see the situation for myself. and spoke to mother who just lost her son two weeks ago to gun violence. watch. >> i still think it's a dream. i don't know how i'm coping with it. because -- i'm not crying -- it just hurt all over my body. just hurting -- it is not a crime. it is a hurting -- don't have no air. it's like your body just shuts down. nobody don't want to because i'm the not crying. i'm hurting i'm waiting on my son to call me and go by his house and it is unbelievable that he's with the reason he's dead -- from it don't make no sense -- out here with nobody. their parents, dad not in their lives it is just out here. lawrence: take me back to the day where you got the news two weeks ago that you lost your son.

>> i see where i can get into the ambulance -- no you get into the vehicle -- because of corona i ran back to the car followed down -- and i got there -- five minutes later, call me told me my child was dead. lawrence: there was once a point in history where you did something, you pay for your crime. and that gave you the opportunity to change your life around. and go back in society and you didn't want to go back to that place. but right now seems like -- these young people aren't paying for what they do. les they don't value life. >> their situation there which you just say is leak, if they do pay for it what they learning and the justice, criminal justice. ing right now, i did is 12 years they don't have nothing for us to do and nothing to offer us. first of all, schooling is a game.

the other 65 of them the kids were 17 on down. >> when you go to these funerals and you grieve with these families, and they're asking for justice for their kids, are any of the city council elected officials there at these funerals? no. >> some of them have come to a funeral when it is somebody close to them. but as everybody else therm at the last week funeral it was at a lot of funerals. you know. so -- my personal opinion is that in the way i feel if they have a plan and if they was going to do something she would have been doing it and done by now. they shouldn't have taken -- >> there's no plan. they act like they have one. i mean, that's what government is there for. >> police officers are leaving force too. i have a -- i mean we have a record shortage right now with officers as well.

need to step up but they won't. joining me now is lifelong new orleans resident and fox news contributor raymond also recent new orleans transplant fox nation host tyrus thank you so much for joining me tonight. ray monday i put numbers up on the screen. you were one of the first people to alert me of this i noticed that the city was different two months ago what do you think it will tyke change this city? >> lawrence look this has been generation of neglect okay but the current administration la toya administration they were asleep at the wheel. we've lost 900 police officers. you mentioned it in your piece. when you have that kind of -- attrition of your law enforcement, and you have a d.a. who refuses to prosecute these cases and you have a sheriff who is a back sheriff suzanne hudson refuses to expand jail capacity. she just laid off venerable

officers with really experience when you see that confluence of events, what you have is a breakdown in law and order, and you've turned a great american city into a sanctuary city for criminality. we are suffering here, and i'm so glad you brought up the black families that are suffering. because we're majority black city lawrence, and it is those families suffering most so when people talk about racial equality, we need to provide relief to our black brothers and sisters in the streets of new orleans. they are the first vicinities of this kind of violence and neglect of law enforcement. >> tyrus i used to host specials for the channel for new years there. >> new years eve in lawrence. >> used to be mardi gras it was rich culture there and people don't want to roam streets at a certain time of night now. >> yeah you know i'm doing a live show november 4th, and you know one of the problems we're

a 13-year-old and he was in court pep and the mayor showed up as a character witness. and he got three years suspended sentence but literally entire courtroom was sitting there and it look like bad guys were the victims. this young man wasn't out joy riding in a car give hail slap on the wrist and community service. but when you are threatening lives i will shoot you if you don't give me your things that young man needs to go away and take some heart life lessons other side of that when he does go away there needs to be more than him coming away to university of criminality. it is flawed and i damn sure don't want to see dangerous brothers in the street or anyone for that matter. >> right. mayor needs to step up. i could sign a petition all of that stuff. but she's in a position to make change. and it starts with the justice -- just admitting there's a problem. lawrence: tyrus you're so spot

after a political argument because the teen was reportedly republican. police said he fled the scene. but is now out on bail after serving a few short days in jail. and get this, he says he doesn't want his own life or job jeopardized. this is crazy. fox news contributor sarah carter here to break this down you have yo a grown man i almost said a grown ass man arguing with a young man right then you mow them down. then you leave the scene. i mean there's so much that is wrong for this -- with this sarah. take it away. >> oh. well lawrence, i mean it's actually stunning and it is horrific if you think about it. this man also admitted to be drinking before he mowed down this 18-year-old, young man mowed down in his suv-horrific he was alive when they put him in the ambulance and taking him to the hospital he, obviously, died at the hospital.

