contrition and pivot opposed to the double down on i'm not sure that's necessarily working out for them but i'm also not convinced is necessarily a campaign killer either. howard: the woman was also texting herschel walker's current wife julie. i agree it may be the republican voters that don't care or suspicious of all of this. i think the coverage of herschel walker kinda beat me to it would be more sympathetic and this guy has years of mental health and i feel some sympathy for him in the situation if he said i made a mistake i regret it was a long time ago i wouldn't make the same choice today, instead he has a 23-year-old son christian denouncing him and i think that had a real impact when you look at the anger in some of those videos. >> the anger was very palpable definitely and when you're talking about his son christian

winning? >> i don't think that's different in the way things have been, i always tell the candidates that i work with you are voting for the person, it is not about initiative, you're voting for the person and you have to look at the person you're voting for and sometimes i'm a democrat i would say i want the democrats to have control of the house and the senate and that ways in my decision but i think when you look at herschel walker wimmer talk about the specific thing it's beyond this is something that is not that you can get past, i think he's been abusive to spouses and stuff so i think it actually may have an impact when generally i like candidates to focus on the things that really matter.

howard: issues that voters care on. >> i think you will have an impact this time. i think it has changed high think even five years ago roy moore were ten years ago, everybody says they don't believe it were doesn't matter and susan does not suggest if you by my premise, donald trump was right shooting someone on fifth avenue and that a candidate could lie or cheat or rabobank as long as his side felt his election was of paramount importance? >> you prove that point in 2016 when he survived the tape that came out as i grabbed him by the you know what he survived that that was very serious everyone thought it was the end and they dropped him a lot of republicans including house speaker paul ryan pain he would not support him anymore but i think it depends on the race in the candidate and it depends on the situation, roy moore did not win

in alabama, democrat one in that red state because that was sexual misconduct it depends on what their accused of and how serious allegations are and how good the evidence is, so far we have a check that walker signed any pay for something he's had problems with his kids, i don't think he's been accused of sexual misconduct but his former wife accused him of extreme violence which he admitted to and some polls show that could have impact we don't have any post pulling on the abortion issue at this point but it's the hypocrisy, in this instance why i disagree it's about getting the base out in order to win this election if you can depress the enthusiasm by say look at this guy who is pro-life and what a hypocrite some people might say i won't go out and vote, in that case is still matters. >> both parties have a history of minimizing or rationalizing their own candidates flaws or scandals, bill clinton many
