tv The Ingraham Angle FOX News October 4, 2022 7:00pm-8:00pm PDT
7:00 pm
having fun been by the way, aaron judge hits 62. congratulations to him and the yankees. as always, thank you for joining us and thank you for making the show possible. plea safe your dvr so you never miss an episode of hannity. in the meantime, let not your heart be troubled. the ingraham angle, laura is standing by. all right. hit me with whatever it is. >> well, we have some -- last night you claimed you never had a mustache. >> no. >> well, we did soleuthing. so later on the in the week we will reveal our evidentiary basis for claiming otherwise. so we will tell everyone as the days go on, we will review. >> let me say this. >> yeah. >> being friends with laura ingraham comes at a very high price. you got to be able to take her ridicule.
7:01 pm
>> no. it was adorable either way, hannity. awesome show tonight. we loved it. >> all right. have a great show. >> all right. i'm laura ingraham. this is ingraham angle from washington tonight. thanks so much for i didn't think us. >> fruit and consequences -- truth and consequenceses. that's the focus of tonight's angle. now even democrats know the truth. joe biden is unsteady and unsure of himself. he often doesn't know where he is or where he's going. [applause] >> mr. president, thank you. >> when he gets lost mid thought, he falls back on verbal crutches, like defouring to -- detouring about his childhood. none of it seems to add up. >> we have a very relative terms, large puerto ricoian population in delaware treatment o
7:02 pm
relative to our population. and so i was sort of raised in the puerto ricoian community at home, politically. >> okay. and as things deteriorate for him, doctor jill's role seems to be more like that of a visiting angel rather than a first lady. >> go down here. >> now, the democrats thought -- i think they were being clever by nominating biden in 2020 whom they sold to us and a lot of uneasy voters as kind of a familiar grandfatherly figure, a mainstream democrat, not an extreme liberal. but all along the democrats knew that he was going to be too weak to rlsz the hard left -- resist the hard left and he would be a perfect figurehead to preside over their radical agenda. but they don't seem so clever now, do they? it's all unravelling. and as the midterms are closing in, they're reduced now to spouting unsubstantiated allegation and lame personal
7:03 pm
attacks to try to hold on to power. but of course this is not the first time democrats have lied and smeared to get ahead. remember, they told us that president trump would hurt our alliances over seas, but they're the ones who are destroying the economies of western europe. they told us that trump would undermine our democracy, but they're the ones who never miss a chance to trash our history. >> that is a metaphor for america. we have been cleaning up after violent white supremacist mobz for generations and it must end. >> they told us that trump would hurt young people, but they're the ones who destroyed education during covid. >> i'm missing a day of work and my children are not in school. there's no reason for them to be at home. my kids are being held hostage at home. >> they told us that trump would destabilize the world, but they're the ones who have us on the verge of war with russia.
7:04 pm
>> president biden says he has no idea where it's going to end but we know where it leads. it leads us closer and closer to a brink of a nuclear war with russia. >> now, they told that you say trump was going to hurt working people, but they're the ones actually digging them into a hole. >> your inflation scourge have given average working folks a 3.4% wage cut over the past year. >> they told us that trump was buddy buddy with big oil, but they're the ones causing oil prices to spike. >> if we take a look at crude oil prices this morning, you'll see that oil is coming off at nearly 4% gain for yesterday. this morning, it is up again. >> now, they told us that trump would weaken the norms that uphold our system, but they're the ones now pounding a false narrative to so doubt about the supreme court. >> at the end of the day, all the supreme court is right now is a republican-wish machine. it is just the enforcement arm
7:05 pm
of the republican party agenda with people wearing fancy robes. >> and now they tell us that populous threaten democracy, but they're the ones who help communist china become really powerful. >> supporting china's entry into the wto is about mower than our economic -- more than our economic interest. it is in our national interest. >> they tell us every republicans want to control women, but they can't even explain what a woman is. >> can you provide a definition for the word woman? >> i can't. >> you can't? >> not in this context. >> they tell us that populous conservatives promote violence, but they're the ones who encourage the smearing of law enforcement which then led to violence and looting. >> do you believe there is systemic racism in law enforcement? >> absolutely. it's snot-- not just law
7:06 pm
