7:00 pm
there and another surprise guest. i don't tell you who it is but you're going to like it. that's coming up monday at 9:00 p.m. and we hope you'll be watching and for some of you in georgia, hope to see you. that's all the time we have left this evening. thank you for joining us. thank you for making the show possible. please set your dvrs so you never ever miss a episode of hannity. in the meantime let not your hearts be troubled because laura and the ingraham angle is next and they have a killer show tonight as always and you have the wrong color on again. >> laura: can i reveal the surprise on the town hall? because i know what it is. let's just reveal it, this is ridiculous to hide the surprise. >> sean: okay, go ahead. you're going to do it anyway so i can't stop you. >> laura: from a georgia peanut there's a georgia peanut costume i saw that in the makeup room in the back so it's that costume and i'm popping out of it. isn't that exciting for the big town hall? that's going to be a real thrill. >> sean: that's a surprise on
7:01 pm
top of the other surprise you don't know about. >> laura: exactly. wouldn't that be funny. >> sean: you're telling me what's on my own show that's priceless. by the way we would love to have you, please come. >> laura: all right. >> sean: we'll do both shows back-to-back. >> laura: that would be awesome. we'll take it under advisement. that sounds fun. >> sean: get out of here. >> laura: double trouble. all right hannity awesome show tonight and i am laura ingraham this is the ingraham angle from washington tonight and we begin with a midterm hail mary from the democrats. we knew it was coming right? and if there's anything we've learned it's that joe biden loves telling tall tales and over the past couple of months his white house seems to have caught the same fever at least when it comes to furnituring that reputation. >> it will take more time and resolve to bring inflation down which is again why we passed the inflation reduction act, we meaning democrats, not republicans. >> what a great day. exactly four weeks ago today i
7:02 pm
signed the inflation reduction act into law. the single most important legislation passed in the congress to combat inflation and one of the most significant laws in our nation's history in my view. >> laura: he still doesn't look like tom cruz with those glasses. joe biden makes those comments standing in the rose garden holding a party with james taylor on a day when inflation hit a worse than expected 8.3%. remember that? so today, when the september consumer inflation report showed a larger than expected increase, well, of course he was back to his old tricks. >> today's report shows though some progress. overall inflation was two % over the last three months. >> laura: here are the facts. on an annual basis, inflation is still reading 8.2 %. additionally, cpi data showed a 13% annual jump in the cost of groceries. that is staggering. a nearly 20% jump in energy. a 6% -- 6.6% increase in housing
7:03 pm
expenses. and despite all of that that biden has done to super charge your cost of living, he added one last lie. >> republican wins inflation's going to get worse. it's that simple. >> laura: it's actually sad it's so stupid. any republican in particular is he talking about? even though bide and the democrats think voters are stupid, they're not. a new cnn poll out today shows that in competitive districts, those are the ones that matter, republicans hold a five-point lead now, 48-43. that is a big deal. and in that same poll, 67% of voters in competitive districts said the economy and inflation were the driving factor in their preference. so this is all part of the desperate strategy being played in the play book operated by the democrats ahead of next month's midterms. and the second half of the prayer unfolded today during the january 6th hearing. possibility throughout, the liz
7:04 pm
cheyney led show trial fired the final arrow in the quiver. >> i am offering this resolution, that the committee direct the chairman to issue a subpoena for relevant documents and testimony under oath from donald john trump in connection with the january 6th attacks on the united states capitol. >> there are nine ayes and zero noes. >> the resolution is agreed to. >> laura: have you ever seen a group of more self-serving craven politicians than those people? i mean, honestly, have you really seen it? for 20 months, the democrats and the press, they've treated inflation as if it was kind of a distraction. not really relevant to the national conversation. while they pretended that there was this immore fuss throat democracy lurking in the shadows. of course no one ever thinks about that. here's an exercise. think of the last event that you went to, maybe a birthday party, dinner with friends, maybe after
7:05 pm
church you went to a barbecue. have you encountered a single normal person worried about our democracy? no. the answer's no. they're worried about feeding their kids, filling their tanks, the future. so let this day be really instruct i have. much like biden's celebration with james taylor on the day last month inflation numbers were released, the democrats showed their utter disdain for the american voters with today's january 6th abomination. joining me now is charlie hurt pin at the washington times and fox news contributor and harmeet dhillon civil rights attorney and chair of the republican association. charlie they keep acting like americans don't notice what their own bank statements read every month, or what their credit card bills are every month. how do you win with that? >> well, oddly, and you're
7:06 pm
exactly right, it is a hail mary pass, but in a weird way, it might actually be their best strategy, to spend all of their time talking about abortion and january 6th. now, you know, i think voters see through it, but the alternative for them is to talk about the economy, and the open boarders, and crime, and all these other issues that they're getting absolutely destroyed on in terms of what voters care about, and in terms of who those voters trust to deal with those issues that actually matter. so weirdly, you're right, it is completely a hail mary pass, but they're probably best off talking about those things, because they have done -- you know, they have no one else to blame but themselves. they control ever lever of power in washington and they have wrecked this economy and they refuse to even acknowledge that they've wrecked it. you know, let alone come up with a solution or proposal to fix any of it. >> laura: harmeet, back to the
7:07 pm
