all his siblings were at the balmoral castle. prince here is on the way and according to sources, megan is not joining him. other royal family members are there as well and just yesterday the queen canceled a virtual meeting because doctors advised her to rest. the palace at this, upon further evaluation the doctors are concerned for the majesties health and recommended she remain under medical supervision here are the queen remains comfortable and at balmoral castle. the queen's 96 years old, the longest-serving monarch having celebrated platinum jubilee three months ago. but the last couple of years have been difficult for the queen. she lost the president prince f prince philip in 2021 d her son prince andrew and grandson and most recently recovered with a belt of covid. martha, you have followed this

family and the platinum jubilee but i think it is very difficult to overstate the importance of queen elizabeth in world history. going back to world war ii, 25 years old there about that time frame and trust her long sustaining reign to be second longest reigning monarch in world history. >> thanks, kayleigh, at it's great to be here. obviously, if this is big news. it is significant the pilots put out this statement. generally they keep everything close to the vest and putting out that she is at home and her doctors are concerned and that she is resting comfortably, all of that indicates that they are keeping her comfortable and that she is in a difficult situation. she is not at the hospital, for example, she is at home in the family is coming to her there. they do not release information on her condition on a routine basis. they more likely say things

along the lines, she will not be able to attend this or that which we have seen over the last couple of months." this is clearly significance but we have to be careful about not getting ahead of ourselves in any of this because this condition could be the status for little while. we just don't know. we do know they are at her side, her immediate family. the plane landed a short time ago and prince william was on that plane. before that they brought in members from the main resident. she is always at balmoral castle in the summertime and leaves mid-october. this is where she was expected to be one of her absolute places to be and she loves to ride and take the car out on the grounds there. so what is a big moment, it really is, and it is reflective of the history, because you were saying she has witnessed since world war ii until today. speed to 1952, she takes the

throne, harris meets with 15 prime minister and has that weekly meeting with the prime minister and spent 13 of the last 14 presidents. the one that stands out in my mind just so significant to her place in history is when she is descending the plane staircase for the first time. her father has passed away. she is landing in kenya. at the bottom of the stair is that winston churchill, the prime minister who would be there. of the film people in the world scoured the globe could not have found anyone so suited for the part. >> harris: how about that. her dad's death was sudden but she prepared for this her whole life or her family prepared her is probably the best way to say it. it is a constant reminder of the duty began immediately, and it does not cease. there are no moment you take off from being the queen, including the first woman. so, she really was made for this moment and passion for this

moment and honed for this moment. she has had so much of that throughout her life where people may have underestimated her. and certainly, in 1952 with everything that was going on, there were a lot of reasons to underestimate somebody so young. they didn't know what she was made of yet. we have seen her through tried and true times, impact, i had on nile gardiner who was with principle for margaret thatcher. he talked about the queen's relationship with former president reagan and how she leaned on him at times to shore up the relationship between the queen that she was having with margaret thatcher. also a very strong woman in the leadership, i can only imagine. president reagan, former president reagan was sort of able to nurture that relationship by example and through what relationship. she has been there through 14 presidents, 15 prime minister's, but most recently through a couple of other strong women in the household.

kate middleton and meghan meghan markle. there have been reports first day of school in the u.k. so kate staying back today. meghan markle, we are not told why she wouldn't be there. my imagine tells me, martha, let's get down the drama. whatever the reasons are the closest knit family members right there with the queen. mi hope for them would be that these are while they may seem like hospice moments because the doctors have you gather, that they are quality moments, too, that she is able to be medically aided right now and they can have those conversations. they are so rich as human beings for us to experience. >> kayleigh: they are. emily go ahead. >> emily: just one quick thought because i was reading about the passing of the queen mother. and health when she was dying, she had opportunities to speak with friends on the phone. to give away favorite courses to

crown to think really beautifully illustrating that human quality of hers and harris, you make a great point. she symbolizes duty so beautifully, but in this human, graceful way of what you were describing with katie to meet indicates she put country above all else. people above all else. she was able to bridge the division or perceived tension between the royal family and parliament there. they really did seek to unify with that common goal of service and serving the people above all else. i wonder, too, and shed some light on this when you brought up the new women of the family. oftentimes in families, especially complicated ones, when a matriarch sort of passes when there is a passing of the baton, sometimes tensions put at bay were put to rest for many years suddenly surface. and i wonder if we've heard

reports that prince charles has extended an invitation to harry to stay with him and that he declined and reports are to his disappointment and sadness. i wonder if and when the queen passes if that means the tensions we already know exist. we know there is tension if that will bubble over and become worse. >> kayleigh: you are looking at a live shot of balmoral and a number of cars coming in as we are speaking. joe, she was also a woman who was meant for this moment. it was unlikely the passing of her own. she was the first daughter of the second son of george the fifth and only because it advocated that she got this opportunity. you cannot imagine someone for the last 70 years were made for this moment. >> joe: indeed and when you read biographies on her it is amazing. she paid for her wedding dress with world war ii russians. she volunteered to be a truck driver in world war ii and ended up being the first member of the

royal family to serve in the british military. it is not like she came from a very rich place and ascended to the throne. this is someone who cared about her country, clearly and from a perspective, she spoke on the radio for the first time speaking to the country on the dbc at the age of 14. trust me, slightly old it 14, that is a scary thing to do but she had so much bravery. my fear is that emily brought her up before and martha, martha maccallum thank you for being here because this is the bullpen and if anybody knows the queen and royalty, it is martha maccallum. i hope if she passes and hopefully this is just a moment they take precautions we have her for a longer time, but if she does pass, what i'm afraid of is the media perspective all of the attention goes to meghan markle and all goes to the gossip and the controversy of celebrating this queens life and what it was. >> harris: i don't think it is that.

coordinating a local response. she will allocate $10 million to establishment to support the new office and says she will seek reimbursement for part of that funding through fema. joe concha, your thoughts on this. >> joe: wow, texas town in arizona towns have resources out of chicago. so migrants everyday. public health emergency? and with the public emergency is the fentanyl coming over the border on the daily basis. 300 people a day or dying out of opioid overdoses in this country driven by fentanyl. i believe it was on your program, martha, you interviewed a mom and compared to let's say the aviation industry had to absorb a airplane crashing everyday. 300 people dying every day. the aviation industry would be shut down. yet, you never hear the president talking about this for that problem and here we have muriel bowser putting on a big show when she clearly can handle this compare to texas.

emergency and requesting $10 million to open up the office of migrant affairs. the answer is more government. we need immediate response. we need to turn off the hemorrhage at the border. we don't need to create jobs and position descriptions and hiring and everything else that goes along with the bureaucratic blow to government. it is ironic to me the mayor of the government seat, of course, more government resource and a bigger government to handle this when really what we need a strong leadership in the white house and policy that will stymie this influx over the border and certainly acknowledgment would be the first step. >> harris: you know what is interesting about the outsourcing of the responsibilities that you just outlined, martha, it takes her out of the politics at the moment. she doesn't have to invest in politics. she can sit back and say this is the federal government's problem or responsibility. you know she will seek reimbursement for $10 million taxpayer dollars from her own state and her own district. what are your thoughts question
