more important in so many other things. they've been thrust into the limelight and every move studied. these will be conscious decisions but that was brought out and the fact that william and harry were walking together and talking. i think it shows blood is thicker than water. that is what will come through and all of this. >> todd: what will you be watching for today? >> today, we have the king arriving and walking behind his mother's coffin as she arrives at the cathedral. but we will see from this afternoon, st. charles the third opening up in the public lining up and they have been warned to bring food and water and be prepared to wait to pay your respects. i've been looking to see how large those crowds are. i imagine they will be large. and we have the queen, say, the

the city of chicago says it will be a sanctuary city which i oppose, but there must be hotel rooms in chicago. this is hundreds of people in a city of millions. why are they sending them out to the republican suburb? you have to wonder and a great question there then i'm sure he would love an answer to that. >> it is a great question and really the greatest thing about what governor abbott is doing is exposing the hypocrisy to the democratic mayors making them basically public to acknowledge it implicitly. so it is funny to see that. you know, you are right, chicago is a sanctuary city which means they have advertised the fact they won't kick out criminal illegal aliens that commit crimes and convicted in this country. they said they will not cooperate with them and kick them out. this idea that they can't accept them from texas or anywhere else is certainly hypocrisy and more

hypocrisy by sending them somewhere else. but she does and just like mayor adams has done is reveal the truth of this issue to the extent that this is a very expensive issue for the communities having to deal with it and a drain of resources from public safety to health care to schools. it is really, really expensive. and another thing that is quite funny about this, i don't know if you saw senator durbin made a comment that inhumane the city of chicago. he is acknowledging how dangerous chicago is and shows mayor lightfoot should be concentrating on that and that is why her city can't afford additional resources because they had so many problems in chicago right now. >> todd: the governor of illinois calling the mayor of burbridge xenophobic but if he has xenophobic isn't lori lightfoot xenophobic for doing the exact same thing? >> yeah, exactly.

it is always the same game the way the democratic party in this administration has dealt with the illegal immigration issues and simply calling people names, lying and trying to censor people. of course, it is the same thing. and it it's not xenophobic. it is scarce resources in all of the communities for the vital issues and they are having to spend them on other things. and it highlights this administration should actually start doing something about this and taking this seriously. people are tired of the games and the fact that the vice president is such a joke. everybody knows it. it is one of those things, what is the point of lying when there is no chance anyone will believe you? it is so bizarre in so many ways. >> carley: it is so true and jonathan, to that point, we saw the footage if you weeks ago of border patrol agents opening the gate and letting illegal immigrants through.

just yesterday, you have the vice president saying the border is secure. if you look at the images, quite clearly it is not. how can they continue with this narrative that is clearly so false? >> yeah, i don't -- like i said, i don't understand it. what is the point? everyone knows they are lying about it. maybe they are hoping when she's on "meet the press" or one of the shows, one of the people watching the show is not aware because there's not broader coverage of the issue, but it is bizarre. it is so obviously true. a year and a half ago, her issue was working on the root causes of the illegal immigration, which at that point was the bad weather and other stuff. just complete nonsense. just to come out here and say the border is secure is an insult to the american people and an insult to the border patrol agents, law enforcement agents that know, it is not

>> todd: not someone as "excited as harris is." tim ryan running in hotly contested race against j.d. vance. let's hear what he has to say. >> do you think he should run again in 2024? >> well, my hunch is we need new leadership across the board like a generational move for new leaders on both sides. >> todd: my guess is gloria, you speak to a lot of democrats. do they feel more like tim ryan or more like kamala harris when it comes to joe biden in 2024? >> the "los angeles times" just published a survey and it was done a poll supporting biden. overall, some 54% oppose another term for joe biden. it is even higher among latinos which is a significant part of the democratic party that is quickly blocking the way.

been charged with any crime in this doj investigation. should vice former pres vice president and doj be talking like this? >> absolutely not. i'm a former board of the aclu that believes in due process and the respect for seizure rights. many of us, most of us are appalled. whatever we think of donald trump and whatever happened to the former president of the united states. so i am disenchanted with that, once again, it is a way to try to reshape and to try to encourage the electorate to not look at inflation, to not look at supply chain, to not look at the crisis of a very unsecured border and to try to focus on so-called divisive issues such as an act of this court. it is a disappointment. will of us should respect this third branch of government. we often say when you go to a

john, good morning to you. can you describe the conditions in del rio today? speak with the conditions at eagle pass, essentially the bor. we were there cleaning the last couple of days, and it is completely out of control. the amount of clothes, shoes, medical waste and human waste scattered all over the border is out of control. we figured we needed to go down there and pick it up and get back to our country. >> carley: i'm sure you're talking to other residents in eagle pass. what are they telling you about this? >> they feel like they are a prisoner in their own county. a lot of the residents are trying to sell their homes to flee the county because they were being overrun. but no one wants to move to eagle pass unfortunately because of how bad it is. i mean, the medical services are overrun, food pantries overrun and illegals walking up and down

the road all over the place. every gas station begging for money. it is just like a third world country down on the border. it is really sad. >> carley: you make such a good point. if you live in eagle pass and want to sell your home, you can't. this is actually affecting residents financially. >> oh, my god, it is destroying them. forget about the private ranch owners. we clean up the ranch owners land two days ago. he has his cattle and goats eating plastic, eating clothes. he lost a goat, he lost a cow. he was telling me he used to be able to enjoy the rio grande on his land. now, it is covered in trash. he has to cover dough might carry a sidearm not to protect himself from wild animals but he never knows who's coming on his property every day. it is tragic. we are talking about an american citizen to be able to provide for his family and by that property and he's trapped in his

own property right now. >> carley: last night kamala harris once again said the border is secure and you heard karine jean-pierre say people not walking across the border. what is your message to them? >> my messages they should go down and see it firsthand like i did. and it's pretty sad when a moving company owner from palm city florida has been down to the border more times than kamala harris, joe biden and karine jean-pierre combined. i'm a small business owner but a concerned citizen information to be down there more than them is disgusting. >> carley: so you say a small business owner and founder of great american cleanup but what is motivating you to clean up these areas? >> i just love serving the country. i'm retired from the army but i feel like i have more to give back a more service to give. this is a good way for me to give back to the united states of america and the country i love by going down to the
