5:00 pm
everyone is laughing at me. they think i get a spa day every day. i think it's the slicked back hair. i apologize. i fact checked him and he was wrong. i missed the beginning of the show and i cannot rewind. if you read my text on air than i promised to dvr next time. dvr and then rewind. tucker is up against next with kanye part 2. i am waters and this is my world. good evening and welcome to "tucker carlson tonight". last night we showed you clips from the interview we did with ye previously known as kanye west. last week he was at the paris fashion week with a shirt that said white lives matter. much outrage ensued and he was denounced as insane. virtually no one asked him why he did that. so we thought before dismissing him as a mental patient it might be worth hearing his side of the
5:01 pm
story. just listen to him. we came out to la and booked a 30 minute interview with the west, which quickly morphed into a two hour interview. we are grateful that it did. it was one of the most interesting, deep and provocative conversations we have ever watched. everybody thought that. it really was fascinating. believe it or not. among many other things, west gave us his assessment of barack obama who he knows well and has known for many years, even before he became president. here's what he said. >> do you talk to obama still? >> i was obama's favorite artist. obama met with me and my mama to say that he was running for office back in 2008. and that he wanted the support. everybody was so into this idea of a black president. we were always cool.
5:02 pm
it's also like how many of us are there? you know, obama level, ye level, virgil level? just black, so brilliant that we cut through all of the lines of racism. you just can't get rid of us. nat king cole level. dave chapelle level. some plays we would have to be friends to get along. you are at that level. you are formula one lewis hamilton racecar driver. you are still driving a white car, but we are the best racecar drivers that ever existed. that was me and obama's connection. but he wasn't saying the things
5:03 pm
i was supposed to say as a rapper. our connection faded. >> you don't talk to him anymore? >> i will talk to him if i see him. but i guarantee when he sees me, i just thought that sounded cool. one idea that was in my head about three minutes ago that i really want to say that is really interesting about when companies get the blm managers. >> what is a blm manager? >> black lives matter office manager. it's basically you get a semi influential black person to become the face of a white company. that means in the design world, in the art world, they actually will pick artists that were less
5:04 pm
talented than other artists based on their influence, not based on their actual work. because everyone is vying for influence and an opinion. everyone is afraid of losing their opinion. >> with nike, wright, nike is as famous. you say nike is more famous than paypal, right? what number company do you think paypal is? >> i don't know. >> number 4. >> overall? >> overall. you know the number one is apple. i forget number 2. but number three is mcdonald's, then spacex is maybe six or seven. it's interesting in that as lit as elon musk is his previous company is still worth more than spacex.
5:05 pm
what number company do you think nike is? number 321. it is not there. to be as big a financial company as it can be. it is there an influencer because black people love nike. so nike is like a company that is redlining and gerrymandering black people. so the reason why gap wanted me to go to a gap wasn't based on we need to get our stocks up. it's like these companies when they have been around for a long time, gap ran the trade. we will never be apple. all of these american companies somehow tipped this deal where they start putting in these
5:06 pm
really awkward and weird number kind of ceos. nike has got one. the gap had one. it didn't work out. it's all of these weird operators inside of companies. even in balenciaga. they are just there for control. steve jobs talked about it. it's the most important thing you can have, control. look at me. all the money, all the influence and i have to act a complete ass to have any say so of anything that my children are doing because that group of people have control and say so over all the children inside of the clan. so that's what these companies are set up for. that's the type of ceos they are
5:07 pm
hiring. especially when the founders are out of there, they give the companies up to a bunch of people and they are all in cahoots like anyone that ever worked with me. they just look and say who is ye farming for talent that we can hire to be our new blm office manager? kind of like obama. >> you think of obama as a blm office manager? >> that's whatever. that's whatever. i think obama, just like virgil, these people were truly black to their core and truly brilliant to their core, but they went into situations thinking that they could do with the whites way as a black man. we saw what color obama's hair
5:08 pm
