5:02 am
and steve. around six: 45 this morning, two buses full of 101 total migrants mostly from venezuela arrived here. no one to meet them. since we have been out here with them, we have now seen a woman from a local church, a volunteer. she turned out here and says she is trying to organize some volunteer rides for these migrants. they were across the street. excuse me, sir, what is your name? here with an organization. what would you do with these migrants now? >> we try to help you them. >> to go to the next destination? >> yes, yes. >> were you aware that they may be showing up? >> what we have to identify where the people go. >> did you know they were coming? >> no. >> quickly grabbing that gentleman got enough to talk to us.
5:03 am
i grabbed him because that is the national organization that helps migrants. it has been showing up to the buses that have been showing up since march and april of this year here to d.c. nearly 8,000 total on more than 190 buses. right now, the migrants are across the street. we can give you an orientation. it crosses the naval observatory. that is where they got dropped off right at the entrance there. now they are on the side of the street waiting for these volunteer rides to show up. what is most telling about this group of mostly venezuelan migrants, i talked to one of them. a man brought his entire family from venezuela. he intends to ultimately try and give to see his aunt who lives in new york. i asked him about whether or not he agreed with vice president harris' comment that the border was closed. here's what he had to say, listen. speak on the border is open.

it is open, because we entered. we come in for free. >> it celibate for you to come illegally, right? yes. we see on the news that everybody coming illegally. so we also do the same. >> now, we have not had, guys, and a representative out from the mayor's office who as you know is very upset with texas governor abbott who is sending these classes here. abbott's office telling me that they certainly are sending it specifically to harris because of our comments on the sunday shows that the border was a year. he wants to show her that it is not. because she won't come and see the border first end. we also know obviously, new york, we are seeing eric adams very upset. he has a tour he will take of an asylum center there in new york later today. this story very much still

playing out in new york, d.c., as well as chicago that has received about 300 total migrants on about five or six buses so far. >> brian: is pretty clear, they still don't know where they are going. we don't know where they are going. they are just saying, correct? >> that's right. right now, we know they are staying. it's interesting. you can see on some of their paperwork. i will sell you. [speaking non-english language] destination. okay, my translation there is not as strong. most of them have documents that have a phone number of where they are going. these migrants were processed and they were brought into custody on the border before they were put on that bus. most of these i have talked to want to go to new york it appears. >> brian: it is ironic that
5:06 am
they had 6:45 this morning, the two buses drop them off across the street right essentially at the doorstep of the vice president's house. now they have made them apparently secret service has made them move across the street for security reasons to keep them away from the vice president's house even though the vice president says our border is secure. so there is some irony with that security thing. >> a little bit. although, let me say it wasn't necessarily the secret service, steve, that push them across the street. they were letting them stay on the grassy area over there. it was the volunteer woman that came from the church, a woman named claudia. i may see if i can find here that is that the migrants across the street because they are going to try and organize some volunteer vehicles to come and get these people. although we haven't seen any vehicles show up just yet. not seeing anyone in the church
5:07 am
here. it wasn't the secret service that moved over there so much as the local volunteer woman led them across the street because they figured it would be a better place to pick them up. >> right here to new york city where we understand mayor adams who has been very vociferous in his protest about the illegal immigrants being dropped at port authority new york city. he is touring the asylum center -- excuse me -- asylum seeker resource center to see what kind of facilities i guess that the city has provided. maybe this is a bit of a show of showing that is overwhelmed. according to mayor adams, he is overwhelmed. >> steve: we were talking about this place a couple of days ago. this is a place that they are spending $6 million on is on the west side. it is just a couple blocks from where we are sitting right now. it is either part of the red cross or the salvation army. as you can see right there, the mayor is taking a look because as the migrants arrived via bus

