smuggling migrants at record numbers. lexis mcadams has the latest on the ground in eagle pass, texas. good afternoon alexis brick works we see this every single day the southern border. hundreds of walking across the border into the united states but many of them have no clue where they're going to go next they do not have a plan. once they are in the u.s. if they're willing to pay big money like thousands of dollars, there are new ways to smuggle them across the united states. just like this but what you're looking on your screen is a picture we just got an a little while ago from texas dps. this shows 19 migrants on this private plane in mcallen, texas for an investigator say three cars pulled up to the private airport and dropped off the migrants on friday. that is been a concerned citizen called 911 and the police showed up. the migrants were from central america. this is the second bus at a private airport in texas just in the past two weeks. humans are smuggled in, so are drugs but fox news has been showing it is how it's affecting

response that in the midterms. mike: us take a look at the fox news power rankings for the house of representatives. pursuant to seats is the magic number. our projections are 216 for republicans, 189 for democrats. with about 30 seats considered to be tulsa braces. josé, what is your read on the battle for the house majority? >> look i think first and foremost we have to recognize the party in power is a seat on the democrats going to lucy's? of course we are with the question is by how much? we look at the last three months since june we see the operation the economy continues to rise pretty gas prices continue to go down. we see biden and a victory lap. all the things trumps wanted to get done the infrastructure, veteran bills, gun reform, what have you. fighting is getting it done. democrats are in a very good place, out about controlling the house but we will be able to retain a majority of the sea.

think we can keep the senate but if you lose the house i don't tickle be by much. mike: jeremy he sang perhaps the republicans have a slim majority your thoughts on that? >> we've seen a lot of the talking points that josé puts it every party loses seats when they are in power. this is not normal. it might be true the majority party loses seats midterms. but what is not known about the effects everyday americans are feeling every day. the gas prices we are paying every week, that is not normal. you cannot normalize the inflation that is literally decades high over 40 years we can look back and by inflation at the level at that now. they've a president and administration have democrat party who said nothing about this entire time. that is why were not only going to see going to see a major change and not to secure our border but that's why think you're going to a lot of boats come come through for the republicans in midterms this year.

mike: tropical storm ian gaining strength and momentum as it moves toward the sun sign j large parts of florida gulf coast bracing for impact but fox weather max gorden is on the ground in fort myers beach with the latest. >> life is going on pretty much as usual today. the sun is out, things are looking good. but fort myers is not necessarily out of the woods even though the storm is tracking a little to the north. this area in particular, fort myers beach is particularly vulnerable to storm surge. even a category one hurricane according to noah can put this area under 9 feet of water buried state officials are saying now is a time to look up if you are in an evacuation zone. this threat of being inundate or cut off by floodwaters and to know what your route will be if you need to evacuate.

>> markets and leading indicator for the economy at large. as you put out the markets have been horrible. just the last two weeks the s&p 500 is down 10%. that is a major move. bonnet yields are at multi- decade highs. this almost guarantees a recession with a call the yield curve is inverted. it is no surprise why. he mentioned inflation the average american according to the study is paying about $717 extra a month because of inflation. it is $8600 a year. that is real money and that is with the vaccine the economy. mike: also get food inflation. butter up 26%. accept nearly 40%. milk up 17% great ice cream up 14% say it is not so. what is the reaction from investors? >> investors heard the words barely talk about the impact on consumers but the economy runs on investment for new capitol coming in for it not just stocks have been hit this year, bonds are having their worst year ever. the worst year for two bonds had been 3% lower they are down 14%.
