of what's going on. pete: it's always stacked against republicans no doubt. glen youngkin talked about a silent thief and many parents talked about their children's education. we had parents on the show and their son is an eleventh grader at bellevue high school outside of seattle in washington. he signed up to take a u.s. history course. that's what it said when looking through the syllabus and different options, u.s. history. when he went into the course, he saw something very, very different. got this syllabus for the class. it was about basically decolonizing u.s. history. the book in the bottom, is the core textbook for the class, which is u.s. history written from the soviet perspective. it's a marxist view and hate america view and every aspect of the syllabus is why america is such a bad country. that's not the u.s. history course this kid thought he signed up for.

parents found out and we asked them about it. take a listen. >> the way that the -- on the course was represented was just ordinary u.s. history. the second week of school our son brought home a flier and it's a flier that you showed there saying de-colonizing u.s. history and the first paragraph says we're grateful to stand on the land of indian land and white guy stealing the land from the indians. >> it's exhausting to be a parent and baby sit what's going on in the classroom. i guess calvin and i are going to be history teachers. pete: maybe they should be. i'll note they tried to get the school to allow them to switch the courses for their kid. the district refused. no, he's stuck in this class. rachel: this is what seattle's like. i have family members that live in seattle who are moderately conservative. they just keep their mouth shut. if you don't like this, i mean, there's nothing you can do. seattle is probably one of the worst places for this. but yet interesting, we've been talking about this for a long time on this show and, pete,

to expose misconceptions, democrats are putting forward on abortion, we'll start with senator graham's bill, which does i in fact include exceptios for rape, incest, and physical danger specifically for minors subject to their harms. >> reporter: there's a debate between republicans and democrats on the issue of abortion and a debate amon republicans about does it allow it to return to the states or do you have a federal ban. lindsey graham has weighed in with his view he'd like a federal ban at 15 weeks. what the left is doing is mis-characterizing it and you can't have a debate because they said it doesn't include all these when it does. we're trying to set the record straight before we go into all the aspects of the actual debate. will: that's the point of all the wall, a reality check. no one was more in line and deserving of a reality check this week than failed gubernatorial candidate of

the crisis regularity centers that are a center of a lot of misinformation over the past since dobbs. pete: planned parenthood going back to them characterizes cries izescrisis pregnancy centers as shady and have harmful agendas. alongside the rhetoric from the left, there's dozens of attacks on crisis pregnancy centers. what did they actually do? they provide counseling and information. i think we're going this way. here we go. we're still learning. guidance to mothers and families. if you're a young mother in a vulnerable situation and families who is pregnant, the idea of a crisis pregnancy center is abortion is not your only option, will. we want to help you care for that life. will: yeah and because of these misconceptions about crisis pregnancy centers, there's been a lot of negative attention focused, source of protests and so forth. it's always worth setting the record straight. how about this, where does the united states stand? we've talked about this. where does the united states stand when it comes to abortion

law? how draconian and restrictive is the united states as compared to like europe. here are examples, in europe where abortion is banned in ireland after 12 weeks of pregnancy. lindsey graham's bill would not ban but make it hard to access abortion exception in the cases of rape, incest, and so forth after 15 weeks of pregnancy. pete: democrats are always looking at europe and saying look how forward thinking they are on issue x, y, or z. will, you mentioned germany 12 weeks after conception. by the way, it's punishable abortion up to three years in prison in germany as well. italy banned after 90 days of gestation. the reality check, and that's what this is, is a 15 week ban with exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother is not extreme at all by international standards. if anything, it goes even further than our european friends. will: that's right. there's a reality check. there will be a lot of heated rhetoric and misinformation about this issue as we head into

congresswoman miller-meeks. i'll start with you congressman. what is this about? the pandemic is over and they should be getting back to work. and voting in person. >> i agree and so one of the tenants of our commitment to america is to make sure that on the first day, the new rules if the republicans take over control of the houses that we eliminate proxy voting and we make sure all congressmen and women are there to vote in person so i was very happy to be with our leader yesterday in washington county, pennsylvania, as we unveiled our commitment to america and that's one of the tenants of our commitment to america. rachel: congresswoman miller-meeks, is this really about giving members of congress more time to campaign in their districts? is that really what nancy is trying to do here? the democrats need to do some more campaigning. they're in trouble. >> well, let's be honest, proxy voting was put in place so members didn't travel and expose others to covid-19 if they were covid-19 positive. there's only one person that can

lift the public health emergency and that's president biden and president biden said the pandemic is over. i would tend to agree with him. we still are functioning with it but to have proxy voting continue as you know last week, there was almost a vote that the republicans took because they didn't have members of their own party in. you know, members of congress, my colleagues are abusing this practice. some have voted as far away as france while on vacation. this is all about making sure they have members to vote for the next week and while they're campaigning in their district. rachel: yeah, that's disgusting. voting from france because of covid. you should be in the chamber. great stuff. talk about the republican commitment to america plan. congressman, what do you say is the top issue? i know you've laid out the republicans have laid out a lot of things but what's the main focus here? >> well, there's two things. first of all on the first day if we take control of congress, the

