let's begin with alexis mcadams live from eagle pass, texas. good morning. >> good morning. every day we see thousands of migrants crossing here in eagle pass, texas. now we standing at the epicenter now the busiest air area for border crossings in texas. this is why. take a live look now. we have a camera here in eagle pass, texas. caught up a short time ago with the latest large group coming in this morning. you are looking at 200 migrants and counting now being processed by border patrol agents in texas. sources tell fox new for the first time ever the del rio sector, that includes eagle pass, texas, is the busiest border crossing in texas. as of last week cbp sources say the del rio sector and the rio grande valley in the southern part of texas had just over 461,000. these are massive numbers that we're talking about.

also the fox drone team shows this large group here that you are looking at of 150 migrants that crossed the border just yesterday morning. it is hot here and the crisis shows no sign of slowing down. the group is wading through the water and walking into the streets of eagle pass, texas. not just people crossing on foot, rivers and land in texas, smugglers are also out in full force on highways. this video from texas department of public safety shows a traffic stop that led to the arrest of the driver and a dozen migrants. the driver told police he was moving freight pallets in del rio. when he opened the back of the truck he was arrested. watch. >> oh man, no good. put your hands behind your back for me. >> this happens daily as well with the smugglers across the highways and you see heavy patrols from the city and the

your response to how they are trying to deal with governor desantis in a legal sense. >> think about this. people came into this country illegally violating our laws. the first thing they do is get lawyers and use our laws to sue an elected governor and state. think about that. they just got here and not here legally. didn't enter the country the proper way and they demand rights and claims under our laws. in is outrageous. what other country in the world would even tolerate that? i think this is -- this is not immigration what we're seeing. this is mass migration. a very different thing. but to think about the fact that somebody just came here illegally and within a week they are in court and have lawyers representing them in court suing the american government whose laws they just violated? it's unbelievable. it is outrageous. it angers me and should anger everybody. >> dana: president biden got one question on this. let's watch here. >> why is the border more open under your watch?
6:06 am
>> there are fewer immigrants coming from central america and from mexico. it is a totally different circumstance. what's on my watch now is venezuela, cuba, and nicaragua. and the ability to send them back to those states is not rational. >> dana: could you speak to that, sir? >> there is no doubt those are communist countries. i'm glad he finally recognizes that and people in his administration and the president he served under tried the argue they weren't that bad anymore and tried to get closer to them. venezuela see the one sending people to meet with maduro and try to buy oil from the guy. it's from all over the world. there are literally people from over 100 different countries crossing the border. it is an industry. there are flights from turkey bringing people from turkey and the middle east into mexico and
