tv   Tucker Carlson Tonight  FOX News  September 30, 2022 10:00pm-11:00pm PDT

10:00 pm
this is one of the best rivalries in the game. how much pressure on dallas, dallas every year we're talking about zeke elliott, city land like a parsons. they have the pieces. there's a lot on the line for both these teams that was incredible. the nfl sunday on the box, photobooks super bowl. >> fifty seven is a fox news alert. hurricane ian made landfall again in south carolina. today. we'll continue to monitor that storm and its aftermath. we'll have live reports throughout the hour. but first, good evening and welcome to a special edition of tucker carlson. tonight, i'm will cain, in for tucker alinea airbase near finland. >> and it's the headquarters of russia's naval reconnaissance air division. now normally houses heavy bombers and cruise missiles. it's an important staging ground for russian military operations in ukraine on august
10:01 pm
twenty first, an israeli intelligence firm, isi, noticed something unusual at olenka air base. >> satellite imagery detected a , quote, unusual presence of forty one sixty russian strategic bombers there on sight. now, these are strategic supersonic bombers that are designed to carry nuclear weapons. >> you're seeing the satellite images from owling air base on your screen right now. then just days ago on september twenty fifth, israeli intelligence spotted three more russian strategic bombers at alinea. these were two ninety five turboprops. they're one of the oldest nuclear capable missile platforms in russia's arsenal. prior to august. the jerusalem post reports there were no strategic bombers at alinea. >> now, as of this week, there are at least seven . ukraine is now well within the range of both bombers. in related news, the deputy head of ukraine's intelligence just determined that there's a , quote, very high risk of
10:02 pm
imminent tactical nuclear strikes on ukraine. >> now, given all of this, every nato country now needs to answer a very basic question. how are you going to lower the temperature? how are you going to prevent global nuclear war? >> it's really the only question that matters. our leaders, though, have no answer, none whatsoever. instead of coming tensions, in fact, they seem to be deliberately provoking russia. today, joe biden once again accused vladimir putin of blowing up his own pipeline. >> you also asked me earlier about the pipeline and let me say this. it was a deliberate act of sabotage. and now the russians are pumping out disinformation and lies. and at the appropriate moment when things calm down, we're going to be sending divers down to find out exactly what happened. we don't know that yet, exactly. but we're not just don't listen to putin stand. >> what he's saying we know is not true, okay? don't listen to putin.
10:03 pm
>> should we then listen to joe biden instead? brewery, biden said this, quote, if russia invades, then there will no longer be a nord stream two. we will bring to an end. and then the state department, victoria nuland, she said the same thing. >> she said, quote, if russia invade ukraine one way or another, nord stream two will not move forward. >> now, what's interesting is those threats reveal who has incentive for nord stream two to come to an end. >> you see, the reason our leaders would make those threats is because nord stream helps putin. there's no reason for him to sacrifice his leverage over europe by destroying his own pipeline on the other hand , we all know who is capable of shutting down his own pipeline . that would be joe biden and the keystone xl pipeline. now, look, there are those, in all fairness, who say the following. they say this is russia's way, bombing their own pipeline of constricting supply so that
10:04 pm
they can jack up global oil and gas prices and then in turn make more money on existing contracts with india and china. >> but here's question. why blow up your own infrastructure? why not? you know, just turn off the tap? in fact, that's exactly what vladimir putin did just a few weeks ago. he shut down the nord stream two pipeline. there was no gas flowing through a pipeline, but now he's being accused of bombing and sabotaging in order to constrict the supply of oil and gas supply, of which none was flowing through nord stream to. now, to be clear, i don't know who is responsible for this. i'm just trying to logically follow incentive. and if the u.s. or its allies sabotaged russian pipelines, it wouldn't be the first time in nineteen eighty two ronald reagan authorize the cia to blow up a siberian natural gas pipeline using software. >> so we american citizens,
10:05 pm
