democrats yesterday who essentially called out the president and said, hey, joe biden stop pretending the migrant situation on our southern border is not a problem. we have the governor of new york saying that this is owned by the biden administration, the problem, and nancy pelosi said, quote, we all know we must secure our border. that's our responsibility as a country belt also must respect those seeking asylum for appropriate reasons, but understand the impact on communities. it's a new phenomenon. the answer to almost every probable is to have comprehensive immigration reform. we can't get that under the present set of circumstances. short of that, though, we'll have to address the issue. as they clearly address the issue, means give them more money to handle what joe biden is flooding the country with, and that's migrants who we've never seen in these numbers before. >> that's right. hey, steve, the democratic philosophy right now is don't believe what you see. believe what i say.

nancy pelosi's answerer to that is comprehensive immigration reform. they've spent more time talking about whipping migrants, which was a lie, than they have about babies drowning in the rio grande river than they have about rainbow fentanyl. 2200 pounds of fentanyl was seized in august alone at the border. that's enough to kill a half a billion people. it's 500 million lethal doses. now, rainbow fentanyl is 50 times more potent or lethal than heroin. i just want to put this in perspective for folks. this administration has done absolutely nothing. that's why security is the big issue going forward, whether it's safety, crime, drugs, border security, national security, economic security, housing security.

>> ainsley: kellyanne, you wrote an op-ed talking about the problems at polls and conservative voters. you said, if history is any guide, conservative and centrist votes are being under counted by many public polls. give us examples. you listed some. tell folks at home who haven't read it some examples. >> sure. thank you, ainsley. this has been going on for quite a while. people are undersampling independents and republicans in their overall samples. independents have been aligning with republicans for a while. joe biden lost them early, never got them back. they're angry about a lot of his policies and his inaction. counting centrist and conservative voters, the history of these mainstream polls and academic polls is to underappreciate, undervalue and undercount them. why? because they dismiss them in the polls because they dismiss them in life. we never deeply examine that which we deeply disdain. joe biden was winning wisconsin by seven points. no, he didn't.

trump and biden were tied in florida. no, they weren't. let me run through the senate races very typical. tom tillis in north carolina won by two points. steve danes in montana won. susan collins won maine by 8.6%. lindsey graham won by 10%. what do they have in common? number one, all united states republican senators. number two, they were outside the margin of error. there was not a single poll that showed susan collins winning her race. she won by 6.8%. that's not a squeaker, a close race. what happens afterwards, the pollster say, oopsy, we'll do better next time and they don't. it's one thing for the art and polls to be good, but the science is really important. there's no accountability in this highly unregulated industry. >> indeed, but also something we've seen over the last couple

control, i give him credit for trying to do that, but basically they were trying to regulate every time a person would cheer, say something, or clap. so i think that -- you know, i agree with that particular part, but you could see that they were trying to censor every single word. >> ainsley: yeah. they can't tell you what to say, what comes out of your mouth. that's free speech. what happened next? i understand they abruptly ended the meeting? >> yeah. you know, they -- the crowd was being a little loud. one of the members -- one of the people from the fire department just got up and said that unfortunately, you know, we're now in a fire hazard situation. the fire marshal does not want

the meeting to continue. the crowd felt, you knew this was a hot topic, knew the capacity of your building. you knew that parents were passionate about attending. you allowed all these people in. at the same time, halfway toward the meeting, you're going to ask the majority of them to leave the meeting room, go on your iphone, smartphone, and watch the meeting live. people felt very offended. that's when it started. >> ainsley: we have a list of books currently under review, but, you know, you don't just go from zero to 60. you had to get to this point, to where everyone is riled up, the room is full of parents and people are booing. what led to that? is it because you don't feel the school board is listening to you? >> yeah. well, there's a prior meeting september 12th. it was -- many parents offended.

the people that were given a chance to speak were those against book banning. they were given three minutes or more to speak their mind to the school board members. i think that really kind of agitated many of the parents who listened to the meeting afterward, that purposely some people were selected to speak who were against banning the books, and that led to a large attendance on the second meeting of october 12th. even at that meeting, again, they knew this was a hot topic, that parents would show up. this is a tight-knit community. residents here are passionate about the education of their kids. they'll attend a meeting like that. >> ainsley: dearborn one of the suburbs of detroit. it's a beautiful area. please let us know how the

>> steve: he's laughing all the way to the bank. >> carly: literally. i love it. >> steve: thank you very much. >> carly: you're welcome. >> steve: a fox news alert. 47 ago a key inflation report for september was released. consumer prices still above 8%, as you can see. currently year over year, it's 8.2%, but month over month it's .4%, higher than expected. fox news contributor brian brenberg is a business and economics university at kings college here in manhattan, and joins us right now. you know what, it's not just us. >> yeah. this is an ugly report that we just got. i mean, people already know the numbers in a sense, because they felt them last month. now we're getting the numbers. 8.2% yea year. that beat expectations. 6.6%. both numbers higher than we expected to see, steve.

they're higher than markets expected. that's going to be a problem for markets. they're going to get nervous now. that means the fed has an even harder job than they thought they had. >> this number is higher than any number we've seen since august of 1982. >> yeah. >> steve: the stock market futures are selling off. >> a sharp reversal. inflation continues to be worse than expected. i want you to pay attention to the core number, that 6.6% increase. what that means is that inflation has reached deeper and deeper into the economy. it's spread farther and going to be harder to get out. >> steve: exactly. why the dow futures are down, because the average trader is going, okay, if inflation continues to rage, that means the perv federal reserve will ho slam on the brakes again, maybe the next increase .75.

it would be better if they went for at least one point. >> that's going to start to be the discussion now. how much higher do they go potentially than .75%. there's no question now, when you're talking about november, they're going to raise .75%, but the problem with these numbers is they're stuck. they're staying above that 8% level, staying above that 6% level. these were supposed to come -- the experts told us these were going to come down, but they're stuck there, because americans have expectations now. i need to see higher wages. if these are the prices are going to increase, i need to see higher wages. that gets baked into the calculus for businesses, keeping the numbers elevated. >> steve: that's what the administration said for the longest time, brian, yeah, okay, inflation was a problem, you know, when it was transitory, but wages are going up as well. but now the inflation is outpacing the wages. every day you're losing money.

>> exactly the story that's happening right now. people are falling further and further behind. the numbers are ratifying what they're feeling here. but going forward, the issue becomes how high does the fed have to raise rates to tamp this out? what does that mean for employment? what does that mean for the economy, for jobs? the administration so badly downplayed this problem and got behind it. the fed did the same thing. now they're playing catch-up. really only the fed is playing catch-up. because the administration is spending like spending is not a problem. they're going to break things. the problem is the likelihood of the fed breaking things, overcorrecting, causing too much pain goes up, and that's really the issue right now. >> steve: because joe biden is trusting the federal reserve to get this under control. you're a professor. what grade would you give the geniuses so far?
