russia on the world stage after vladimir putin makes a nuclear threat against the west. >> ainsley: calls are growing for moscow to be stripped of u.n. security council veto power as anti-mobilization protests breaking out all across russia. >> brian: john mark karr can i heinrich joins us live outside the u.n., jacqui. >> good morning, brian, and ainsley. one thing interesting the administration said the president didn't need to change his speech very much after that news that russia was was making a nuclear threat and calling up troops they expected this from russia. the president did not in his remarks he called on world leaders to broadly condemn russia's irresponsible nuclear rhetoric and violations of the u.n. charter. >> about extinguishing ukraine's right to exist as a state. that should make your blood run

cold. >> biden also vowed not to let iran get a nuclear weapon but says he thinks diplomacy is the best way and he noted that china has built up its nuclear arsenal without any transparency but he mentioned taiwan only once. and this was in saying that the u.s. is still committed to the one china policy. very different tone from this past weekend when he said u.s. troops would defend taiwan from u.s. invasion. biden made sure to note that the u.s. doesn't want conflict or a cold war with china. biden also did not call to remove russia from the u.n. security council but he did express support for adding new members. part of the problem in removing russia from its seat is they have got veto authority. and changes to the u.n. structure are feared to possibly hurt u.n.'s ability to intervene in the future like with getting grain shipments out of ukraine and also managing nuclear risks with its watchdog group. ukrainian president volodymyr zelenskyy had other ideas. >> as the aggressor decision

making into the international organization. must be isolated from them at least until aggression less. reject the right to work. deprive tells rights. remove the right of veto. >> meantime in russia, protests are breaking out after putin called up those 300,000 reserve troops. the first mobilization of its kind since world war it. 2 followed the kremlin's sham refer da to incorporate a fifth of ukraine currently under russian control. 1300 russians arrested in protests so far. also reports that russian oligarchs are trying to recruit people for the war effort by going to penal colonies and asking prisoners to go fight in ukraine saying that they will be granted clemens after a six month tour and if they stew dessert they will be shot on sight. even those offers are having very little success. >> brian: rather stay in a torture camp than go to the

addition to the annexation of those lands, which, you know, he has got to do to justify to the people of russia, hey, this was a good idea. is and we talked about this starting yesterday, again. 300,000 people are going to be drafted into the service for russia. they could do in the millions but they don't want the russian people for the public opinion polls to turn against putin. you know, there's a great editorial today in the "new york post" where they talk about how, you know, at the united nations yesterday, joe biden started out okay. because he was talking about ukraine and he was taking aim at putin and it was putin's fault and the world should condemn that then, after that, he took a turn toward, you know, his agenda and suddenly he is talking about climate change. there are 675 million people living in poverty around the world. and for the president of the united states to be talking

about climate change rather than trying to figure out a way to feed them. >> brian: what a joke. >> steve: he was talking about how inflation reduction act was going to reduce inflation even though the facts are it really, ainsley, doesn't reduce inflation. that's why it is hilariously named that. >> ainsley: what would reduce inflation is not spending as much into the climate change issue. he has pledged to spend $369 billion on climate change. meanwhile, his own country is facing 8.3% inflation. higher interest rates now. it's going to affect the job market. so, you know, the focus is not on the right things here. and you can see the front page of the "new york post" this morning. steve, i know you don't have it down there. but it says vlad omen. all these police officers are dragging him out. they're forcing people to go to war and fight. they have inside t mentioned tht

bedrooms he snores like every other man in america. he wakes up and goes to work on saturday morning september the 10th. doesn't see her but car is still in the driveway. by the next day, it's all over. i find that text very alarming because it seems staged. they are not -- you are in the middle of getting killed. they are not going to let me go. the key to the house is under the flower pot. love you. why would you put that odd detail in the text? number one, i would be tracking her cell phone, it wasn't with her. she left only with her driver's license and debit card. tracking her cell phone and everybody she knows to see if cell phones were traveling together. that blue tarp that was partially burned is a plethora of evidence very likely there are going to be prints on that. and somebody tried to burn it. i think that was a secondary or tertiary crime scene. i don't think she was killed down that ravine where her rental car was spotted. i think she was killed elsewhere

transported in that tarp. i would be on lowe's home depot walmart to find all video who bought a tarp, processing the home and the tarp. who would take time to try and burn her body down a ravine but then not finish and leave her intact with only her abdomen charred. very important. police have stated sheriffs that they do not suspect kidnap or suicide. does that mean she was killed in the home? and she was never taken forcibly from the home? those are my thoughts. >> nancy, she had a rental car. i mean, you think rental car you're on vacation. she was using a rental car at her house. any word on why that -- maybe it doesn't have anything to do with it. that's bizarre interesting. i thought the very same thing. why was she in a rntle car? i think her car had been in a vendor bender so she had this rental.

certainly truth when it comes to this dallas suburb. yesterday the city of rockwall raised a an 8 on 190-foot flag pole. mayor kevin fowler made this process dream reality. he joins us now. mr. mayor, this idea of a huge flag on this beautiful small town started in 2016. tell us how. >> it did. it started in 2016. we had a council member mini daniels who had this dream of having a giant 50 by 80-foot american flag put up in one of the highest points in our city right by the interstate as people came into our city, it could just project how patriotic our county and our town is. so that was really the genesis of the idea. also pretty cool you gave us video how it came

together to get that huge flag pole. what was watching that process like? >> it was -- it was really cool. i mean, they bring out this giant flag pole. they had it laid down on the ground and citizens see it. they really don't know what it is. so there was a lot of speculation in the town whether it was going to be a window turbine. was it going to be a new cell tower? but it wasn't. it was this majestic glorious flag pole that finally went up on monday. >> brian: is this a part of the reaction to people questioning their patriotism of late? is that you guys in your town saying not here? >> rockwall doesn't question patriotism but we certainly display it. it wasn't in response to a question. but it was in more of a response to we want to show how patriotic we are. rockwall is the smallest county in texas. but i promise you, we are the biggest bunch of patriots you will ever see. >> brian: a lot of veterans? >> a lot of veterans. we have a very active veteran