before we march to a drum beat directly into global nuclear war are entitled to answers. you know who else is entitled to answers? climate activists. you'd think they'd take notice. you'd think they'd ask questions. why? because the nord stream two leak caused more than three hundred thousand metric tons of methane to enter the atmosphere. it sounds like a lot, right? here's how much, according to bloomberg, that's roughly, quote, the same climate impact over a 20 year period as the annual emissions from about five point four eight million us cars. but our leaders, even our green energy czar, they're hoping we ignore all of this. and if that's the plan, it just might work because there's so much going on . it's hard to keep track in what amounted to a crazy day that literally flew under the radar, flew under the weather radar and the news cycle. russia attempted to annex parts of ukraine and then in turn, the u.s. announced
10:06 pm
new sanctions on russia. >> we're announcing new sanctions today as well that including new authorities to sanction anyone who provides political or economic support to russia's far fraudulent territorial claims. and i've been in close touch with our nato allies who are united in our resolve to take on his aggression once more or less dare to ask a few critical questions. >> let's dare to critically think, why would more sanctions deter russia? the last seven months of sanctions have led to blackouts and food shortages in europe. meanwhile, in russia, the ruble got stronger. oh, by the way, our economy tanked. history has shown, in fact, that from japan to syria to russia, sanctions deter, they provoke. and maybe that's the goal. it's the only way to achieve regime change in russia, which is the stated goal of the biden administration. remember, putin cannot remain in power. >> joe biden's words last
10:07 pm
march, and he means it in april, russia and ukraine had a tentative agreement to end this war. ukraine could have kept its territory. all they had to do was promise not to become a nato member because nato wants to remove putin from power. >> but the biden administration and the uk vetoed that deal . so, again, critical question, is this really about keeping ukraine safe or is about regime change in russia, even if that means starting a world war today? >> if there was any doubt left ,the president of ukraine settled that question. he signed ukraine's quote, expedited application to formally join nato . it's yet another slick, well produced video from kyiv. watch enough to preach, but outcall, not niaspan
10:08 pm
on the handheld camera. if ukraine joins nato , that means world war under article five of the nato charter, millions instead of trying to avoid that catastrophe. our media, though, is telling that is essentially inevitable. the new yorker, for example, just published this assessment. quote, fiona hill, an expert on russia, says that we are already fighting in the third world war whether we want to acknowledge it or not, perhaps save for the whole nuclear holocaust over nbc. quote historian michael beschloss just compared putin's russia to nazi germany before the start of the second world war. why? because putin just announced that he's annexing territories into russia, ukrainian territories into russia. is that comparison fair? putin to hitler? nato thinks so. the foreign minister of poland just pledged that nato countries will use nuclear
10:09 pm
weapons against russia if russia's strategic bombers carry out a first strike. he said it doesn't even matter if ukraine is in nato or not. and in washington, you will not find a politician in either party who disagrees on that point. they all believe that defending ukraine is worth risking armageddon. of course, so does lindsey graham. he just also compared putin to hitler. >> i hope we will also send a very clear signal here that we're going to have more aid in the if we do an omnibus in december, which i hope we will defund the government that will have a robust package of military support, taking ukraine into twenty , twenty three . have we learned nothing from the last century? what should we have learned that when it comes to bullies and crazy people, who want to, you know, put the world under a thumb like hitler, we should believe what they say. >> we should stand up to them sooner rather than later. that was republican senator from south carolina, lindsey graham, standing right next to them.
Documents
10:10 pm
democratic senator from connecticut, richard blumenthal. why is virtually every politician, both parties, trying to provoke russia into using those bombers to help answer that question? >> colonel doug macgregor, a retired u.s. army colonel , and he joins us now. colonel . great to see you this evening. just a whirlwind whiplash of news today when it comes to russia and ukraine. what should we make of it? >> well, not quite what senator graham had to say, or for that matter, president biden. the destruction the pipeline was clearly not executed by russia. no one believes that. in fact, the german population has been polled overwhelmingly is opposed to the notion of any war with russia and dismisses out of hand the notion that the russians are responsible for a pipeline. i think three things are what we're dealing with right now. first of all, putin has decided that no one in washington will negotiate with him and he knows that washington is ultimately in control.
