people coming out, trying to buy their first home and having increased mortgage payments and small businesses trying to get lines of credit, having to be more interested just to keep their doors open. >> todd: the white house spin on this wasn't just during that completely tone-deaf press conference or whatever it that was yesterday in the rose garden. it was also this statement because they felt comfortable literally putting this in riding "today's data shows more progress in bringing global inflation down in the u.s. economy. overall prices have been essentially flat in our country's last two months before that is welcome news for american families with more work still to do." prices have been essentially flat? basically what they're saying is it hasn't been that bad for july and august but we need to remember that a number. 8.3% is above what this white house came in at. white house came in at 1.4% inflation when they started to go there now at 8.3%. despite his democratic and white house efforts to deflect,

is there any doubt that it will be the top issue at the poll in november? >> i hope and pray it is and it should be. this is what republicans need to close the last 60 days of the selection about your cupboard in relation to quit only getting worse because the more that the biden administration and democrats in washington spend money and print money, the higher inflation is going to be. in other words, the more people are going to pay for gas and food and rent an everyday expenses because the government is devaluing the dollar everyday by passing more spending bill that are unnecessary and continue to print money, borrow money from china, and at the end of the day, significantly increase inflation. >> carley: yesterday, joe manchin says that he does not regret signing onto this bill because he was promised separate permitting bill that will pass eventually down the road. it would be permitting reform from fossil fuels because he

wants to increase fossil fuel use in this country, which a lot of republicans think is a good thing, but he also says that he needs republican support to pass that, and the continuing resolution. will he get it? will that will pass? because not looking good but you imagine. he has a lot of explaining to do in west virginia. i agree with you imagine that we need to increase our energy capabilities in the united states, but what he underestimated is how liberal democrats and the house of representatives are right now just as we speak, that negotiating among themselves to try to get this continuing resolution passed. they don't want to support this. >> carley: would you vote yes on that bill? >> i can't vote for any more increased spending. we have to cut it off you go inflation is the number-one issue and the democrats, they can call it a continuing resolution. they're going to try to increase spending attack on other unnecessary items of this bill. >> todd: let's look at the numbers again. this is what you, the american

we were essentially handled it now and we are going to be watching for it and making sure that this doesn't become more of an issue. imagine the reaction has been mixed, implying that there were some people that were in favor of this. connecticut, as we all know, very liberal state, a lot of democrats live in southington. even though it's somewhat of a republican done a lot of democrats obviously deliver because it is connecticut. what are the people who are for this vocabulary say? >> again, you have to remember that this is a theory. going back to college and philosophy and everything else, again, does this belong in tenth grade english? no. at the end of the day, people will be exposed to it at some point in there -- whether it's the career of others going to higher level of learning, again, there's people that are -- they don't subscribe to the fact that based on the color of your skin

that you're more inherently likely to be successful. i say that's absolutely preposterous. >> todd: bigger picture here. to parrots need to review every single piece of paper that comes across their kids desk going forward? >> honestly, i've said this from the beginning of being on the board, the most important teacher in a child's life, good, bad, or indifferent, is the parent and the family. it is your responsibility as a parent just like i do in my 12 year old and 10-year old, is to unpack what start and to help them understand and think critically and ask the right questions. again, it's absolutely, positively, the most important thing a parent can do. >> todd: still don't understand why certain teachers feel like they're entitled inject their agenda when literally there. by the taxpayer to teach the basics, to get the children
