to aberdeen, scotland. we're being told that prince william has arrived, as well. we'll let you know what we know when it's reported. >> dana: the queen is continuing to be under medical supervision and surrounded by her family. prince william just arrived. updates throughout the day. harris faulkner is up next. here she is. >> harris: breaking news as we closely monitor the situation with queen elizabeth ii. the longest reigning british monarch is under medical supervision at last check. all four of her children are at her side and now we can confirm that the queen's grandson, prince william, has landed in scotland. he is not quite at balmoral yet but he is on the ground in scotland. a spokesperson for prince harry and his wife, meghan markle say that they are en route as well.
8:01 am
we're watching all of it very closely as you might imagine. i'm harris faulkner and you are in "the faulkner focus". doctors have been saying they are keeping queen elizabeth medically comfortable at balmoral castle in scotland. buckingham palace says they're concerned for her health. yesterday the queen canceled a virtual meeting with her private counsel and she was also described as looking frail at an event earlier this week. in fact, many people since that event have talked about how frail she looked. a lot of loss of weight. they were concerned and not necessarily doctors. senior foreign affairs correspondent greg palkot is live for us in london. greg with the latest. >> it's safe to say the u.k., perhaps many around the world, are holding its breath maybe saying a few prayers this amongst the troubling news about the health of queen elizabeth ii, the 96-year-old sovereign of this country.
8:02 am
we got world from the royal household following further evaluation by doctors there is concern for her majesty's health and she is now under medical supervision. they add, however, this is comforting, she remains comfortable at that scottish estate of balmoral. remember we saw her on tuesday. she was meeting with u.k. prime minister liz truss. truss is her 15th prime minister to have served during the reign. yesterday we got word, however, as you noted that the queen had to cancel a meeting with members of the government. she was hospitalized last october. since then has had to cut down her schedule due to what they call mobility issues. i was told she has a bit of a bum knee actually. this is a much more serious condition. a sign of the serious nature as you noted, harris, her close family has rushed to be at her

side at balmoral now we're told her four children, that's prince charles, prince andrew, princess anne, prince edward and also as we just noted her eldest grandson prince william has just landed. other household members, relatives of her, have landed along with prince william amid that word that prince harry and meghan will be coming to the country. we last saw the queen at the platinum jubilee in june that marked 70 years on the throne. she had to cut back appearances a bit but she was there smiling. the grateful country warmly greeted her and her long, long service. there were a lot of ups and downs. we're saying in a big way, too, the emotions and concerns being expressed. prime minister truss saying in a tweet the whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from buckingham palace. my thoughts and the thoughts of the people across our united kingdom are with her majesty the queen and her family at
8:04 am
this time. i have to admit a lot of folks in the united states are concerned as well. remember, also during her reign there have been 15 u.s. presidents. she has seen 14 and i know there are a whole bunch of fans across the country coast to coast also watching, waiting and wishing for her as the whole country, the whole world holding its breath. >> harris: one of the things that we'll touch on this hour as well is prince william makes his way to her side at balmoral, is all of the world changed and all that has happened under seven popes and you mentioned the presidents and also the 15 prime ministers. so we'll get into that as well. right now we're focused very much so on her health and we'll come back to you as the news warrants on that. we do want to get to some of the other big stories of the day as we continue to watch what happens in scotland.

8:10 am
it has to be about holding them accountable and putting a check and balance on the radical, extreme left wing administration that we have right now. >> harris: what would you add to what senator thune is saying? >> it just will be about these things. the media can't hide a 40 year high inflation and record gas prices. they can't hide open borders or the rising crime. and so this will be a referendum on democrat policies and democrat governance that caused all of this. it is not like president biden is unlucky he came to office when all these things happened. his policies caused it all. he is the root cause of all the pain being experienced by wisconsinites and americans throughout the land caused by his policies. it is naturally going to be about -- referendum on democrat governance and policies. >> harris: quickly i want to pop it on the screen and ask my team.