10:11 pm
and so he's decided that in response he's got to escalate the military operation. people aren't aware of it in the west, but the russian forces in ukraine have always been outnumbered from the day they entered ukraine. that's going to change rather dramatically. and i suspect the bombers that she referred to who carry both conventional or nuclear weapons will have conventional arms. and those bombers are probably going to be used in the escalation that we're about to witness in ukraine. and i think he's going to settle this dispute in ukraine on terms that are acceptable to russia that we may not like. but other than poland, no one in nato is interested in going to war with russia. if we persist on this line, we will see nato dis dissolve and fragment because they will assume you're saying they will not follow poland's lead, not stand together, as i assume that's what you're saying, colonel . >> of course. absolutely. no one wants to go to war with russia other than
10:12 pm
the poles and a few people in washington, dc. >> well, that will be the key that will be the key whether or not if the world will not follow the poland into war with russia will , in fact, the leaders of united states of america push the world into war with russia. >> colonel doug macgregor, always great to hear from you. thank you so much. sure. >> this is a fox news alert. hurricane ivan made landfall in the carolinas today. fox's molly line is in charleston, south carolina. >> molly, what are you seeing with the latest? good evening, will . well, the rain and the wind has tapered off. things have slowed down quite a lot here as and has moved further inland. but in charleston, in downtown charleston, we a chance to drive around. there were six inches, a foot of water in many of the streets down there. not something uncommon when there's a big storm . this is an area city that's used to that kind of flooding. and by the time around, six , seven o'clock, it had already begun to recede quite dramatically. there were a lot of people out on the streets checking for damage, picking up the palm fronds and the branches that
10:13 pm
had come down. there were quite a few power outages, though, still right now, there are tens of thousands of people without power. so they're working to get that on and keeping an eye on some of those big, gusty winds that still remain. but i spoke with more than one person that expressed the general sentiment that charleston, at least dodged a bullet with this storm . further to the north, though, from here to myrtle beach, the coastline really got pounded. one of the hardest hit spots is pawleys island. they were inundated with ocean water there in that area. there were some high water rescues, a midway fire department pulling out those high water rescue vehicles. and they even lost their pier, which was last seen floating away to the south, according the police department will . >> right. molly line, thank you so much. those details now, folks. >> weather hurricane specialist brian norcross joins us . brian , where is the storm now and where is it going? >> well. >> well, the storm is located in north carolina. now. take a look at it there. and i'm going to do a little meteorology with you here. you can see this line right
10:14 pm
here. so this storm system is called post tropical with top winds at 60 miles an hour, mostly over the ocean. >> and it's called post tropical because it's more like an inland nor'easter. >> now, it's morphed itself. >> so that line i was showing you, that's the line. it didn't draw that well. that line is between the cold air to the north and the tropical air to the south. >> and when cold air and tropical meat, we end up with a lot of rain and we still have a wind. so look at the rain again. it's north of that line. that's where that tropical moisture is running up over that colder air. >> and this is going to be very heavy rain in some spots. and they have flood alerts out. and i mean, it's a kind of a big deal , of course, across that part of the country here as the wind situation. >> so by tomorrow morning, 40 mile an hour winds here moving out of north carolina and then the storm dies out by saturday night. in terms of the wind, ignore all the colors here. just think of all these areas under a wind alert.
10:15 pm
it's because of the tropical, non-tropical characteristics of the storm. >> and then we talk about the rain. so here's the rain and you see where the purple areas are, five to eight inches over hilly country. that's a lot of rain and that causes flooding. so here's the deal in the yellow area there. that's what the national weather service is saying. has that very likely potential for flash flooding? >> that's tonight into tomorrow. so from charlotte, to columbia over to norfolk and raleigh, be on the lookout for that possibility. >> it's a dangerous night to be out. everybody really should stay in then take a look at the rest of the weekend. so here's that big band that we were talking about coming in with strong cells, heavy, heavy rain tonight. and we go through tonight and into tomorrow. >> and it all just sort of slowly peters out, but it spreads north, ruins the weekend up and down the i-95 corridor. then finally, just dies out this weekend. >> all right, guys, let's get back to you.
10:16 pm
all right, brian , it's great information for anyone living in the carolinas and then the eastern seaboard for the rest of the weekend. >> brian norcross, thank you so much. so tucker will make an appearance this hour. that's straight ahead. plus, should joe biden take a cognitive test? we'll go for that evidence for that, the physician. that's next. you think the kids are having this much fun time? yeah, i think they're having a blast. >> life asks a lot from you. why not get a little relief along the way? the powerlessness from sharper image with improved ergonomic handle and enhanced performance ,the power boost massager from sharper image relief now wellness, always the talk, which is now taking a hiatus.
