hospital to be treated for a leg wound. a teenager crashed and killed 55-year-old flores. he is facing first degree murder and aggravated fleeing charges. the 17 year old was just one of four people arrested thursday in connection to that crime. the four are also accused of being part of several carjackings on september 29th. in philadelphia, attempted carjacking in the driveway of a mother and daughter caught on tape in the early morning hours last week. we have the disturbing video, just to warn you, it is of the suspect threatening the pair with a gun. elderly woman in the face and another video shown throwing hot coffee on two police officers. roberts, this guy should not be on the streets, here is more of the rap sheet. we detailed it there. why do we keep having the same conversation day after day after day with nothing being done about it? >> yeah, very disheartening and let me just say mr. nelson is clearly a hero, he is suffering from the physical beating that he took and the mental and his mother. i speak to her on a weekly basis, this has been horrific. this has to stop. new bail reform must be changed. time and time began, this guy should not be privileged to be under the new bail reform. after 40 beatings, you would think lock him up and throw away the key. >> todd: same conversation day after day and nothing changes.

>> janice: take a look at the radar where we have showers and thunderstorms across the four corners, a cold front moving toward the upper midwest and central planes and the rain, some remnants of ian moving to the mid-atlantic and this will linger today through tuesday, rainy conditions and below average temperatures. area of low pressure off the coast and this pattern that is going to make this linger, not only heavy rainfall, but strong winds will lead to coastal flooding from north carolina all the way up to new england.

rain still to come, some areas three to five inches, up toward new jersey and del marva, and wind gusts will be persistent pushing water up and down the coast. when you have winds gust ing 20 to 30 miles per hour. four corners, potential for heavy rain, maybe one to three inches in some areas and the burn scars, that will leave potential for flooding and take a look at tropics, ush doesance number one and two, both areas will move westward and we'll have several days to watch t bottom line, it is not over and we need to be vigilant and around u.s. coastline, things can develop and move quickly, we need to keep alert and have plans in place just in case. >> carley: over600,000

floridians without power and things could get worse. supply chain issues could slow down restoration of florida's electrical grid. home depot head of emergency operation says improvements have been made, there are constraints in the supply chain in total. an international importer and exporter tariff and trade expert joins us now. you know a lot about this issue, if you don't have power right now, should you be worried that supply chain issues will slow down the time it takes to restore it? >> i think there is absolutely going to be a slowdown. on a national level, there is shortage of transformers for electrical power grids. transformers convert high voltage to lower voltage, so it

could go to a business or house. it is an issue. right now we have long lag times especially on the east coast with equipment and raw materials coming in. it will take a while. with that, i think no matter how tragic this terrible storm impacted florida, i think it could have been more severe, especially with ports of tampa and jacksonville, two major ports. if those shut down, this would have been parlaid issue that i think would have affected a lot of communities more severely. >> carley: great point on the ports. back to transformers, is the issue they are not made in the united states? is this example of good reason to get the supply chain back at home? >> yes. from my understanding and i'm not an expert trans formers,

only about half a dozen companies make the transformers and only one produce special steel required to make it for the others. with that, other steel coming from other countries, especially germany, had strikes in germany that set the supply chain back for months and we know the china issues we've been experiencing, should have more merchandising for emergencies and not be so dependent on overseas countries. >> carley: over 600,000 people without power or internet or phone service and governor desantis said elon musk will partner with florida to help out. take a listen. >> we're working with elon musk and he's got star link satellite repositioning those to be over this part of florida. it comes from there to here and you can get the internet off this with your device.

ideology that just doesn't make any sense. look, i get it, you know, i'm a colonel in the military and as a green beret and national guardsman, you give a platoon an order to take t the hill. they have to follow that order for good military and discipline. as a leader and this is what i am asking of the pentagon leadership. you also have to reevaluate your orders. you have to change your orders when the situation changes. and, you know, if you ever someone getting into a submarine or getting into a tank, that you thought were going to infect others, that's one thing. but since the vaccine now doesn't stop the spread, it's a personal health decision, the cdc agrees, let's reevaluate this order. if we flip the house i hope to be the chairman of the military readiness committee. if the pentagon won't change we will legislate it and force them to change. we have to take care of these people who have been out on the front lines all during the pandemic. many of whom, by the way, have
