back. senior correspondent dan springer is live in seattle, where the fight is underway. good evening. >> good evening, no doubt the 4000 residents of chinatown are angry and saying this is way too big of a huge homeless complex, it will make a bad crime situation a lot worse and they were left out of the decision. >> residents in chinatown protest everyday to block a megaof had plex homeless shelter on the edge of their neighborhood, part of a downtown area with rising crime and scores of addicted and mentally ill people. >> you go at night, and you see drug dealers and people actively doing drugs, back when heroin was a big deal, we'd see needles everywhere and collect needles

everyday. now fentanyl is on the rise and we see overdoses everyday. >> king county will add 50 tiny houses, 60-bed shelter. officials say there are 700 people living in the surrounding streets. >> downtown seattle for this shelter has more people experiencing unsheltered homelessness than any other part of the county. people want to stay in their community. >> this does attract problems, two years since this shelter opened, many have felt under siege, this vietnamese market is closing. >> we don't feel safe coming to work anymore. >> that market is far from

to another courtroom after he repeatedly interrupted her. brooks is representing himself. in philadelphia, police looking for two men who got out of their minivan and shot another two men on bikes multiple times, leaving one victim in critical condition. the suspects fled. police say if you have information, give them a call. in new york, two masked men wandered into a deli in brooklyn, pulled out a gun, demanded money and stole personal items. burglary and larceny up over last year. several u.s. postal workers arrestd and charged with stealing credit cards and identities over several years and using them to defraud banks and retailers out of $1.3 million. they stole cards from people's mails issue used them to buy luxury goods and resold the goods online.

keeping things tight in the investigation. oftentimes, keeping things tight later plays out in interrogations when detectives start to get people to talk for a suspect or a target and if they know things, it could easily help them prove cases. same time, doesn't look like much at this point they have to give to the public and it is important. >> trace: here is what they have, this is from the stockton police chief mcfadden and we'll get your reaction. >> the shootings are series of killings, we do believe we could have potential serial killer, that is how we will treat it as such. we don't know if it is a person or persons, we have no evidence that connects a person or persons to any incidents. >> trace: he is shooting one person every couple months here, your thoughts? >> it is an issue that ruled out two years ago from the defund
