governors, remember, these are century cities, they tell us. right. yesterday, florida governor ron desantis sent 50 migrants to martha's vineyard where they've declared a crisis. just over 50 migrants. their arrival has triggered a wave of backlash from the left. many are condemning the move as political and inhumane. here is white house press secretary karine jean-pierre. speak of the migrants, including children, who arrived in martha's vineyard, were misled about where they were being taken, and what would be provided when they arrived. it's also deeply alarming. the children governor abbott abandoned in martha's vineyard, the children that governor desantis abandoned, as well, they deserve better. they deserve better than being

likewise, visiting martha's vineyard, calling this humanitarian crisis. and you have these numbers, which are startling. just 50 migrants since martha's vineyard, population 17,000. del rio, 35,584 migrant encounters, migrants crossing the border, 49,563. reverse that, you can see there is more migrants who are arriving in del rio than there are population. but martha's vineyard, causing quite a stir. in the white house meeting today to discuss litigation, potential kidnapping charges is what governor gavin newsom is saying. that's crazy. >> emily: that's what would make this so laughable if it wasn't a tragedy. her calling this "deeply troubling" going to martha's vineyard connect sorry, getting lattes and lobster rolls? what about all the migrants sleeping in their own feces in el paso which is called apocalyptic? which i can't even say, but i
9:04 am
know what it is, absolutely vile. another word used to describe the environment of the throng to border towns as opposed martha's vineyard. governor gavin newsom, this is also laughable. first of all, "the new york times" is reporting on their own that they were fully briefed of where they were going. the notion, he suggested using rico for this? that's what you prosecute cartels and the mafia with. he talked about it being a fraudulent scheme? this is so below the position of a governor. this just belies his incompetence rather than what he deemed his legal prowess. as a native californian, just recently the attorney general released the criminal statistics for that state. so when he's talking about criminal charges, the fact that the homicide rate in california has fight while the interest rate has gone down, i suggest you focus on his own citizens first. >> emily: he certainly should. meanwhile you have that explosive "new york post" cover, we all remember it, about the biden overnight flights.
9:05 am
this has been happening for more than a year, that everyone's ignoring it. kennedy, nbc reporting, this is really interesting. the white house has recently hosted a series of high-level meetings on immigration where dhs officials have presented options including flying migrants to the country's northern border with canada to alleviate overcrowding at the u.s.-mexico border. this is according to two u.s. officials. some officials have openly expressed frustration at these meetings with white house reluctance to take a page from their public and governors. so you have biden's own dhs saying, "let's do it the republican governors are doing," and then the biden demonstration having reticence despite already doing that with the secret flights. >> l>> kennedy: if your welcomig people, you should be happy they are landing in your backyard. if you have signed saying all are welcome, if you're governor of a century state, the only outrage should be that the governors of texas and florida didn't send the migrants to your home. that's the only thing it can,
9:06 am
gavin newsom, if he's going to exhibit any logical consistency, that's the only thing he should be saying. but the fact that people in martha's vineyard are apoplectic and falling all over themselves because of 50 people who have been displaced from their homes for whatever reason, it just goes to show, their reaction, they are disgusted by this. they are not welcoming these people. otherwise i'm sure there are 50 mansion own eyes on martha's vineyard who could throw their doors open and find these people a nice place to sleep, a lovely warm meal while they help them plan out their major life goals. but they're not doing that. they are freaking out and talking about ceiling. this is a perfectly symbiotic relationship. you have sanctuary cities and states that welcome migrants, and you have other states that are overrun that can no longer take care of them. so they are passing them off to these other places, they are fulfilling their wishes. why aren't they delighted? >> kayleigh: exactly, they should be. also important to emphasize, bubill melugin's reporting.

he said that a local ngo has said they are signing waivers, and in addition to that, bill melugin saying the democrat-led city of el paso, texas, has been sending its own buses of migrants -- this is a democrat-led city, of course, they approved contracts are buses and they are requesting the investment. el paso is not being criticized. while everyone is blaming abbott and ignoring the democrat city of el paso, the truth is it is because of biden that there are migrants dying at the board and double the numbers. it's because of biden that fentanyl is pouring across the board and getting into the mo mouths of our youth. it's not because of governor abbott. >> lisa: i find the busting of these migrants to sanctuary cities and what governor newsom has said hilarious. they having to address the fact that there is a crisis and an invasion happening on the

southern border. it didn't matter when millions of people are coming over and invading the country, but god forbid you sent 50 people to the liberal and rich martha's vineyard, and everyone is losing their minds here. looking back, gavin newsom saying this is kidnapping, but it wasn't kidnapping when they talk about biden putting them on planes and sending them to florida, or when lori lightfoot put them on a bus and sent them over to a neighboring neighborhood. two things that are being missed, the money from the reallocation, at least to martha's vineyard, came from the interest collected from the biden bucks from covid. the funding going to the states. secondly, democrats approved this in the budget, so all of these florida democrats that are criticizing desantis right now, they approved it. they approved what they are condemning now. just two things people are missing. i think it's hilarious. also the memes on twitter are amazing. >> kayleigh: and took his monologue was amazing. dr. siegel, finally, fentanyl plaguing our nation's young