color was when he went in and what color it was when he went out. virgil lost all his hair. and eventually passed away. when i have techniques that are revolutionary, if i raise my voice and express myself on instagram, it's a and people can say this what you are doing is toxic. what i am saying is toxic, i've got to do everything to get it out of my body and there will be times when i see a level of oppression, parisian proper, next level france owns 80% of african banks level, colonization oppression and i will be like i am not going to let you guys kill me. but number one thing that has to
5:09 pm
really happen, say if trump ran, right? we are not just going to be black influence. we are going to be vision and creativity. we have got to rethink who we are as a species. wright now, we practice killing it ourselves every day. like murder is legal in america. >> even abortion? >> yes. >> whoever gets the position needs to listen to the vision. i didn't know i was going to rhyme when i first started. they need to have elon. they need to have me. you should start with those two and then we will get to the rest of them. you can pull and johnny and all of the living, super brilliant
5:10 pm
people. we need to analyze and not just sell out for the cash. these fortune 500 companies are just selling out for the cash. put god first and the best representation of god is the children. the children is extension of family. but the families first. there so many things. the suburbs. the train tracks being ripped up by gm just for capitalism. all these ideas that we have. we are now living in a place where we are the orphans of capitalism and we have to take a pause and rethink how we can have the most beautiful existence possible for our children, for the kids. we are all kids. we are all god's kids. we are all sons of abraham. >> as we said, this interview went almost two hours and not a moment of it was boring at least from our perspective. see if you agree, coming up next.

if you google kanye west or ye, one of the first words to appear, and in fact one of the words that appear is crazy or mentally ill or bipolar, struggling with mental illness, et cetera. the theme is the same. the guy is a nut, don't listen to him. we are suspicious of that because through history claims of mental illness were always a way to make dissident voices the quiet. don't listen, he's a lunatic. and so we asked ye directly about this, about his very public struggles with manic behavior and his hospitalization for exhaustion. he gave a remarkable answer.
5:17 pm
and a believable one. he said the life i was being forced to live was driving me crazy. i had achieved fame and fortune and yet i was still not allowed to express what i really believed. that diminished me and drove me nuts. my marriage was falling apart in those two facts were interconnected. listen to him describe the effect on him as a man, not just on his mental health, but on his dignity of being told of what he couldn't say or what he really thought. >> it drove me crazy to not be able to say that i liked trump. think about it. it's me. imagine me not being able to say what i wanted. what was the point of being famous? what was the point of having millions of people love your music? what was the point of having a voice if you can't even use your own voice and connect it to your own opinions? that's where the disconnect happens. that's where the quote, i think,
5:18 pm
wrongly diagnosed. that's where the bipolarity is. you've got something you are thinking, but you are told to you are not allowed to say it in public. well, i never actually told people that i liked trump when he was running because i was bullied by hollywood. because i stayed in hollywood and people say think about your kids and i'm trying to hold on to the marriage. so i am just biting my tongue. there is so many fathers and mothers that go to work every day and they are in a situation where they are biting their tongue because they think it will be better for their children. even me in my position, i was biting my tongue on my political opinion because i thought it would be better for my children. and now you look up and my kids
5:19 pm
are going to a school that teaches black kids complicated kwanzaa. they don't teach, even christmas itself. they don't teach it at cr canyon. what they do is take all the celebrities, the actors, the basketball players, and they throw them in one school and they indoctrinate the kids. my son is brilliant. wright now they are looking to figure out how to indoctrinate him to make him be another part of the system. i have a choir at my school. wright now we have come to a compromise. i am not finished, because i don't compromise. i came to a compromise were my kids come to my school after school and they learn choir. i sat there with my son and he said why do i need to sing? i don't even go to your school. imagine the 16-year-old version of that guy.
5:20 pm
the 26-year-old version of that guy, where the father doesn't have say so of what the kids are watching, what the kids are wearing, what the kids are eating, who the kids are hanging out with. they said we have the information needed to have a human utopia, but we are led by the least noble, most of greedy people. there is a solution that can bring happiness to so many more people. i even had this idea about the connection of big pharma to farms by having localized farms. with more localized farms, you can use less pesticides. if you have less pesticides, then you have less diseases. and have big pharma invest in the local farms and they will actually make more money.