federal government should be working for the people and not going after the people. our leaders made a commitment the first thing we'll do is eliminate the 87,000 irs agents coming after you and me and everybody else in the country but really the topic number within on american's minds is inflation and that's the main topic we're going to be battling. we are going to lower inflation by stopping the out of control spending that the democrats and the biden administration are doing and contributing to the inflation. we're going to increase the level of better paying jobs. you know, across the country. we're going to also look at how we can lower energy costs by unleashing american energy. there's absolutely no reason to be dependent on foreign oil and the biden administration continues to wage war against the american energy industry. that's the most important aspect of this plan. rachel: congresswoman nancy

pelosi is calling this plan extremist. what say you? >> i would say the extreme is that there is no plan by the democrats. they have no plan. their policies created tremendous harm to the american people. rising crime and people don't feel they can trust their government and their government is not accountable and our plan and commitment to america is an economy that is strong, a nation that is safe. a future that is build on freedom and also a government that's accountable so we're going to be looking at things, a parent's bill of right, healthcare that's affordable but not controlled by bureaucrats but controlled by you and your doctor. making sure that we have the right amount of law enforcement locally that can reduce the up rise in crime and up tick in crime due to disastrous democrat policies. we have a plan, they have no plan and what they have done over the past 20 months that has created great harm to the american people and crisis all

of the badge is not there to be shared with students but rather provided to adults by the nea should that be interested in learning more about lgbtq+ issues and supporting lgbtq+ students. any teacher that chooses to wear one of the badges clearly understoods resources were intended for adults but not students. one resource links to teen health sources promising to power youth and a how to guide for performing sexual activities. what do you make of it >> i? >> i think the left has gone completely insane. i don't understand how it seems like every solution that they want to offer is based around sex. oh, if you have a mental health issue, if you're an lgbtq child, like why do we even know your sexual preference, why are we even talking about that, but their solution seems to be these

radical sexual extremism. i think the left has become the party of that. they've become the party of radical sexual extremism and our children are right in their cross hairs. pete: for sure. it seems to be younger and younger and once was sex ed and now it's the youngest of ages and most complex of sexual topics. >> oh, it's just so disturbing. keisha and carol are completely right and we're hypersexualizing things and i've been studying this for two years and behind me is a pile of books that i've gotten. one of them is taking the idea of the wheels on the bus and now turning it into a drag queen story hour. how did we get here? we talked about feeling this morning. we're now stealing children's souls. this is a book that some people might now, not my idea. a book about whiteness. this is the race issue.

protecting our kids. we appreciate it. >> thank you. pete: you got it. all right, i'm going to toss over to will who's got headlines. will: we begin with this, new developments in the mysterious death of a georgia woman whose body was found burned in the woods last week. police log shows her daughter's home was searched shortly after she disappeared and was reporting missing and reported sending money and cryptic message through v venmo. her husband said she was a beautiful person and the neighbor of the couple was vouching for him and saying he'd bet his life on their innocence. police are still investigating. inflation hitting senior living homes and putting a major strain on families across america. that's according to "the wall street journal". many elder care facilities are raising prices and adding new fees as providers pay more for food, utilities, wages and supplies. monthly fees rising by as much as 12% so far this year.

pumpkin. rachel: this is cow therapy. why do people need cow therapy? >> yeah, so cows have a lower heart rate than humans so it's naturally relaxing to cuddle with them and spend time with them so when you cuddle with a cow, your brain releasing oxytocin and just makes you feel a heavy sense of bond and love with the cow. rachel: how do you cuddle with a cow? is there a technique? >> yeah, big spoon little spoon. >> i prefer like crisscross apple sauce. they're a little overstimulated now but they'll lay down in your lap. >> i do this a lot. rachel: is your heart rate coming down too? pete: so nice. rachel: he's licking me. what happened? pete: this is a nice cuddle. which one is this? >> paula. pete: will, this is paula. will: it's paula? rachel: you get pumpkin.

teeth touched. rachel: what do people, when people go through the therapy, what do they report to you and what do they say and who's a good candidate for cow therapy? >> anyone is a good candidate. people if they have younger children, i usually have them just hold them cause the cows can get kind of scary to a little kid and usually people are just so excited because it's kind of unusual to see cows this young and they're only a month old so it's just a great opportunity. will: they're a month old. wow. pete: they are babies. >> are they rescue cows? >> yeah f a veal auction. pete: from a veal auction. >> man, this just got dark. >> i know. will: go to rosebridgefarmsanctuary.com. rachel: thank you for the cuddles. will: thank you, paula. rachel: one more big hour.