enforcement. it's across board. >> police departments across the united states can't find willing recruits. they're down 300, 400, sometimes 600 officers in one department. huge shortfalls mean more communities are vulnerable to the rising crime that we're seeing all over the country. that is the shameful truth. biden and the rest, i'm sorry, they're frauds and they're cruel to the bone while pretending to be the most compassionate. it is their policies that are dashing the dreams of countless americans, especially those who are most disdisadvantaged. they must never be trust with power again until they reform their parties. people like fdr and jfk or return to sanity would be nice at this point. who knows when that will happen f that will happen. but in the meantime, we're going to have on redouble our efforts
7:07 pm
to restore our economy, restore our schools, our foreign policy and, yes, our patriotic spirit. and that's the angle. joining me now is the former white house press secretary and the election of inintegrity. also with me is ben editor at large for the spectator and fox news contributor. ben, it's great to see you guys tonight. we just learned that biden is now in his -- and his administration is begging opec not to continue with its plan to dramatically cut oil production. so now biden -- it has that two step going on. he's crushing our energy production here and then prostrating america before despites. how is this good for us? >> it's super -- it's super easy, laura. i mean, every time that the prices go down, that's something that you can thank president biden for. every time they go up, it's someone else's fault. look, everything that you laid
7:08 pm
out there in the angle is completely correct. this is an effort in gas lightning that we've seen over the past several years, unlike anything that i've ever seen politically where every single time that they are confronted with being called on the type of ramifications for the policies that they're advocating for, they point to the other side and say, oh, no, this is their fault. they're the ones doing this thing. they're the ones tearing down our institutions. they're the ones who are engaging in dangerous antidemocratic activity. you know, when president biden goes out there and scares up all sorts of people about the ramifications of the elections in italy just the other day, you know, he's engaging in something that is clearly antidemocratic, anti-elections. and that's something yet that he turns around and says, oh, well i'm just trying to defend, you know, democracy against these dangerous populous, author
7:09 pm
tarrians or something like that. and this is the entire approach that we've seen under the obama, biden era of the democratic party. >> it's a smear machine. hogan, the lincoln project stooges are out in full force again. and again, they have really no successes so it's only talking points against republicans who, by the way, are not in the majority. watch. >> now the republican party has become a party of misogyny, a party of racism, big tree, of hypocrisy, of rewarding liars. and people who are completely unqualified to represent anyone. they're not qualified to be dog catcher. that is incredibly dangerous for our democracy. >> hogan, it's so easy to defeat her nonpoints. it's almost not worth bothering. but who kept disadvantages kids locked down in urban areas? who prevented vouchers from being given to parents to switch schools if they wanted to? who did all of this?
7:10 pm
the republicans? i don't think so. >> yeah. absolutely. your monologue, to echo ben, is right on the point. the irrationale, illogical, you know, thought process of the left is so problematic. but the policies they put in place in the last two years have hurt real americans. not the left and the media and joe biden will work together will tell you all of these things are happening to him, all of the problems we face are happening to joe biden. no, no. they're happening because of joe biden. and so all the issues that are actually going to drive people out to the polls. crime, for example, as you pointed out spiking all over the crime. the rapes, the burglaries, the murders. we can see a republican governor in oregon of all places because of the defund the police. the southern border is wide open. drugs pouring into our economy. human trafficking, smiled smuggling, all times high. and you pointed out the energy
7:11 pm
crisis. we're paying more for gas and groceries than we ever have. and surprise, surprise joe biden goes to opec. you mean we can't run this country on skittles and gummy bear and unicorn hair? we actually need oil out there? the whole thing is a joke. the american people feel the brunt of these policies and they're going to blame the democrats because, yes, they are in control, they'll pay the price this november. >>, you know, ben, i was thinking about their decisionmaking when they really push biden to the forefront in the nomination process. a lot of the left didn't want biden, but he wasn't kind of -- he was the reassuring choice for middle america. but they needed someone strong snrt who could kind of -- in there who could give a stiff-arm to the left. they made a big miscalculation with biden. huge miscalculation in the end. >> it was a huge miscalculation. you and i were there, laura, in south carolina where we saw biden kind of cement this. clearly backed by barack obama.