10:17 pm
co-host sharon osborne defended piers morgan over meghan markle . sharon osborne was fired from the talk. her exit from the talk made headlines around the world. growing up, my father's family were absolutely penniless. >> it was a new format for television. she takes her stuff off the stage. she collapses. no one should have ever gone through what she went through. why are you doing this to me? they've moved me for asking a question. a few staff in the fact it was so unfair that she was labeled something that she wasn't. the punishment doesn't fit the crime because there was no crime. we don't know anything about me. i say not them. hi, i'm attorney del mccoury
10:18 pm
mccarthy, proud veteran who's been helping marines and their families decades. but now i'm sure you've heard the news about campers in new law, which allows victims to file for compensation. this is different than your veteran's disability claim. there's a lot of confusing information out there. so i've put together a dedicated team to answer your questions. and to take your calls. call 800 820 eighty eight . that's 800 820. eighty eight . call right now. >> you know, it says out of workshop for a reason. >> i'm so sorry to bother you, boss. but they moved the world cup to the holidays. >> we let the actual world come to my holiday season. >> are you kidding me? yeah. there's messi and ronaldo. yeah, but that's my time to shine. i mean, i'm not supposed to compete with that. you know what? >> get blitzed on the phone. i got to get back up there right now. i got to call 911. >> what's your emergency?
10:19 pm
we have a bleep emergency and i want to kill that light power remain. oh, there's someone out there. it's never easy. >> 911. all new monday on fox or watch any time trekking in as the hurricane makes an impact
10:20 pm
10:21 pm
on me ght now. i'm not a dermatologist, but who is your dermatologist? everybody has to get checked. >> twenty , twenty two , sadly, on track to be the most violent year in the history of the city of philadelphia, the city of brotherly love about to set an all time homicide record . five hundred sixty two killings, according to axios, this year, the city is already on pace. that's the record to exceed that number by the end of 2020 two. and it's not just murders. everything is going robberies with guns up 60%. and just this week, philadelphia set a new all time record for carjackings. they had a thousand in total. >> here's footage of one of those carjackings.
10:22 pm
these videos are becoming all too common. these crimes are also obviously all too common because five years ago, a d.a. named larry krasner was elected in philadelphia with some help. by the way, nearly two million of business financing came from george soros. as soon as he took office, krasner announced new policies . here's one . the city would stop prosecuting crimes like and drug possession. and that policy, of course, in bold and criminals. now, instead of facing reality, krasner is downplaying philadelphia's problem. >> we all have to work together in the reality that we have been more of a former district attorney . but everybody in the country knows that maybe it's not working. >> it is . >> the reality is that aren't some thousand people killed in 20 months, the it is working. the reality is when you look at all these different jurisdictions, we have had a devastating blow from the pandemic and there is absolutely no correlation between being progressive or
10:23 pm
traditional and the rate of crime, the rate of homicide in trump states as compared to biden states take all 50 of them is 40 percent. republicans say the opposite. it's all the blue. republicans lie. i mean, let's just get down to it. republicans lie. that is what they do so much to work through their guy wrench this is a pennsylvania congressman and he's also a campaign surrogate for for senate guy. >> great to have you on the program this morning. let's start with a statement that it is working. the policy is working according to krasner. >> maybe it is . then tone is due to accomplish totally delusional. >> it's gaslighting. these are the same people that told us inflation was transitory. the same people that said we weren't in a recession. they're gaslighting us in the numbers. speak for themselves. you can't hide the statistics. well, if you think about it, you have a one in one hundred and two chance of being a victim of violent crime in philadelphia. think about that. if you graduated with three
10:24 pm
hundred kids in your high school class, three of your friends would be the victim of violent crime if you were in philadelphia. that's staggering. in person to blame is kassner. the fact that he fired thirty some veteran prosecutors the second he took office. the fact that he, in essence, got away with cash bail, for example. it's leading to the chaos in the violence that we're seeing on the street. it's not as though we're at the cutting edge, the leading edge of watching and experimenting at how these policies play out. we're seeing it across the nation. so in other words, when he says it's working, it makes me wonder, well, maybe it is in your estimation, maybe it is working if you actually want to create more crime and that's exactly what's happening when he says, well, trump states red states have higher crime, ignoring the fact that that is localized in blue cities within red states. >> you can correlate the rising crime to two things. no. one woke dors that are in effect, in effect,
10:25 pm
decriminalizing a lot of offenses and also the defund the police movement. we've seen in places like l.a., for example, new york city, where $1 billion in crime rates go up as you defund the police. >> they can't hide from these statistics. no doubt. and unfortunately, philadelphians can't hide from this crime. it's being played out not just in philadelphia, cities across this nation. and you have to ask then what is the goal that you're actually working towards? then what is the goal? all right, congressman, thank you so much for joining us this evening. thank you. have a good night. on major cities, as we just mentioned, becoming more dangerous this while the economy is in a freefall. >> nuclear war a real possibility. >> at a time like this, you need you don't just want you need a competent president . so you have to ask, what's joe biden been doing lately? we assembled a montage of recent joe biden footage, and all these clips are from the month of september.