5:21 pm
i am not one of the people that go up and say i want to stop anybody from making money. the people that make money and the powers that be, i am your true nikolai tesla. and i am not even a scientist. >> what do you think of elon musk? do you know him? >> very well. >> what is your take on him? you said that because i said tesla? >> i did. >> everyone said elon has answers. i think he's a great team player like i said about wray and utopia. in rome, they would bring all the most brilliant people and have them sit down to the point where their seats had a toilet in them. people would not even get up to use the bathroom. they would ideate about what society needed.
5:22 pm
they would invent new things and they put it up on the wall. the honda, before it was a school, is a design firm. what i would do is pull together all my favorite thinkers and we would invent. that's why i was happy that you saw two of the inventions wright there. if i had said that before you drink the coffee and some might joke and say you are drinking the kool-aid. but before you drink the coffee and before you saw the 3-d print boom. a zero waste 3-d printed boot. if i said nikolai tesla you would probably struggled that off. i think it's insane for an administration to not use a talent like elon musk more.
5:23 pm
i will eventually be president in my lifetime. but if i was in office right now, i would be calling elon every day. i would have him sleep in the white house. i would say how do we use our platform as the most influential dose that's a freudian slip. the most influential country in the world to show the rest of the world how to live a simplified life. but our country is under attack and media and industries outside of our country are doing anything to keep it as it was. everyone is just afraid. god is love. i understand i come off scary sometimes because i'm going to protect my kids, i'm going to protect my reputation. i'm going to protect my brands. there are times when you have to
5:24 pm
pull the guns out and pulled the swords out. you have to have righteous indignation as unchristian for everyone that ever said i cannot get mad because i'm a christian kirk as a question? yeah. >> i don't understand how you can. and be so successful and influential in the music business and fashion industry, the two most liberal businesses in the world as a pro-life badge. how does that work? >> i always think that whenever god allows a brilliant idea to channel through me and allows me to somehow take credit for it, i always snicker at the fact that with liberals their main tool that they use artist and influencers.
5:25 pm
but then god has the number one artist and number one influencer as a conservative. i always chuckle at that. every time i come up with something brilliant i say can you imagine if they could have indoctrinated by e? the world could have totally been totally ran into the [ bleep ] whole. there are times that the devil had one. but for me to have gone from jesus walks to your such a [ bleep ] , i love it. that's the deviation from the path. every time i love that question, it tickles me. the very thing that liberals use the most of, they don't have the best person at it. >> do you talk to other people in your business who are successful in music, industry and fashion business who
5:26 pm
secretly agree with you? >> yeah, there is a lot of fashion people. tommy hilfiger loved trunk. let me see. i've got to think of all the other trump-i'm not even going to use the term trump supporter. why don't people say hillary supporter or biden supporter? there is a lot of people. you know people in my business who love trump? businessman. people who love money. people who like being successful and not ran into the ground. those are some of the people. >> speak for a moment with west and he is very likely, in fact almost certain to tell you about his faith and belief in god. that's what drives him.
5:27 pm
he often says it and can explain it and explain why. most people probably don't talk like this. more, next.
5:28 pm
5:29 pm

5:31 pm
hi, i'm angela. i've lost 58 pounds with golo and i've kept it off. i suffer from autoimmune hypothyroid and i always thought it would be so difficult to lose weight, but with golo, it simply wasn't.
5:32 pm
mac welcome to fox news live. i am matt finn. the white house saying president biden's comments on nuclear war were meant to show that russia should not be taken lightly. the president hinted at nuclear armageddon at a fundraiser earlier in the week. u.s. security officials continue to say they have no evidence. russian president vladimir putin has no plans for a strike. bidens security team has worked for months that russia could use weapons of mass destruction in ukraine after a series of devastating losses. eric adams declared a state of emergency in response to the cities growing migrant crisis. he says over 17000 people have
5:33 pm
been bused to the city from the southern border since april of this year. i am matt finn park now back to "tucker carlson tonight". for all your headlines log on to foxnews.com. ask west any question about virtually anything and the conversation moves back to his faith in god which is clearly foundational and is driving his confirmation from a pop star to what he hopes to become is a spiritual leader. he explained it in this clip. >> what is your prayer life like? do you pray a lot? >> this is a prayer. we are in constant prayer. i thought hail mary came to me not in a catholic way but more in note to plaxico her weigh. like come with me, hail mary. what do we have here now. do you want to ride or die.