7:12 pm
i have to disagree slightly with your definition of the success of the lincoln project. i think they were very successful at covering up the attempts by one of their cofounders to solicit younger men, as we've learned over the years. >> right. >> but i think when it came to the situation that we saw with biden, he was someone that they thought would be able to be this kind of moderate, normalcy based candidate. but what we've seen when it comes to his presidency is anything but. he has cast aside any of the kind of norm that is we talked about, accepted over the years about the presidency. he's made our relationships with our allies worse. in your open, he haslett us in -- he has let us through his foreign policy decision, up to the brink of potential nuclear warfare with russia. it's a complete disaster. and i think democrats actually, when you give them a few bears in, they will admit this truth
7:13 pm
about his presidency. but it's a horrible situation for the country. it's the worse kind of time for a biden presidency. and he's really led us to, i think, one of the worst scenarios that we are facing as a country at home and abroad. it's terrible in lately of different ways. >> nuclear war, a possibility, but covid apparently was a much worse possibility for people who had very little risk for serious illness. i mean, you cannot make this up. >> hogan, ben great to see you both. thank you. >> and now a tribute to joe biden. >> a real tribute to president biden he has been a great president. he has accomplished -- we have been working together and accomplished so much. that is beginning to have some appreciation in the public in terms of his leadership. rescue package, bipartisan infrastructure package, this most recent inflation reduction act. the president has done a remarkable job. >> for once we agree with nancy pelosi.
7:14 pm
well, not about the remarkable job. but the midterms will be a tribute to joe, to his repeated failures on things that matter moss. inflation, crime, the border, all of it. the voters know the truth. new polling shows the gop is gaining. the best showing for republicans in real clear politics since july 28th. even the new york times is admitting it. it's clear, the race has shifted towards republicans in important ways. the democrats' position is starting to look gulp, quite vuln vulnerable . >> congressman, right now republicans -- and i don't want to, you know, get ahead of of the horse here. but have the wind at their backs. but the next question becomes, what are republicans going to do when they get into power? will this be squandered opportunities, or is this going
7:15 pm
to be hit the ground running? >> yeah. laura, we can't squander the opportunity that we have. a couple of weeks ago, republicans made a commitment to america. we unveiled our agenda to the american people, a framework. now after we get the majority, we have to do everything we can to keep that commitment to america. so we have to fight hard to pass legislation, to bring down gas prices, to address inflation. the democrats are so divorced from the reality today of everyday working americans. they don't know what they're going through when they've all lost the equivalent of one month of their salary on average $7200 a year that americans have lost because of inflation. gas prices averaging over $4 a. today, they were $2.39 when joe biden became president. the fact of the matter is that the american people are hurting and democrats are divorced from that reality. when we get the majority back, we have to address those concerns. >> now, tom, i think now joe and
7:16 pm
kamala understand the only thing they have left is really one topic. watch this. >> it is important for everyone to know what is at stake. to stop and reverse these attacks on women, we need to pass such a national law. >> congressly republicans are doubling down on extreme position with the proposals for a national ban. i'm not going to sit buy and have them act on extreme policies. to threaten access to basic health care. >> tom, he doesn't even sound like he believes. a recent poll is now showing that abortion was the seventh most important issues to voters right now. so what does this tell us about this -- i don't want to call it a hail mary because i couldn't call abortion a hail mary, but what does this tell us? is this all they have? >> well, look, the days are pretty clear for a long time. i mean there was a bump in abortion overall after the
7:17 pm
dobb's decision. so this is not shocking news. democrats are all in on this. every ad you're seeing running in swing districts and senate raises across the country are all about abortion. the problem is, as you point out, it only energizes democrats. people are concerned with inflation, economy, jobs, gas prices, cost of living. even crime and immigration are higher for abortion. democrats are -- while they're trying to, obviously, energize their base, which they need their base, but they can't win particularly in some of these battleground states without winning over independent voters. right now, they're focused on abortion makes them look out of touch and all those other issues and those are issues that independents with caring about. >> they're already leap frogging ahead, congressman, to 2024. it's almost like people with through the midterms. we haven't had the mid terms yet. so a day after nbc broke that
7:18 pm
news that biden was going to run again in 2024, another crack formed. watch this. >> 2024. is biden the best candidate to represent democrats? >> he's our president right now. he has qualifications. i won't say if he's best or if he's not. >> will you commit to supporting him if he runs? >> if the president is the nominee, then he will be the person that we support. >> okay. that's a nonanswer. she's obviously a far left congresswoman, but they're going to be running fast from biden, are they not, congressman? >> no question about it. they know what is about to happen. on november 8th the american people are going to reject joe biden, nancy pelosi, chuck schumer and their policies and give republicans the majority because of it. the democrats see the writing on the wall. they all talk privately about it on capitol hill. they know what's coming. and they've got their sights to 2024 because they've already moved on from this election.
