three was murdered while visiting his son at new york. johnson walked into the lobby, pulled out a gun and started spraying bullets. officials say the suspected shooter should have been behind bars and instead he's walking free thanks to new york's bell reform law. johnson jr. was wanted for at least two states for serious crimes. his record goes back to 2005 for a violent robbery. >> why would you have somebody who has a prior criminal record and under investigation be inside of that hotel? >> murders in new york are rising from 2018 to 2021, murders in the state increased by 55%. and many law enforcement

agencies blame new york's bell reform that began in 2020 for the massive spike in crime. on thursday, president biden and governor hochul were in new york for an unrelated visit, he did not mention that innocent father who was killed. johnson jr., the suspected shooter is expect to learn of his charges when he's arraigned next week. trace. >> matt, you are following another story out of nevada of a suspect say accused of stabbing eight people on the vegas strip and killing two of them. turns out he's in the u.s. illegally. what do we know? >> reporter: that stabbing suspect is 32-year-old berrios, a guatemala national who has a criminal record here in california. police say berrios stabbed eight people near the wynn hotel around lunchtime yesterday including women dressed as show girl

authorizations mean there is not established science or there is not a consensus. not only that, you know it makes science strong when it is being debated and being questioned. not when it is dogma that is forced on somebody when it is being questioned. this is not only a country where there are supposed to be free speech but that's how the medical community was supposed to work also. when you come to a solution in the doctor's office or the examination room, you discuss something with the patients, you have various idea and they evolve overtime in a certain direction. maybe, over decades you figure something out that they then become something that's more or less unassailable. that's not true here. dr. michael ostrolholm, he said point-blank, we should have been more humbled and flexible and we should have admitted when we were wrong at the beginning and not to have some governor threatening doctors as a result.