january 6th sha raid, jamie raskin couldn't point to direct evidence of trump's crimes so he tried something else. >> tons of circumstantial evidence including the things that donald trump does publicly, for example, saying to the proud boys at the first presidential debate of 2020, stand back and stand by. >> right. >> which was kind of like the message he sent to russia about hillary's e-mails, russia if you're listening find her e-mails. sometimes his unlawful orders are issued in plain sight. >> laura: harmeet, your response to that. >> well, jamy raskin should get a therapist that would be less embarrassing for him than airing these ridiculous thoughts, you know, in public. but seriously, what these people are doing beyond being stupid, i think politically instead of solving the country's problems, is really destructive to the fabric of the separation of
7:08 pm
powers, and ironically laura, it was actually a democratic president, harry truman, who laid out one of the clearest justifications for why a former president should not answer a subpoena like this. he was subpoenaed to test in front of the house on american affairs committee and he said no. the policy of separation of powers demands that even a former president not be called to answer to partisan games in a subsequent congress. and so i think -- >> laura: let me read it harmeet. you referenced it. let's actually show the viewers what it is. if the doctrine of separation of powers in the independence of the presidency is to have any validity at all it must be equally applicable to a president after his term of office is expired when is sought to be examined with any acts occurring while he is president. the doctrine would be shattered and the president, contrary to our fundamental theory of constitutional government, would become a mere arm of the legislative branch of the government if he would feel during his term of office that his every act might be subject
7:09 pm
to official inquiry and the possible distortion for political purposes. harmeet, i mean, prophetic? you bet, and on point. >> and that's a democrat. that's a democrat. and so the principle is there for both parties and if the -- first of all, to be very clear, there's no way that donald trump is going to be testifying in front of the house committee. they don't have the time to compel him. i don't know how they're going to get him served and a legal process to go forward. let's say time warp they get tonight front of the supreme court and the supreme court were forced to rule on this issue, our american respect for the various institutions of our government is already in tatters, and this is just doing further damage. i mean, if you were to look at even the members of this committee, adam kinzinger and liz cheyney, they aren't even better off than they were at the beginning of president biden's term. and so the democrats really need to close this chapter. it is apparent from the last minute hail mary aspect of this that they got nothing, and this
7:10 pm
is the dying gasp of this pathetic committee. >> laura: nicole wallace doesn't only want donald trump in chains watch this. >> why not go after mike pence. >> we haven't closed the doors on anything. there is information to be gained by the former vice-president and we continue to want to seek the truth here. >> laura: charlie, they're not closing the door on anything here. i mean, this is what they spend their nights, their days and their afternoons thinking about. >> again, i think it's because, you know, talking about the actual issues that affect the american people and the issues, you know, their record in terms of how they run government for the past two years is so appalling, they have no choice but to just talk about this stuff. and, of course, you know -- and let's also not forget, they don't care about separation of power. they don't care about, you know, the different branches. even when they have total control of the two most
7:11 pm
important branches in terms of passing legislation, they still remembering everything that they touch. >> laura: yeah, well -- >> so they've got nothing to work on, so they are going to talk about this and try to smear people. >> laura: but wait this they care about norms and the preservation of democracy and the system. bull they don't care about any of it. a wrecking ball to the whole constitution. harmeet charlie great to see both of you >> turns out quid pro joe that moniker might refer to more than just biden cashing in on his son's business keels. last week opec plus announced they were cutting their oil output by two million barrels, we covered it on the angle. apparently the supposed master of on diplomacy, joe biden, couldn't stave off that disaster. instead of attempting to reach a deal, biden threw a temper tantrum with tapper. >> do you think it's time for the u.s. to rethink its relationship for saudi arabia. >> there's going to be some consequences for what they've
7:12 pm
done with russia. >> what kind of consequences? menendez says suspend all arms deals. is that something you'd consider. >> i'm not going to get into what i'd consider and have in mind. but there there will be consequences. >> laura: saudi arabia says today they released a letter accusing the biden administration of demanding they wait a month before cutting production until after the midterm elections. saudi arabia is like we're not doing that. the biden administration attempted to pressure a foreign government to influence the outcome of the u.s. election? do you think that might be a big story? joining me now mollie hemingway editor and chief of the federalist fox news contributor as well as hogan againly former white house press secretary and director election integrity at the america first policy institute. mollie, now, wasn't the last guy impeached for something like that, meddling, colluding, something? what? >> i was not a fan of that last impeachment but by the standards set by democrats and the media,
7:13 pm
the argument was that donald trump, by asking for an investigation into the notorious corruption in ukraine that deals with some of our most powerful families, and that because we have a relationship with ukraine, this constituted a quid pro quo and a meddling in an upcoming election. well here we have a letter released that shows that president biden explicitly asked for help in this election by delaying this outcome of cutting back on oil production. he has publicly announced that he wants to persecute saudi arabia or punish them, you know, through some means, whether it's legislative or limiting arms sales, and we have this all publicly. and so by the standards set by democrats and the media, he obviously should be impeached and he obviously should be immediately convicted if you're going to be consistent. >> yeah. first of all, one of the reasons that joe biden is angry that saudi arabia is now talking to russia, well, it's because joe