10:26 pm
>> some people ask whether you are fit for the job. and when you hear that, i wonder what you think. watch me, mr. president . >> here, you know, the knee is very to live to live and not having the money to pay for it. >> not a joke. think about think about what you think about. >> you're going to have to make that cement. you're going to use that as basis to build on because you need security. you need stability for what you have and you're going to build up stories beyond i mean, this is incredible. >> this is the united states. come here for god's sake. >> i want to thank all of you here for including bipartisan
10:27 pm
elected officials like representative governor senator brian , senator booker, representative jackie , you here first? jackie , i think she should be here. you know, you're tempted to laugh. it can be comical, but it's truly sad. and it's not just sad for joe biden. it's sad for the united states of america. and americans cannot be expected to ignore the signs of joe biden's decline. it's right there in front of our face. now, one physician says joe biden should submit to a cognitive evaluation immediately and that physician is dr nicole saphire and she joins us now. dr. saffire, great to see you this evening. why don't we have a cognitive test on joe biden? well, well, that's a great question. now, first of all, i have to say, i am not saying the president has dementia. i can't i haven't even been in the same room with him, let alone perform the necessary tests to evaluate his cognition. i am adamantly saying that anyone seeking or within an
10:28 pm
elected position should be fully transparent with their physical and cognitive fitness to make sure that they can do the duties of the job that they seek or that they hold. now, the president in november of 2020 one , had his annual physical exam. we get it every single year from the presidents and they say how strong they and the president's physician talked about some of his, you know, common medical comorbidities, but he made no mention of his cognition. now, that goes against what medicare recommends and president biden should be familiar with this under the affordable care act, those 65 and older are required to have a cognitive assessment when they have their annual wellness exam. yet the president's wellness exam did not mention his cognition. now, if you remember, in 2018, president trump, because people were questioning what his mental state was, he underwent common, generalized assessment. the montreal won and he passed it with flying colors. so now the president has his annual physical coming up in about a month. he's going to be 80 years old,
10:29 pm
president or not any 80 year old man should be subject to cognitive testing. >> yeah, i think that's that's probably the most important point. and i don't think it escapes anyone's attention. but in that clip, when he's asking where jackie is, i mean, that's congresswoman jackie walorski who's passed away. he's already even honored her and her lifetime of service here. now he's wondering, where is jackie? >> you make an interesting and important point. >> if you were not president of the united states , you'd want to cognitive test. >> but we're talking about the leader of the free world. well, well, and that is unfortunately, that is why i wrote the article. and that's why it's coming to my attention, because these gaffes, we have to know if the president and we should we deserve to know as americans elections, they're essentially investing of our future of america. and we need to put our strongest foot forward as we're dealing with inflation and coming out of covid and everything else that we're dealing with . and these gaffes may just be gaffes or if there really is an issue and we need to make
10:30 pm
sure that we have strong leadership, then that needs to happen. but again, president or not, he should undergo cognitive testing at his annual wellness exam. >> americans deserve nothing less. and i appreciate what he had to say about you can't and you shouldn't diagnose somebody from a distance. i spoke to former white house doctor ronnie jackson about this. he said, but you also can't deny what everyone can see with their eyes. everyone has had an elderly grandparent or parent. everyone sees signs. and unfortunately, now we're seeing them in spades with the president of the united states . dr. saphire, great to talk to you this evening. >> thanks for having me. it turns out tony fauci became very wealthy during the covid pandemic, huh? >> that happened. we'll investigate straight ahead. plus, tucker will be joining us for more of his interview with ufc president dana white in las vegas. >> that's next. is clinica

edition of tucker carlson. tonight, when dana white firsta got involved iwhitn the ufc bac two thousand one , he said he20 never imagined that the sport would allow female fights that all changed in 2013.agined and dana white met ronda rousey, who went on to becomeesy became one of the most famous females combat sports athletes in the world. >>s in t so when you got into ts twenty two years go , did you imagine there would be a category for female fighterse f you know, what you have toas understand is at that time, i was trying to get people to accept men fighting in a cage, which people thought was horrible. i saw a fight up in northernmen. california with two women. that was a a horrible mismatch. and i wa ls like, oh, my god, nobody's ready for this. then i met ronda rousay and it was ugly.t wa >> that was ugly. i mean, you know, you see a woman on her back taking t elbows to the facehe. yeah. that she can't defend and that
10:37 pm
