some are going up the street. what happens to your battery on your phone in extreme temperatures? they don't work as efficiently. there are all sorts of reasons why they need to rethink this. california in particular, that human element. when i lived there, high school, college, my dad was in the military, i lived in the bay. i was in arizona last couple of weeks, 114-15° to us is not as big of a deal in california. they are getting into the teens. can't imagine what that is like for them. that is going to be really tough. i hear him saying don't plug stuff in. he is not talking about that human element. >> that's right to her point sacramento area got up to 112. this is on the heels, i think what is hard to stomach as a californian, too. this is a government that asks so much of their citizens, so bankrupt.

of him -- the fact that they run a bully pulpit there. there is no way someone that has real logical fuels can win. most californians i know are deeply disappointed with the people in elected office. unfortunately they are not given a choice. your sister with the two-year-old son thriving, all of those people that don't have choices in the inner cities. they can't keep refrigeration. >> harris: it is not just the thousands of homeless, i just about the number not the people. it is about resources, too, jessica. if you look at the learning gap, for children in those inner cities like compton. when you look at that, it is across the board resource sucking for them.

now at this time it is about air conditioning. if we were back on digital it would be about education again. those have to be plugged in, too. this is about having a blind spot for transition. even elon musk talked about this. we have to transition 20% of electricity coming from coal. another chunk, 50-60% coming from fossil fuels. we are not ready yet! if california grid doesn't preach it to us. if that bully pulpit can't show us. i am glad your sister and nephew are not suffering. wonderful. a lot of people in california really feeling this. >> i wasn't trying to say there was no suffering. this is not going to lead to reversal in the way people feel about reaching these goals and we need to be smart. >> harris: maybe leave

♪♪ >> last but not least, this weekend i had the honor of attending the wedding for the founders of canine hurricanes heroes. this special couple and dear friends of mine, former secret service agent marshall and his now wife lisa have been together since high school and hurricane played a huge part in everything, including being the ring bearer. you may remember hurricane, he was a u.s. secret service dog with marshall, apprehended the white house intruder on live television in 2012 when the first family was in the white house. hurricane had to retire after the injuries he suffered during that successful apprehension and marshall realized medical bills are not covered post retirement. so he and lisa founded canine hurricane's heroes to provide veterinary care for retired working canines who serve our