7:19 pm
so when we get the majority back, we have to fight hard to -- again, do and say what we're going to do and make sure we keep the majority. if we do what we're going to do, laura, i do believe the reward for that will be winning back the white house in 2024 to get our country back on back. >> that means we need real legislation, not just bull point policies -- bullet point. the commitment to america was nice, but it's not a lot of specifics. it was theme and themes good, but got to put meat on the bones. t tom. stacy abramgz are plaining of policies. >> when you take a picture that is predominant lies republican and has a disproportionate white population or the undercounts participation of women, of course it's going to lean in the direction of the incumbent. but when those polls look the compensation of georgia, we are in a neck and neck race. >> but, tom, isn't rcp's polling
7:20 pm
average showing kemp with a 7 point lead right now, right? >> yes. look, the other thing is there can be -- sometimes when you have a race where it's close, you'll have some polls saying the democrats are ahead, some polls saying the republicans are ahead. that's not the case here. every single poll across the bored shows kemp -- board shows kemp leading. some so -- so it's not the case that somehow the polls are biased against stacy an abrams in particular. the truth is she is not succeed anythinger effort right now. part of that is because brian kemp is a popular incumbent governor. and things are good in georgia. for that reason, voters don't want to change horses. the other problems for her is joe biden's approval rating in georgia is in the low 40s or high 30s. that is a problem for democrats not just in georgia but all
7:21 pm
7:27 pm
. >> you heard of -- the new angle has a new era, let's call them jen c for the coddle generation. i'm talking about the spoiled entitled poorly read, poorly spoken and always ready to play the victim generation. they been schooled in social media that america is race and i say privilege is everywhere. they're praised, except if it's pro-life or prolisten. because they've been told that police, of course, are racist, too. they're anxiety -- the failed education established
7:29 pm
>> does that surprise you given your experience that we chronicle -- what was that a couple of years ago? >> it was. it doesn't surprise me at all. laura, i think you summarized it. we have a coddled generation. we have a group of people who have learned to get by, whether it was due to covid, whether it was due to civil unrest, whether they want to blame it on the solar eclipse. who knows what they're going to blame it on. they believe they have entitlement to good grades and the lack of studying. we can track that to the extent you teach remotely, you get a printout on how many minutes students spend in your class. one of my colleagues yesterday said he marked and observed a student who was complaining about their grade that they had attended precisely nine minutes for the entire academic period. >> oh my god. unbelievable. charlie, i know you're not surprised about all this. in the statement to the ingraham angle, nyu spokesperson defend
7:30 pm
the termination saying that dr. jones was hired to teach and wasn't successful. nyu has a lot of hardcorism that don't end up about outcomes and raise questions about the quality and the effectiveness of the teaching as this class did. charlie, you notice that he focused on outcomes. so the university wants kids to get into med school whether the -- the test scores and the work that goes into the subject isn't up to snuff doesn't matter at all. unbelievable. >> yeah. it's a high stakes game who want to become a doctor. let me just say as a millennial. i'm loving the fact that we can bash on another generation. for five years, it was like millennials that was the worse. feinly, there's a generation that's worse than us. it's true by the way. those gen zers are the worse. honestly, do you think china is looking at us and making excuse that 82 students or whatever it was complain about organic
7:31 pm
chemistry? does that make us more likely to feed them in the next, 30, 40, or 50 years. inflation is wrong. it heroes standards. it coddles kids. let's just remember, this is nyu. this is one of the top schools on the planet where if you sign a petition against your professor, you can have the leaders of that university can a pit late to your demands. this sets an awful precedent. organic chemicalvy r history, that's above my head. but guess what, you want to be in the best medical system in the world, you have to for sake equity and feelings and prioritize hierarchy and excellence over those things. and i guess gen z gets their way which is complain all the time. >> my brother aced organic chemical history. i just couldn't get. that was my -- that was a warning to me. med school is not for you. now, here are the types of complaints about dr. jones. on the ratemyprofessor.com said
7:32 pm
one student gave the class gave them anxiety and night matters. another was self-diagnosed with orgo ptsd. professor, i thought college was supposed to build on a work ethic, character, mental toughness? but apparently the course has to change for the kid here. >> you know, i never know -- notice that i created mental disorders of unique nature. orgo ptsd. no, we get criticized. i've been criticized as a white male who believes in the culture of rigor. i thought that ucla is still renowned nationwide and gets the accolade as the number one public university in america. we're suppose to get there and stay there due to a culture of rigor which was built up over a hundred years. we are de--