5:34 pm
have you ever heard that? it's like a negro spiritual. it's a chant. it put you in that mode. i've got a song that i made it was like a hybrid of that and led zeppelin. it's like my best song. wait till i get my money right. law, law. then you can't tell me nothing right. i can open up this stuff. i can open up tours with this song. i wanted to point out this hybrid. if you see zombie land one and zombie land two or terminator, they always make the characters a little bit better in the next generation. kim is like a hybrid.
5:35 pm
she is not just marilyn monroe. she's also a fashion person. she's also a mom. she's also an activists. she's a lawyer. she's a multibillionaire. she is hot. she's one of the most beautiful people of all time. this is a different level of videogame characters. when you see a headline that says, kim says, i will stay single forever, that's the indoctrination. because they want this person to tell all the little girls out there that they need to be single forever. i know there is definitely people watching. >> you don't think that's an organic, natural thing. that's a messaging being used to
5:36 pm
send? to make absolutely. think about the song don't talk about bruno. it's already weird. it's like talking about an uncle that did something wrong. don't talk about bruno. listen to the lyrics. it says the man of my dreams will be slightly out of my reach. i see my kids running around and i see these things. for the executives at disney that are studying everything i am doing or saying and trying to connect with 15 -year-olds. that's why instead of putting a true skater designer they put a blm manager as the head of supreme because supreme has an impact with the 15 -year-olds. for the disney guys, you might not believe in god, but god believes in you.
5:37 pm
it's not a battle you can win. don't jump anakin, i have the higher ground type of situation. you can put out all the indoctrination and moves and have the biggest media company, but why am i alive? why am i protected? why did i become the richest black man of all time? how did that happen? the more and more i lean into god and work for god, the more wins god is going to bestow on our team, on jesus team. for me to go out and state an obvious and empathetic statement in the middle of the most liberal central. that was like tiananmen square. with candace owens. we both wore the shirt at the same time.
5:38 pm
we've got some jesus soldiers out here. people say they are willing to die for it, but we live for it. we are living for the battle. what is the battle for? life itself. our children. they are killing us through the food. they are killing us through the content. they are killing us through the programming. but god is alive and he is alive in all of us. we will overcome. >> it sounds like you are hopeful for the future of the country. >> absolutely, because i have the vision for it. i understand the ecosystem. i understand how to even liberate big pharma. i have solutions for the future. i don't have the entire vision. certain things are just in front of me and they happened when they are supposed to happen. there are so many open doors.
5:39 pm
we have this concept. this was put on my heart. the idea of a monastery. it takes the different disciplines and blends them together. the dundas theory we have proper baby healthcare. i am sure when i met with gaby she had a really good term for this. so many people bring babies to the hospital. the doctor is messed up. there has been complications. to have incredible nurses. i was very specific about saying nurses instead of saying dockers too. i don't believe you need a
5:40 pm
doctor. i am not a doctor, but a nurse. it's possible to have a successful childbirth. that's the first thing we provide, shelter. we will not turn anyone away. food, clothing, high-end curriculum and vocational curriculum. farming, carpentry, automotive, computer software and hardware. it becomes a new place where someone can lay the baby on their steps and say the situation i am in, i don't have enough money for another kid. i don't have the time. i don't have the room and my house. i just don't have the resources. every day for the past two months i have been walking by this planned parenthood and thinking about stopping in.
