at all. unfortunately you have democrats who weaponized the term racism. they are diluting the severity of what it actually is. former president and biden would call the senate filibuster racist when it wasn't working for their policies but they were seeing the filibuster is a good thing. it's essential for the democratic process when it was helping them. you have democratic politicians

and black lives matter who would say the police are racist if they were interrogating black americans when it came to violent crimes yet statistically blacks have a higher propensity to do the violent crimes. of note also blacks tend to be victims of violent crime scheme of the people the police are trying to protect. when you have these racial disparities it's not always because of racism. sometimes cultural issues and logistics get in the lead. when you talk about taking migrants to these other cities that is basic logistics be these border towns do not have the infrastructure to support a rapid influx of people. why shouldn't these democratic cities who say they welcome migrants, why shouldn't they help bear the burden? it's not racism, it's basic economics. >> what's interesting is the fact that hispanics are leading down my cleaning further and further away from the democratic party. were not just talking about black people, we are talking about brown people. brown people are seriously offended by this administration

and their lack of dual diligence when it comes to issuing the safety of the border for those illegal immigrants coming in. especially for the children. >> many of the people coming here while law and order. it's this fiction to suggest that every person that comes is hispanic. they c come from more than a hundred and 50 countries. the majority will come from central and south america because of the proximity, but do not suggest to us that it is just those people. 150 different countries are flowing through these countries. one of these -- what are these democrats are worried about? you are the white house say the border is secure. it's closed. nobody's walking across the border. that's the line in the fiction. which one is it? >> i bet you have the president knew all of these migrants coming into the country were republicans he would put up a wall. he doesn't want them coming in

♪ ♪ >> will classrooms across the country focus on woke ideologies and pronouns instead of what kids are supposed to learn, core curriculum, devastag new data has revealed the worst drop in math and reading scores in decades for a fourth grade students. according to national test scores of fourth graders released this morning, decades of growth in reading and math were wiped away by just two years of covid disrupted learning. math scores dropping seven points during that period marking the first ever decline, while reading score slipped five points, producing the largest dip in 30 years on what is being called the nation's report card. meanwhile johnny has to play catch up with his matt and reading, classrooms across the

country appear to be preoccupied teaching kids the ever-growing list of pronouns and why being white is bad instead of core curriculum. our children are into such a different kilt time, nicole, having a child in school right now as a parent could not be the mole -- could not be more frustrating. now they are behind because they were on zoom calls, because they were forced to wear masks when they couldn't see the faces of their teachers try to teach the math and reading. we as parents are going to suffer and are poor children are going to suffer the most. >> everybody's talking about the fact that the kids are not okay. yeah, we know. we've known that since the end of summer 2021 fair health, with data showing children were taking up a larger amount of percentages and going to the emergency department because of mental health issues, suicide attempts and overdoses. we knew they were not okay with the locked onto the virtual

learning. what happened, there is a teacher use union which doubled down and continue to keep them out of school. you had some very brave teachers who came forward saying virtual learning is not working for kids especially those who had learning difficulties. despite all the data that can mount that said it was a work but you have teachers union and the cdc supporting their way to keep them closed down and now here we go. we see the aftermath. the fourth grade students not doing well with reading and math, these are fundamental to their development. they were in the second and third grade throughout the course of the pandemic, that is when you get the basics of your education. we've done a massive disservice to this entire population that it will take years to recover. >> jason i have a 9-year-old daughter and i have been complaining about this since the beginning of the pandemic. i may have to hold my children back a year because math is

because we want to wipe away history. we don't want to talk about slavery in president lincoln and all of that. we want to talk about being bisexual and transsexual and it does first of all no word that has the word sexual in it and i don't want it in any curriculum. i don't want my kids worried about that come i want them worried about reading and writing. that doesn't matter when it comes to college prep. >> not only did we lose last year a and a half as a result of the pandemic but going in this direction of woke education is taking away from the core curriculum. to go to china, julie -- i did an exchange program and ice to go to a chinese school. and you would watch the rigor that these kids started with. they would start their day at 7:30 prayer they were doing exercise drills outside. they were working until the end of the day. they would come home and study until the end of the night. china wants to be the world's largest super power.

absolutely failing. they are giving out too many benefits and they are just tolerating all of this drug use. it's just absolutely something that is avoidable. >> adams is failing here, right? the banks are responding's store patrons can be saved but again this is like the band-aid approach instead of trying to address the root cause. why is he not addressing the homeless crisis on the street? >> the fact atms machines in new york city at multiple banks including one that i bank ad are being closed overnight because homeless people are not only using them as their hotel rooms, but there bathrooms. it's disgusting. these businesses, these banks, who is helping them clean up the mess? not the city. the city created this mess and they need to clean it up figuratively and literally speaking. there homeless people inside his best that are having to be locked up and i do not see one democratic mayor stepping

forward and standing up for these businesses who have already lost so much through the pandemic. >> homelessness is a huge problem, dr. saphier, i see so many mentally ill on our streets. you have to step back and say mayor adams, are you seeing this? do you think this is better for these people? let people wander around like this without giving them the help and attention they need? >> this is a crisis we are perpetuating. we are talking about education and all of us and our children are getting less education and what goes hand-in-hand with decreased education? decreased future earning potential, increased crime, and other things that also contribute to homelessness. as cheryl mentioned earlier a lot of the homeless to have mental illness. again we are flooding our system. we have a lot of migrants coming over who are -- we already have a strep health care system. they are already also requiring further needs.

we are spending more time keeping people across off the border. and we are just not taking care of them. the answer is not putting them up in hotel rooms without taking away the drugs, without giving them the proper mental health care they deserve and without also giving them the ability to get gainfully employed. what are we doing for their long-term safety and health? >> these are all valid questions and i wish our leaders would step up and answer them for us. i think it would make us feel better and safer too. coming up mother nature is playing a joke on california. what the weather is forcing this date to ask drivers to do just days after -- ♪ ♪ the unknown is not empty. it's a storm that crashes, and consumes, replacing thought with worry.
