lecture everyone on democracy and to democracy. what is leading noncitizens vote due to the integrity of democracy? >> well, it is absolutely unbelievable. first and foremost, this is probably the most left-wing extremists d.c. council that we have ever had in the district of columbia as noted, they passed this voting 12-1. meanwhile, crime is way up. they defunded the police. meanwhile, they kept kids out of school a better part of a year. and kids are suffering. businesses were shutting down for the better part of the year. these are the things they should be focusing on, but instead, they are focused on noncitizen voting. it is common sense that the united states citizens should vote in united states elections. >> carley: it is like a basic tenet of american values. in a nation, not just the

united states. when we say no to citizens, we should be clear we are talking about illegal immigrants. this bill passed d.c. council voted 12-1. there was one councilwoman who voted no on it and this is what she had to say about why she voted no. watch this. >> this bill is supportable except for one aspect about it. and i asked this question as a whole, "could someone who took the bus from texas and put the bus from texas where ever and dropped off at the vice president's property and then remained resident and the district of columbia for 30 days and was 18 years old, could that person vote and the elections?" and the answer was "yes." this seems entirely too flimsy. >> carley: you break the law coming here illegally and stay here 30 days and as long as you

are 18 and an illegal immigrant and don't know the language or anything about washington, d.c., politics, you can then vote. how did this happen and what will the ramifications of this be? >> that is right. you can vote, you can vote in the capital of the united states of america. if you look at the burden of proof here, i mean, how are they going to prove that they are residents? already they can vote in the district of columbia and you don't need to show a photo i.d. but show up and present your name. so how do these folks who aren't even citizens, what is their burden of proof? do they provide a photocopied utility bill? this is an absolute mess. the far left extreme leftist focused there when they should be focused on education, police, and small business. >> todd: in reality, i don't think and affect the result will matter. the democrats could put a blog

up there and it would win because d.c. is so democrats puritans is the principle of this. this is undemocratic and not the way the system is supposed to work. patrick mara, thank you for your time. >> carley: he is much more than a blog. >> todd: the next hour of "fox and friends first" starts right now. >> we begin with a fox news alert, a federal prosecutor could bring charges against hunter biden, just 32 days from the mid-term election. you're watching "fox and friends first" on friday morning, i'm carley shimkus. >> todd: and i'm todd piro. many worry joe biden's justice department is working to protect the first son. >> they could have indicted huntera long time ago, they are protecting hunter, not getting into the bobulinski information, which is right
