not covered for water because generally, homeowners insurance doesn't cover flooding. so you have to buy national flood insurance. i was reading this morning, i think, tampa bay and only a third in that region had that sort of coverage. >> yeah, i've heard that from people on the ground. i think they are in the state of shock taking the pictures and doing the steps they would take as if they were perhaps covered in the hopes they will receive some kind of assistance. they will look to fema for a lot of this but we've also seen that they will look at their home and this could be the second home. if they basically don't know where to go at this point. >> thank you so much. >> brian: they say they can't get a mortgage without insurance and then they get a letter before sandy a year before, you know what, we don't think you are in a flood zone so you don't

need it. thankfully, i would just keep it but thank goodness, 3 feet of water and so did my whole neighborhood but the ironic thing the same amount of money that didn't have flood insurance as the people that did have. >> ainsley: how is that? >> brian: because fema stepped in and fill out the criteria. >> ainsley: that happen here? >> brian: yeah, the thing is you want to make people whole again. but at the same time for flood insurance, you have to get the same amount of money whether you have it or not. >> ainsley: have to hope that fema will step in. >> ai>> steve: tens of thousandf floridians will be ruined because they didn't have flood insurance. state law does not require it but if you have a mortgage, they will say "you know what, you will have to have it." it doesn't cover the full cost a lot of these homes completely wiped off of the map. >> ainsley: if fema does not

are from new york. she is from a big state. but we have your relative terms a large puerto rican population in delaware. relative to the population. we have the eighth largest population and between all minorities 20% of the state is minority. so, i was sort of raised in a puerto rican community at home politically. so when we came here for a long time, both for business and pleasures... be one of "the new york post" looked into this where he said i was sort of raised in the puerto rican community, delaware politically. when he was starting his career 50 years ago, only 2,000 people puerto rican ancestry lived in delaware. and he has never mentioned any connections before yesterday to the community or the particular puerto rican community. >> ainsley: so bizarre comic

so bizarre. five weeks until the mid terms of this will affect you when you go to the polls. gas prices are going up again, we hate to tell you. gas prices are spiking on the west coast and california have, today the gas price, the average gas price $6.41. last week $5.88. look at all the other states too, nevada, oregon, they were alaska, washington and arizona. >> brian: and earlier, he was saving a lot of this goes into making green and make it more environmentally friendly. they put these ads and to boost the price and the gas tax plus the fact i don't really want to build any more gas stations. they want you upset about the gas prices. so, you know, you take paycheck to paycheck. >> ainsley: if you are poor, you cannot afford that. the largest porous community in

the country, he says. >> steve: because you have to have that super green plant of gas out there, there are three refineries off-line. so we do supply and demand. if the supply is tight, the prices go up. that is why three months of the price is going down, some stations are up a dollar a gallon in the last couple of weeks. here is to work on how it is impacting you. >> the spike in gas prices by far and away the worst in california as you just pointed out. it is $6.41 a gallon and that is at $0.50 per gallon in a matter of days. this hurts the poor people of california. california has the highest population in the nation. people don't know that but they do. what is going to happen when those people have to pay $6.41 for a gallon of gas? remember, people in california driving electric cars are paying

through the nose. isn't this an embarrassment for president biden? >> ainsley: feeling the pain of this administration incompetence, right? opec is holding a critical meeting in vienna and cut production if they drive the price of oil even higher. it could be 2 million barrels per day, which will be a big blow for the white house. >> steve: wright, remember during the summer president flew to saudi arabia to increase production by 100,000 barrels, which is a drop in the bucket. think about it, if they cut up by 2 million barrels and given the fact when he opened up a million barrels a day for the strategic petroleum reserve, there are a lot of people who analyzed the petroleum markets and say saying, "what saudi arabia is doing is a little payback towards joe biden." and it could not hit democrats at a worse time. here we are five weeks out from election and the prices going up

with politics. when that happens, a lot of historical patterns tend to reinsert themselves. even though you have a crew this time around of republican candidates who make up essentially a ton of outsiders, people who never held elective office including dr. oz, then you have these kind of fundamental issues of economic concerns, criminal concerns, border concerns and other major issues reinsert themselves as important. that is when people start to focus in and see the historical pattern such as a closed state like pennsylvania reinsert itself. >> steve: felicia, you are down in georgia. i think a lot of people thought stacey abrams would be closer than she has right now. what is going on in your state? >> well, first of all, thank you for having me once again. out in georgia, bc the surge of moderate conservative voters who are looking for a viable option. what we have dealt with is we

presented to conservatives as an option for them to choose this next round. since the inception, we have seen stacey abrams trying to make an appeal to black men in particular and yet, it is not sticking and we see a lot of black male voters and black women saying listen, we are not getting what we went from the democratic party. so that doesn't mean the republican party to present a competing offer. that is where the conscious conservative has come in. we have had great discussions from black voters particularly out in college or just listening to them about their concerns, the primary concerns of the economy, inflation, gas prices, and so many of them are satisfied with the work that brian kemp has done. him being an incumbent is really working for him right now. >> steve: lee, ever since the dobbs decision came down with

the supreme court, that is a motivating factor starting months ago for the democrats. but now we are five weeks away from the midterms. will that continue to motivate democrats and will it be such a movement that it would overwhelm the republicans which are personal security, financial security corma bor, so criminal that? >> there was a time 65% of women said if they were going to vote because of this one issue on dobbs, but what we are seeing right now, americans are more concerned about the economy and more concerned about their safety and about the security. there is a huge amount of pessimism in the country. it's not just about women's rights but about fundamentals, appealing better and hopeful for the children. i think what we are also seeing his republicans are putting forth a plan, a commitment to america. we start to talk about the issues that they will fight

for, what they will do to address inflation, what they will do to address the border, what they will do to address crime. those are the issues most important. rather than what they were doing which is very much saying how bad things are, the democrats, how good things can be. that is a good shift. we are seeing a gain of three-point in the polls since labor day. so i think we are seeing a big ship momentum and the republicans are taking the right strategy right now. >> steve: ben, it comes down to what ronald reagan said years ago if republicans were to say, are you better off today than you were two years ago? and that will determine who you vote for. >> yeah, i think that question for that is no or certainly much more concerned about the economic problem, prospects than two years ago. one thing i would remind you all of is the political advice of the wu-tang clan around me.

the expenditure of cash in this final month is going to be a big determinant. for the reasons the race is getting closer in pennsylvania and dr. oz got his feet under him when it came to raising money. a lot of outside candidates are not used to raising money. former president trump weighs in on their behalf and spends money on their behalf could be the determinant whether republicans end up with the senator or not. >> steve: felecia i will give you 30 seconds. >> listen i'm glad the republican party is making inroads with the other groups. it is a shame they didn't give that same effort to black americans in georgia. nevertheless, the conservatives are here and we will continue to present options to them because we believe in conservatism is tt opportunity for them, especially as we are witnessing what democs are doing in these areas. >> steve: lee carter, you get the final word. >> i'm really looking forward to these last five weeks as both
