there were the queen's guard waiting to receive the casket. overnight and an opportunity for the staff at buckingham palace to say their final goodbyes to the woman who was their boss and their queen for decades. many of them it's a huge transition for a lot of members of the royal palace staff as well. we are going to see something very significant here at 2:22 this afternoon, the coffin will come out on the gun carriage which also carried the coffins of queen elizabeth's father, her grandfather, and her great grandfather. so, this is an historic procession we also know prince william, the prince of wales and his brother, harry the duke of sussex will be behind of the coffin with her father, now king charles the third, all of the other siblings of the children of queen elizabeth and some of the relatives will also be as part of the procession. their spouses will travel by car

to westminster hall where the queen will lie in state. i think it's going to be a moment that reminds people of that very sad procession of princess diana's coffin with both sons walking behind with their father. now of course prince philip's gone, was one who encouraged the young boys to be there part of the historic moment and for them to witness the family together so i think this will be something, very special moment that is orchestrated practice and rehearsed on the part of all those involved this morning. >> ainsley: martha this is the first time london gets a chance to say goodbye to her. or what have you heard about the people that are waiting in line? we were hearing at one point you may have to wait overnight? >> martha: yes, ainsley, i went out this morning and to see everybody gathering and you can see some of them in this shot here. it was probably ten or 12 deep earlier this morning when i went out and went walking around people were in a very good mood.

they were happy to be able to get a spot to see the queen's hearse go by significant to a lot of generational family gatherings along there as well. and then you also have the other queue which is about 4.5 miles they expect. which will go across westminster bridge to the other side of the teams and perhaps miles down so ready to wait perhaps 20-25 hours, i don't think we have is real sense yet of who will get on that line to have the moment of seeing the queen lying in state but it's an extraordinary turn out and i will also save probably the most spectacular weather we have ever seen in london. so i think there is a little bit of smiling on this event to make it comfortable for all of those who want to lay their respects, it's astonishing. they were sweeping every corner of the street, there is not a flower out of place here you can tell from being here they can make this place shy and looks

ukraine, first kurt, could you tell me what you worry most about that these two allies get together? >> kurt: i think sanctions e is one thing that they can help evade the sanctions and maybe get russia some of the spare parts and critical components that they need like microchips. that is something that i think is worrying. military support and less worried about because i think china is not gonna get dragged into this. >> steve: so far since last time we spoke we have the russians begging iran for drones and asking north korea for rockets. now he is seeing a confirmation of between 2000-3000 square miles back in ukrainian hands, they are on the offensive in every sense. can you bring me up to the battlefield? >> kurt: yeah, i was in ukraine last week and saw some of this firsthand. i think the ukrainians have good

people, great morale, they are defending their homelands and really motivated, good training and equipment from the u.s. and they are putting these long-range artillery systems to good use. the russians are just the opposite. if they are poorly motivated, they don't really want to fight in the ukraine the soldiers i'm talking about, they are for equipment, they lost about half of their conventional military capability in this war already. so, when the ukrainians were fighting in the south, the russians went there to defend and that opened up with the north and they just pushed out, took a significant chunk of territory, and that is going to be the pattern we see go ahead. ukraine gradually rolling back. >> brian: they haven't had much gain since april whenever one thought ukraine was dead and buried, and now we see a porch back in curacao on but there's only 400 miles there. will be easier in keer sans in the north to fortify? >> kurt: i think they'll be tough no question about it.

confident along with the queens children as it makes the 40 minute journey from here to westminster. that is where the queen will lie in state until her funeral. the hearse showed up here last night and it was greeted by enormous crowds. it is a hearse she designed together with jaguar and in keeping with her phrase i have to be seen to be believed, one she used a lot. it has large windows and it was illuminated so the many people lined the roads on the gloomy night last night could see her cough end. she was greeted by cheers and tears as she arrived at buckingham palace. her coffin will be taken by horse drawn gun carriage, parade in whitehall before arriving at westminster. the queen's coffin will bear her 3,000-joule crown with its 317-carat diamond, her scepter

with its 500-carat diamond atop it in her orb. according to one report this morning, she will ultimately be buried with simple and sentimental jewels. her wedding band and her earrings, some pearl earrings. here around london we are seeing very long lines form for the opportunity to see her lie in state. people are very almost cheerful about the occasion saying they don't mind the elements here one bit. >> she has an inspirational woman. she had that magic about her. at least to pay the respect to say my prayers that she has been an angel. >> amy: so much attention being paid to every single detail. of course, to the family

dynamic. largely at the center of that is prince harry, the duke of sussex, was issued a statement about what he will be wearing. he says he will wear a mourning suit throughout events honoring his grandmother. his decade of military service is not determined by the mode l mark uniform he wears and we asked the focus remains on the e and legacy of her majesty, queen elizabeth the second. and as we speak we are getting an announcement, an official announcement that the route along which the coffin will travel is completely full. no more people are allowed to approach that. they are asking all who want to watch this historic moment go to high park where there is a jumbo screen or to watch on a television somewhere because there is a big crowd control issue. i think, frankly, this was anticipated, however it is very moving and stra striking.
