found the body of the mother behind a vacant apartment. i'm carley shimkus. >> todd: i'm todd piro. the suspect had violent history of rape, assault and kidnapping dating back to the time he was 11 years old. cleotha abston only 16 when he began a 20-year prison term. let's turn to brooke singman with the latest. >> brooke: police have confirmed the body found is the body of eliza fletcher. >> the memphis police department and law enforcement discovered remains of a body, forensic investigation positively identified the body was in fact eliza fletcher. >> carley:'s fletcher's body was located seven miles from where she was kidnapped and a mile

away from an apartment complex where cleotha abston was seen cleaning the floors of his suv. her family says they are heartbroken and devastated and grateful to federal law enforcement for tireless efforts to find her and bring justice to the person responsible for this horrible crime. cleotha abston is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence. surveillance captured a man running aggressively toward fletcher before she was forced into a vehicle last friday. cleotha abston was arrested after investigators matched his d.n.a. to a pair of sandals found near the scene. his criminal record began when he was arrested for theft at age 11, convicted of rape at 14 and

served 20 years in prison for kidnapping a well-known attorney at gunpoint. cleotha abston will be in court today for arraignment. >> carley: we spoke with a criminal defense attorney who says there are a lot of unanswered questions in this case. >> i'm wondering whether or not this person had been stalking her, he has a previous kidnapping, he kidnapped a male attorney, i believe for money 20 years ago and served a sentence. i will go through her social history, his social history, all the internet and phones to see if this was a random thing or something that was plotted in order to try to get money,

wins primaries, the problem this is in massachusetts. there are liberal counties. i would say, you don't want my endorse ments, you will lose if i endorse you. this endorsement got the candidate over the primary finish line, it is harder to win in the general in a cycle pretty good for republicans. we've seen the poll tighten, it will expand back to what we saw. effective democratic attacks calling republicans extremist, especially on the abortion issue. i don't see republicans fighting back, talk about democrats and extremism on the left.

reopen schools during covid-19. the california teachers association is being accused of hiring researcher to investigate where parents stood politically, whether they are republican or democrats. this teacher's union is doing opposition research on parents. how did we get here? >> sean: i'm confused by this, i thought it was teachers unions trying to keep schools open. i thought joe biden and democrats are trying to keep schools open. now you are telling me they were spying on parents who wanted to reopen schools? i can't keep up. we lived this trying to shut down schools, parents, left, right, middle, open schools up, this is best for kids. a california teachers union

spied on parents? bringing their allies in to school board meetings to push back on parents and make sure schools stay closed? we are seeing results of closing schools, reading and math scores have dropped 5 and 7 points. it's been horrific on other than which, we're seeing kids not come back to school. we're seeing mental anguish for kids. i think this is heartbreaking and i wish our teachers unions will get back the idea we're mission driven to educate kids in math, science, reading, not here to do crt or transgenderism, our idea is not to make them activists and i think that is what teachers unions mission is.