the man fled the scene his name was shannon brangt right he was 41 years old fled the scene. we went home. police rifed at his home and basically he admitted he used his vehicle as a weapon to keel this young man he admitted that he was drinking, and then he made these allegations that this young man was a maga supporter some right wing extreme they's threatened him now police are saying now that they have no evidence of that whatsoever. but just the fact lawrence that he brought this up. that he used it as an execution i'm going to blame administration and everybody on this using and targeting -- people that supported president trump and calling them domestic terrorists. this type of rhetoric is extraordinarily dangerous to our nation we hear it. there isn't a place i don't go lawrence where people are saying gosh can i stand up for my student for my child at school? without being targeted by the

crisis. you may have seen headlines with undrinkable brown water but according to the people of jackson, the reality is a decades long issue that's long been ignored now the comuct is standing up following a lawsuit against the city they demand action and accountability from their elected leaders. i spoke with people of jackson this week -- take a look. describe what it's been like living here? >> i tell you it's been a little rough but you know -- the water situation, we had a little winter storm came by water down maybe two, three weeks i couldn't even open my business out here and we got water it was coming out brown not just here at my house, and at my residents house. my family's house and surrounding friends, neighbors all of us had brown water. >> when you say it was brown -- >> it's like -- a little lighter than a brown

crayon that's how brown it was. >> they expected you guys to drink, cook, bathe -- >> it's bathing for me no one is bathe you're trying to get clean now try to bathe in dirty water. it is horrible. lawrence: you have to drive 30 to 40 minutes to get a nice shower. >> nice shower and a decent meal unless you have -- afford to eat out every day. you know. lawrence: i'm curious some residents say they still smell -- the odor coming out. >> yeah there's a few streets up where those guys are still under boil water notice right now up from here they're under boil water three streets over -- that they're water still coming out brown in their sinks and it is bubbly like soap in it or something. i don't know what's going on. but they posted it and shared it. it is really horrible. i didn't experience the soapy part but i did experience the brown cloudy -- where like if you can put it in

>> you did a terrific job with this. this is a huge crisis in not just jackson but they relieved idea that you have yo to boil water on september 15th, and the water i don't believe is clean. i mean, you know, one of the people you interviewed said it still smells it could still have lead in it and contaminated with bacteria by the way before they relieved that boily water, people were told by the health department to close their mouth when they took shower. you think that actually protects you from anything. that is absolutely ridiculous. you already have in mississippi the lowest longevity in the country 74 years old, and infant mortality highest in the country. you add start adding lead to that, which i think is a big problem here. you start seeing more infant mortality problems with kidney problems with blood pressure, problems with heart, and, of course, problems with development and with the brain. and other thing you were alluding to is where's the federal government in all of this? the house of representatives is saying they're going give maybe

200 million dollars and bypass the state and go to jackson. but we need about a billion dollars probably to fix the pipes there and to start from scratch because other thing you brought out is long-term problem. by time it get to point where water isn't flowing properly you have bad rusty pipes that continue to bill people for this. they get billed for this waters. lawrence: that's right. doc interesting they think is since then they've said they thinks have improved but they can still smell the smell even though the water is not as dark. they said that in some cases that they see suds coming out of the water. i mean, you know -- you hear so much from the left about environmental justice. can we just get to the basics? can we get to having just clean water let's just start there before we have these big massive ideas about -- banning planes and banning cows. let's just get these people a decent amount of water so they

>> yeah. and i've had clients that found hidden cameras at airbnb and hotel room where is it was more difficult where there's a lot of people who have access to the room. or access to the -- to the apartment. it's very difficult to track those individuals down. but in this case there was only one individual that really had access so that -- that place of -- that -- apartment. and that apartment was only with this manager. owner was out of state so you couldn't really blame owner it is a mac it is a more difficult case when it is a hotel room where there's individuals who are cleaning there's a manager there and scary situation and anyone that find a camera should immediately find police if there's a bedroom, a bathroom, even in -- living room i would still call the police. have them come and examine the -- the film that's on there. sometimes the individual who is
