accusing the officials in nato countries of speaking about using weapons of mass destruction against russia. but the nato officials say they have not threatened russia with nuclear weapons. >> brian: what's pretty astounding is some of their supporters allowed to be on the air or use forums like telegram has been supportive of the war and there to make sure the public was in support are beginning to question the tactics and the effort and whether the russians can win or not. this emerged over the weekend. and for the president, if he says search drafted, that would just blow up in his face. even think 300,000. i'm going to need the reserves back in uniform. that shows a degree of panic. remember, he hasn't declared a war. he calls it a special operation. really? by the way, what about the body bags coming back by the tens of thousands and by the way, what about the fact that your men are dropping their uniforms and running away in civilian clothes and leaving weaponry behind? you think we are giving them a lot of weapons in the russians are leaving them behind.

charter a plane. beware. here's the thing. this story, regarding the migrants now ties from it with our first story which was about russia. we are talking about communism. because now, listen, the number -- the reason the number of migrants are so high is because suddenly we have these people fleeing communism. that sounds pretty good. numbers don't quite match what the president is about. listen to this new line we have got let them in because if they go back to the communist country somebody is going to kill them. here's the president. >> on the border, why is the border more overwhelmed under your watch, mr. president? >> because there are three countries that are never have -- there are few -- there are fewer immigrants coming from central america and from mexico. this is a totally different circumstance. what's on my watch now is venezuela, cuba, and nicaragua. and the ability to send them back to those states is not rational.

economics, pertaining to this inflation. i think as long as we stay on those topics, are we will maintain the lead. if not gain more momentum on our side. but i would on our side. >> steve: three seats have shifted away from the g.o.p. since august. part of the reason, i imagine, stacey, is the mar-a-lago raid as well as the dobbs decision. >> you know, brian, i think it's interesting because there is some polling done by -- this summer. and it talks about the toxic issues facing americans, inflation, poor leadership, economy, guns, gun control and crime. and immigration. abortion is not in that sack. so, we have to see the republicans focus on the message. what's hurting americans and their pocketbooks. what's happening in their neighborhoods, which is crime. all of these things attributable to the democrats they have to stay on message. >> brian: kind of interesting

because the republicans come to a deal legislation led by senator cornyn almost taking that off the table because joe biden can't brag about it at the same time say it's a problem, daniel. right now if you are the republicans. here we are late september. what would you sprint towards and what are you concerned about? >> well, brian, you know, the polls are fluctuating, of course, right? this point while voters are tuning in now from now until november. and this is -- it's going to be important for republicans to focus on the high cost of everything that has been induced. >> brian: inflation? >> inflation, super spreaders. policies that the biden administration has put forth and has been green lighted by a lot of these incumbents on the democrat side. so, they are on the defense on their. but that's where the republicans can take the offense and, of course, connect the dots to exactly who are the folks who voted for these bills? >> steve: daniel, what do you think about immigration now.

i thought it was a huge interest as an american with midterms aside. now with desantis and abdomen doing what they're doing, everybody is talking about it, it's not a good story, it seems, for president biden. am i right? >> it is not a good story for biden because there is a sense of a loss of control at the border. we no longer aring inning the border. it is now an open flow. and, unfortunately, for biden, and the democrat candidates, latinos want a balance. they want legal channels, of course. >> brian: of course. about. >> but they want security at the border and they are infuriated what's happening at the border at this point. >> brian: southern hispanics are more apt to vote republican than the ones from the north almost counter intuitive. talk about something else that is significant. now mitch mcconnell mr. down trodson more optimistic about taking back the senate. part of the reason is what is happening in georgia. suddenly we know that kemp is up by 8 over super star stacey

abrams. herschel walker on the eve of the debate surged over warnock 46, 44. janel, you know a lot about the walker campaign. are you surprised? >> you know, i'm not surprised. i figured that when -- once they nailed down a debate that that was going to happen because i think people want to see walker on stage. we have seen warnock on the stage. so i think the debate definitely helped. as you know my husband ran this race our wedding anniversary today so happy birthday anniversary, honey. we are connected to the race but not the candidate or the campaign. we understand that the conversation around this race is that we know that warnock has pushed so many policies and voted with president biden so many times and all of these policies have hurt, particularly the black community and people who he claims to be supporting. so, what i want to see walker do is go on that stage and debate not just policy and not just political issues, but social issues as well. >> brian: stacey, real quick on this race, does walker?