5:09 am
we are down on residents. it looks as though we are in their bed. while we cut the budget, we are writing a $6 million check for a final center for immigrants. there is 7 million plus total let alone the ones that have dropped off my bus. >> ainsley: the mayor is saying this is he is at its breaking point. they expect thousands more. and if the breaking point when texas and 2200, you said there were some may be 7,000 they came on their own wares and by the by the administration on the secret flight. >> brian: people say i can make my way here. >> ainsley: we haven't even reached 10,000 here in new york city. that is how many can come across the border in texas in just two days. they say about 5,000 every day. >> brian: this is the reason why texas is sending people across the country. in the last week, 1,000 migrants into the el paso area have been released. and they are right out on the street.
5:10 am
and there's no place for them to go. administration is letting them in. once they process the people, now, where do i go? many of them are sleeping on the street. no toilets, no showers. we don't know if they have tables bulletin issues down there and other things. many are being dropped off near the bus stations. they are being left to fend for themselves. listen to some of the people who live in el paso. how they feel about what's going on in their city. >> the only solution is to close the border. that is where we started. we start to asking people not to come. and not only for our safety, health safety and security of our american citizens, but also for their safety. they have a treacherous journey up here. >> once we develop our security in one area, we are completely overwhelmed here in el paso to be able to comparative resources that we have. >> at the democrats really cared

to vice president harris' home residence here because of her comments that the border was secure. this is his reaction. what you make of that? >> this is very sad, because we are making a humanitarian crisis political. and a lot of time and resources are being spent in eliminating the chaos that the politics of it is creating. >> thank you very much. that is what is happening here. we will keep you posted and continue to stand here and follow this as it unfolds. send it back to you. >> unaccompanied males. i thought they were going to be turned around, title 42. the kids go to churches and will eventually be in school supported by taxpayer dollars. it will be able to serve anyone here that doesn't have a place to go when house them. what other country does this to the tune of 4 million people? speak to the rail companies and the unions came to a tentative agreement this morning because we were worried that amtrak was going to shut down tomorrow.
5:14 am
>> steve: the agreement could prevent a strike that would cost an estimated $2 billion per day. driving inflation even higher. our sister network fox business is live inside a rail yard in philadelphia where they have discontinued some of the long distance amtrak trains, because a lot of those rails behind you are owned by the companies that might have gone on strike tomorrow. >> they didn't want to get stranded, steve. a lot of the rail lines have been shut down for amtrak, particularly the long haul ones. but that is not the only preparations that have been taken place. you see behind me a huge string of trucks lined up. a lot more truck activity as shippers switched off from trucks or from rails to trucks because of fears about it. if we spin around back here, maybe you see a csx train that was in jeopardy of not moving.
5:15 am
it is now moving as you see there. and we do have some indication this morning, some reporting on what broke the logjam on this strike. apparently according to "the washington post" and ot others, and was the rail companies moving on the issue of time off. a little more time off, and apparently come in agreement to get people unpaid time off if they needed to attend to medical conditions. that is something that the workers were holding out for. this was never about money. the rail companies have been pretty successfully making a lot of money. they were willing to share the wealth. the problem is, they didn't have enough workers, and they needed people to work long hours. speaking of which, if you spin around one more time, we don't realize how much of the rails impact us. that is a rail car there that is transporting oil. 300,000 by the way --
5:16 am
300,000 barrels a day of the oil go by rail. we don't have enough, you know, enough pipelines to transport all the oil. this would have all stopped if that happened. an apparent solution to this strike. although, one of those unions yesterday to the tentative agreement turned it down. and still has to go to the rank and file. we will see if they approve it. they didn't agree to some that wouldn't be approved. the rails are running today. good news. >> steve: it sounds like there was some arm-twisting in d.c. thank you very much. >> brian: time to break out those menus for first class to see if you want a fruit cup or opening. the two it was really about transporting all the auto industry parts. we don't want the auto industry to go through another prices. >> it's hard to put a car together. >> steve: 53 days away from the elections, the democrats don't want to take out the vote on whether or not they vote for or against --
