the unprecedented action is letting everybody. in watch. >> over the weekend the vice president said that the border is secure but we are on track to close fiscal year with 2 million encounters breaking last year's record in last month alone fentanyl seizures up 200 percent and we are on pace to barack that record also this year. so how is the border secure? >> we are actually catching fentanyl before it enters the country so that's how we see that. look, as far as the border, we are taking unprecedented action. we had to fix something that was broken, especially by the last administration. we have secured record levels. this is what we have been able to do. funding for the department of homeland security. >> brian: unbelievable. and they just don't want you to believe facts. they don't want you -- they want you to believe the economy is doing great and the border is closed. how would you even know.

you get 100 kilos of fentanyl. that means so much more got through that you can't possibly be able to stop. you really think we got all of it because you got some of it at the border? to think that anybody would even say that is mind boggling. ice admits, too, that most of the people we do capture that turn themselves in, only 30% are turning themselves back in. the rest are not coming back. they end up in homeless shelters all across the country or who knows where they are. >> ainsley: if they would talk to the border agents or the ice officials, they would learn that brian. they also need to talk to the residents that are affected. listen to some of these stories. >> several weapons i need to have here because i don't feel safe. so you are like running stuff or killing animals to eat. i don't know or stealing your things. we need to close our business at 9:00. we now close at 7:00.

>> steve: that's just extraordinary. >> brian: we are doing nothing. >> steve: businesses are closing earlier. residents are teaching kids how to use tasers. killing dogs to steal the property. as you look at that group of migrants right there, the federation for american immigration reform fair, what they are estimating today the number of migrants who entered during the joe biden administration cost 83 billion a year. 1.3 million caught and released in the united states fair says. there are about 1 million got-aways. they estimate that every migrant costs american taxpayers $10,000 a year to support. so, look at all those people right there. how many times have we shown you bill melugin video that shows 100 migrants. well, you know what? let's just do the math. next time you see 100 migrants coming into the country. 100 people each at $10,000. that's $1 million a year to support them.

does joe biden know that it's costing a million dollars for every hundred? i don't think he does or else he doesn't care. >> brian: they would just say no, that's not happening. that's not happening. we got all the drugs. the border patrol is broken. the border was broken and i'm fixing it. even though the numbers say the exact opposite just like the economy is going great. and even though the people deal and the numbers say the exact opposite. nearly 250,000 migrants have flooded yuma, arizona. how senator kelly with a straight face could say he is doing a good job is unbelievable. they said the medical service bill illegals come here is up to $20 million. where is that money coming from. you wonder why medical costs are coming up? because we are taking care of people from other countries that don't belong here. >> ainsley: i would venture to say more than $10,000 per migrant per year. medical costs, travel, cities are putting them up in hotels now. you heard lori lightfoot getting

so upset with the governor of texas with abbott, because she said he never warned me. is he sending these migrants to illinois, to chicago without warning me. just dropping them off. he's not a good christian, she says. and then you have all of these mayors in the suburban areas around chicago. and now they are getting the migrants because lori lightfoot, who complained that she didn't get any warning is now doing the same thing with some of these local mayors. and this is craig johnson, the elk grove village, illinois mayor on all these migrants being bussed to his city, listen. >> we got word that some migrants are coming. we asked how many, we don't know. where are they going? we don't know. what time are they going to get here? we don't know. and more importantly we asked what kind of safety background have they had done and what kind of health background they have had done? we told them until we got answers to those questions we couldn't let them come into elk grove village. steve our problem is we weren't getting answers and we are still not getting any answers. what really bothered me was the

governor, he has pretty much labeled suburban mayors xenophobic. and, to me, that's wrong. we are welcoming and we want to continue to welcome people. >> steve: right. the mayor is saying we will welcome the people. let's do it by the rules. they need to know whether or not the people have diseases coming in. that was one of his concerns. and whether they have gone through a criminal background check. after he said you are not dropping anybody off. next thing you know somebody from department of homeland security calls like 10 hours later and says everybody has been checked. which, you know, the mayor is assured that that really happened. >> brian: they are breaking the law by being here. they are illegal aliens. asylum seekers, believe me 25-year-olds by the thousands, by the millions coming in here aren't looking for asylum. they want to come to the best country in the world. we have a process for doing that. they are breaking the rules by being here. i don't think there is anything wrong with the mayor saying i don't know who they are i want them out. >> ainsley: talk to somebody who did it the right way furious