5:41 pm
i just can't have this baby. what i am doing is saying let's put a place across the street from the planned parenthood and say this is a place that when you decide to have your child, this child can have the best opportunity at life. >> do you think society discourages parental involvement, parental influence over the children? >> i mean, society is a big term. >> it is. you said your father was discouraged from being in your household and you have been discouraged from being in your children's lives. do you think this is a thing that happens to a lot of people in america, to a lot of men? >> absolutely. and a lot of men deal with a mother, the baby mama, and the
5:42 pm
mother-in-law ganging up to take the child away. and not wanting to give the dad his say-so. there was even a moment where we were arguing about north's basketball coach. i had to say i went from not making a basketball team in eighth grade to winning championships in ninth grade by practicing every day. north likes basketball. i'm going to come and practice with her every day. i will also pick the other coaches that. with her. now that she is back playing basketball, this is the most confident person in the league. she's like dennis rodman. when north snatches the ball out of a girl twice her size and she comes over to the side, i tell
5:43 pm
her, don't let anyone take anything from you ever. don't let anyone take anything from our family. don't let anyone take our company. always protect your brothers and sisters. >> more from that interview coming up.

prop 27 sends 90% s from online sports betting to out-of-state corporations in places like new york and boston. no wonder it's so popular... out there. yeah! i can't believe those idiots are going to fall for this. 90%! hey mark, did you know california is sending us all their money? suckers. -those idiots! [ laughter ] imagine that, a whole state made up of suckers. vote no on 27. it's a terrible deal for california. we win. you lose.
5:48 pm
an amazing conversation by a man who has led an amazing life. at the center for american culture for decades. covid had an effect on his life and he has thoughts about it. here is that part of the conversation. >> did watching covid in the
5:49 pm
medical establishments response to covid over two years change your view? >> i mean, that was a piece of it. >> what did you think of that? >> specifically, i will lean into the black condition just for being a black person. we have been getting killed in hospitals for years. and don't come out. we have been getting killed with our food to start off with. we have been getting killed by police officers. every day we have been killing each other. in the streets every day. i felt like the people at the gap knew about the school shooting that matthew mcconaughey was talking about before it even happened. it was so in sync, the information. and then i heard about it on the radio driving. and i in the truman show right now? i tell candace she has got to
5:50 pm
watch the truman show. stack what do you mean the people at the gap knew about the school shooting. you mean uvalde, texas? >> i am not saying that they did, but it felt so in sync, this idea of this media rush over the 78 specific outlets that influence. >> there is a coordinated message is what you are saying? >> yeah. meanwhile, there is the same amount of kids getting killed in chicago every week, but there is no coordinated message about that. have i reached alex strong's territory yet? >> you are telling the truth. that's okay if you do. >> what i am saying is they keep on using the he's crazy, he's crazy thing and it hurts my feelings when people say that.
5:51 pm
it hurts my feelings that people can ask me, are you okay? especially like, i got an ego. someone less successful than me having the right to ask me about me like they are a [ bleep ] doctor? do you want me to put some ice on it. put some ice on my brain and that will fix it? everyone's got the solution. put some ice on it. do you know if that worked we didn't need hospitals. we would have ice dens for everything. grandma has got cancer. put some ice on the cancer. i am funnier than comedians. >> but you get that a lot. people with the kind of faux sympathy? are you okay? >> yeah. but you get that even as a famous person. go before me. what do you want? it's hard for people to even listen to you.
5:52 pm
oh my god, this is ye. did you hear what he said again? there is a lot of people that have been put in my organization where it's their job to not listen to me. >> in your own organization? >> absolutely. that kind of thing can drive you what? >> crazy. >> my resolution this year was to only talk to people who listened to me. i know, crazy concept. i know that is crazy. >> how radically did that shrink the number of people you talk to? >> not enough. that's what they do. they send the boss and. their people working here. prince had to constantly fire people i have to constantly fire people. all kinds of people sitting around doing nothing. i had 530 consultants last year. >> for your businesses? >> for my business is.
5:53 pm
we hired some guys in. this is the issue when you hire atheists. i think that's illegal to say in california, but sue me. this is the issue. god-fearing people perform for an audience of one. at the end of the day, we all know we have to answer to god. >> more from that interview coming up.