7:33 pm
>> remember, george w. bush had -- that was one of the most accurate ways of describing what we're doing to young people with the way they speak, the way they, you know, write. what they don't read and what they do read in schools. it's not making them better. it's making them less able to understand the world around them in a clear way. and yet this is what we're doing. >> it also makes them really depressed. it's anxious, alcohol addicted and psychiatric drug generation in history. why? because they're thinking about themselves all the time. in a cystism doesn't lead for life. commitment, duty, honor, patriotism, that actually is a good way to live you're life. do something hard and believe in delaid gratification, not just whether or not you have enough is that gram likes or -- instagram likes. i think the society of
7:34 pm
overfocusing on the feelings of generation. >> let's not forget adults are responsible for the way the kids are brought up, and that's -- that's really not their fault. this is the way they were raised bit culture and the -- by the culture and by their parents. professor, charlie, this is a subject we're going to address again. thank you. >> now, the biden administration officials swore that thousands of afghans who were bought here after the botched evacuation from the airport in afghanistan, they were all fully vetted, right? now we have a horrifying case of child abuse out of new mexico revealing what we knew at the time. it wasn't true, there was no vetting. the shocking details, coming up.

refugees when they independently departed u.s. military bases. and then they could it even document when the refugees left those bases. so they're being marked present when in reality they're god knows where doing god knows what. now, when dhs would finally notice someone was missing, the report states that the agency didn't even bother trying to find them. and that's untop of the other lies the administration was peddling. like this. >> i can absolutely assure you that no one coming into the united states of america who has not been through a thorough screening and background check process. >> we conducted comprehensive security and vetting screening of the individuals who arrived here under operation allies. we're extraordinarily proud of that program. >> but as we learn last month and yet another dhs watchdog report, refugees were not
7:41 pm
screened or vetted properly either. and that includes this next shocking story out of new mexico. afghan refugee has just been accused of committing sex crimes against a 12-year-old boy. according to court documents, he sat next to the victim at a park, showed him porno videos and started touching him. when the victim tried to get away, he purged him in the -- punched him in the face twice. the victim ran and tried to hide the in the bathroom, but he followed him, locked the door and started kissing him and forced the 12-year-old boy to touch him. joining me now is new mexico congresswoman. congresswoman, this came almost a year to the day that a female soldier at fort bliss was attacked by a group of afghan men. how did that not set off alarm bells. >> right. thank you for having me. your right. we were on your show a year ago saying, look, we think there's a
7:42 pm
problem with the vetting process. we do not believe that the american people are safe. we feel like there was real problems because we knew the taliban were the ones helping to evacuate the people out of afghanistan. and you on your show, we told the american people there was a problem. we sent a letter to the president asking for confirmation of that. of course, we did not get an answer that made sense. we asked for mike orcas can be put on the committee to ask questions. we still got no answers. but now the report that came out in september confirmed everything we already knew. there were gaps in the process, the vetting was not adequate and now we're seeing what's happening. >> well, we kept being told that we promise them. like 120,000 people were promised? i don't know who they were promised by. but the american people's safety and security is a paramount importance. and the fact is, there is no real possibility of vetting
7:43 pm
99.9% of the people who were handed up to the soldiers at that military -- military airport in kabul. how do you vet them? >> well, you can't. because you can only vet against the paperwork you have available to you. and we did not have access to any of that. so we knew that they were coming into the country without properly being vetted. and then we saw, like you mention earlier, the attack on the service member on fort place after the afghan were here and living on the base. and we knew right then, if they're willing to do that to a service member on a military installation, then what could happen to people around the nation? and now we're seeing just that. a child -- in fact, this isn't the first case of an attack on a minor. we didn't do our jobs. now we put the american people in peril. and what happens, laura, if it's something more sinister? if it's a larger catastrophic issue that happens. who is going to take the blame?