justify the raid on former president trump's mar-a-lago house. >> steve: never before seen sections detail the former president's cooperation with the fbi. >> brian: why now? kevin corke joins us with the latest. hey, kevin. >> hey, guys. certainly plenty of cooperation. bit by bit, we are learning an awful lot more about what the justice department claimed was its justification to execute an unprecedented raid on the home of the former president of the united states. just yesterday we saw that the u.s. magistrate bruce rinehart unsealed additional portions of the heavily redacted form that was used to justify the raid on the mar-a-lago home in florida. now, rinehart, you will recall, actually signed off on the august 5th raid from which agents took numerous items from the premises that it said were improperly stored. this from the newly unsealed affidavit. quote: since the 15 boxes were provided, additional documents bearing classification markings

which were stored at the premises in an unauthorized location have been produced to the government in response to a grand jury subpoena. another section uncovering what that may 24th subpoena was seeking from the former president. quote: any and all surveillance records, videos, photos from internal cameras located on ground floor of the mar-a-lago property from the time period of january 10th, 2022 to the present. keep an eye on those dates. meantime the affidavit also revealing that the president's team did, in fact, comply handing over materials that the fbi requested. again, quoting: on july the #th, 2022, in response to this subpoena, representatives of the trump organization provided a hard drive to fbi agents. so, to refresh your memory, it was just last month that magistrate rinehart first released an unredacted version

of the affidavit with about 20 of the 38 pages either significantly or fully redacted. the trump team meantime has long insisted this is basically a records dispute. that they argue has gotten completely out of hand. and for perspective, yes. there have been other former presidents who battled with the national archives over records. but never in american history has it reached the level of raids and with warrants and subpoenas and even rumors of a possible indictment. and another reminder the president's team, the former president that would be, is continuing to await a final decision on former judge raymond dearie to be selected as special master. we will keep an eye on that. especially if it breaks i will bring it fast on here, guys. >> steve: thank you very much. all right. a quarter after the top of the hour. >> ainsley: hand it over to carley for headlines. >> carley: we are going to start with america's crime crisis.

starting in chicago, one person is dead and six others are hurt after a shooting at a chicago park last night. the deadly incident comes days after a man is robbed at gun point in broad daylight. three men jump out of a dark-colored sedan and approach the victim before threatening to kill him if he didn't give up his wallet. the man, who is a member of the national guard went on to elbow the attackers in the face before escaping, thankfully unharmed. police are still trying to track down the suspects. a procession is set to begin in just a few hours to transfer queen elizabeth's coffin from buckingham palace to hall lie in state until funeral on monday. prince charles and kate and harry and meghan will all take part in the ceremony. president biden is in party mode. the president holding a celebration on the white house south lawn over so-called inflation reduction act on the

the sausage meatball won't slide out because it's buried in the bun. it's so cheesy, so tasty. so simple. just watch. first, roll up your meatballs. into the oven they go, 350 degrees, 20 minutes. in a pan, add some peppers and onions, then add your favorite marinara sauce. line a baking dish in foil. bottoms of the buns, both pan. mozzarella time. add the sauce and set aside. now, get out a biscuit cutter and start making holes. brush on top melted butter can garlic powder. now, go get the meatballs and start stuffing. then cover with more cheese. and place in the oven.

folks are very excite dollars with the results. we have got drive that all the way through on november. >> ainsley: i also wanted to talk to you about the student loan forgiveness plan. i know you are against it. you and 21 other governors across our country signed this letter and sent to joe biden, all republican governors. why are you all against it? >> it's unfair. i mean, look, it's inherently unfair. it doesn't cancel any debt. it just shifts it. all we are doing is shifting the liability to folks that might not have gone to college, folks that were responsible and paid their loans off. students have their loans, they have taken them out and on their path to paying them. like i was i paid off my 27803. i paid that out every single month for nearly 14 years until my wife and i paid our student loans off. everyone can do it. the other big issue here is that it's not going to get to the core of the problem. escalating costs. you know, we think inflation is bad. but post secondary education colleges have had massive inflation for the last 20 years, this does not to really go at

the heart of that problem. in fact, it makes it worse. so it's just a band-aid on to something. it's unfair, it's shifting liability. it's not what america is all about. i think it's really going to work against the democrats' agenda in november. >> ainsley: great if you are a student and have loans and find out the government is going to pay them off. what about the 80-year-old. the 75-year-old that's retired on a fixed inning, already paid off his or her student loans. paid off their kids and now they are going to have to pay strangers' student loans. >> picking winners and losers at arbitrary time for political reasons. how about all the kids that went to, you know, trade school. right? and they're out there. >> ainsley: or the military. >> yeah. let's face it. we are not paying this down with cash. right? this is just moving the -- it's going to cause more taxes down the road that the same individuals along with all of us are going to have to pay one way or the other. the federal government is no position to do stuff like this. going to work against folks. one thing or another, you can be force or against a policy.