7:44 pm
i hope the president will and the secretary. >> well, republicans get pack power, congresswoman, they got to do something about this. i mean, refugees are supposed to be either return to their homeland if possible, if it's not -- there has to be adequate safeguards if place. this cannot happen again. i mean, this just cannot happen again. this is just prewere you -- congresswoman, when you guys get the majority back, we expect action. >> according to officials fairfax, virginia public schools have taken steps to implement what's being called equitable grading. this is kind of a follow on to where gen c segment in a bid to fight institutional bias. one father in that district says that these programs are going to drag his daughter backward. he's here next to respond.
7:49 pm
7:50 pm
administration. the amorphous idea of equity above all else. now we heard it from kamala harris with regard to headquarter a-- hurricane aid. it shouldn't come as any surprise how prevalent this is now in our schools. according to the washington examiner, fairfax county, virginia has taken steps to implement equitable grading in order to fight institutional bias. now, some of the practices include grade penalty removal -- you know what that is -- unlimited ability to redo assignments and eliminating zeros. so even if you don't submit assignments, you get a 50% regardless. 'cause that's how the real world is, right? joining me now harry a parent. thank you for i didnjoining me tonight. i know you're daughter goes to
7:51 pm
langley high school. they claim that this is going to help everyone, including your daughter, as a student there. but what is it really going to mean for her and other students that do their work? >> well, thank you, laura for having me on. so let's talk about langley and the solution that they're trying to implement and what problem they're trying to address. at langley high school, every racial demographic group is doing quite well, even socioeconomic, low income families are doing well. they're well above state scores. so the solution that they're trying to impose is to a problem that doesn't exist. in the case of my daughter, she's a straight a student. there's an achievement gap, back up not in the other direction. the black students at langley are doing well. there is no problem. what parents need to really worry about that langley, even though that's a wealthy school, is that this type of -- equity grading, there's to science to support it. in fact, they have disastrous
7:52 pm
results elsewhere in the country. in maryland at patterson high school in the 2021-2022 academic year, out of 488 seniors, only 12 were at grade reading level. that's only 2%. 72 students were at a reading level. 45, second grade. this is a type of system that is known to fail. when the student show up, they skipped class, they get promoted. this will certainly increase graduation rate but they'll not be prepared for the outside world. >> it's not the real world, right? in the real world, results do matter. imagine if you're like the coach of after basketball team -- of a ba basketball team and say, well, i know that that we didn't score anything, but we would like half of what the other team scored. but they want to treat students as if they're not smart enough or they're not capable enough of
7:53 pm
actually competing at just a regular level. but, again, it just he knows up hurting students who have to go out in the real world and compete. >> absolutely. and parents at langley, they're furious. because they ever bring in the system to rules the quality of education of their children. at a school by all objective measures are doing well. what problems does exist? the only reason they would rules the quality of education, which they first told parents that they were the doing, we found later that they were deceiving us, is that they're trying to bring down the performance of students at langley so it's for comparable with other surrounding hulz. >> because you guys at langley high school are privileged. so we have to even out the playing field. if you did really well, then something must be wrong with you so we got to level it all out. this is going to be back fire. i'm telling you, more people are going to pull their kids out of the public school. thank you.

>> now, monty python was not only brilliant but was way ahead of the curve. well, they saw the breakdown over four years ago. >> it's every man's right to have a baby if he wants them. >> but you can't have babies. >> don't you on presumably me. >> i'm not oppressing you. where's the fetus going to be? >> okay. hilarious and, yes, a bit frightening. all right. that's it for us tonight. we're going to get a lot of reaction to our segment on generation c, the coddle generation and their approach to school and work and everybody is a victim and call me by the right pronoun and getting professors -- stored professors fired from nyu because the which