7:14 pm
biden is cozying up to iran. and so it's forcing them to not work with us anymore on the first end. second of all, it's obvious from this that joe biden doesn't care about the american people's pain. he cares about the democrats political pain in the midterms that they're about to face. and when you have the problems facing the american people, it's obvious his domestic policy has hurt american families all across this country. his foreign policy is so problematic, of course we have an energy crisis, we could make all of our energy at home. everyone knows this. and if this really was vladimir putin's fault, wouldn't that be reason number one to go ahead and produce our own energy so we wouldn't have to rely on dictators and despots all over the world? it's so insane the american people see through it and he's going to pay for it in november no question. >> laura: mollie he was the foreign policy genius. during the campaign, i know we were all sitting around talking about this. this guy, look at his resume, met with world leaders, traveled
7:15 pm
the world, decades in washington, he knew these leaders, and trump was supposedly the autocrat who was going to cause world war three. >> we heard throughout the trump administration and before he was elected that we would be on the brink of nuclear war if he was elected. instead we had peace breaking out throughout the world, peace between saudi arabia and other countries a really good foreign policy. then when joe biden runs in 2020, the corporate media deny a foreign policy debate so we couldn't have the highlighting of this but they promised us joe biden would get us respected on the world stage. instead we're having trouble putting together a coalition to combat russia after its invasion of ukraine. we have the saudis upset with us as we're helping out iran. we've cut off our own energy supplies and energy production. we're on hands and knees begging for oil from dictators and saudi arabia and it's not going well. it's a complete and utter disaster and we're not even happening what's happening with china's continued rise, north
7:16 pm
korea's aggression. >> no question going to venezuela. >> laura: now hat in hand to venezuela in the prisoner swap, the timing is, but the prisoner swap is another issue. i have a question about the press, mollie and i have chewed this over before but you were white house press secretary. how much damage has the american media complex done to itself given what's happened to the country in under two years without really pushing back and demanding accountability? >> irreparable. the amount of damage the media has done to this country, not just dividing us but not doing the job and asking the questions the american people deserve answers to, it is so egregious at this point. there's a reason that the media's popularity sits somewhere between congress and covid. it's because they refuse to do their jobs and ask simple questions that anyone can ask. and, by the way, if you push back on their narrative -- i mean, look, democrats control
7:17 pm
all the levers of power influence, colleges, university, big tech, hollywood and the main stream media. they've got it all. and any threat to that, you see someone like elon musk trying to take over twitter, that threat causes -- >> laura: oh, consternation. >> it's insane. >> laura: how about that poor reporter from nbc asked fetterman and savannah guthry comes down on that reporter like she's just committed some hate crime. >> well, it was very weird to see a reporter report problems on the democrats so everyone was unnerved by it but it shows why corporate media are so unable to be trusted and no accountability for everything they get wrong whether it's the russia collusion hoax that's unraveling and no one's held accountable for all these things. >> that's the biggest problem. >> laura: being a member of the regime media means never having to say your sorry. >> exactly right. >> laura: good to see you both >> the left are so freaked out
7:18 pm
that they're losing hispanic voters they're now trying to use the racist tirade by some liberals on the ls city council and turn it against conservative latinos. this is a neat trick isn't it? the angle exposes it in moments.

we desperately need more affordable housing, but san francisco takes longer than anywhere to issue new housing permits. proposition d is the only measure that speeds up construction of affordable new homes by removing bureaucratic roadblocks. while prop e makes it nearly impossible to build more housing. and the supervisors who sponsored e know it. join me, habitat for humanity and the carpenters union in rejecting prop e and supporting prop d talk to anyone in san franciscog and they'll tell you now is not the time to make our city even more expensive by raising taxes. san francisco

♪ >> laura: the left turns on latinos, that's the focus of tonight's angle. all right, we predicted this, that the left would really turn on hispanics. >> how can the democrats be so ignorant and so smug at the same time? they literally cannot fathom that latino voters actually think for themselves. the truth is, the liberals don't really like you. they just use you and they talk down to you every single campaign season. they think you're stupid. we think you're smart. >> and like clock work it all transpired. the recent saga between -- began when tapes leaked on hispanics democrats in the la city council using racist language including the word for monkey when speaking about african americans. >> it's the black and brown on the slope and then white guys with their little black kids,

[bleep] >> laura: and now the regime media, rather than focusing on the individual liberals who used the offensive language, rather than highlighting their shameless hypocrisy, well, instead they're jumping to the conclusion that anti black sentiment is systemic among all latinos. >> the reality is, there is a lot of anti black racism that exists across all aspects of our society including within the hispanic community. >> laura: remember, the people using the racist language that we played earlier are democrats. a fact totally glossed over by minnesota regime media types including at cnn. >> there is blatant discrimination and racism but there's also this casual racism. i come from the latino community and i hear, you know, people
7:25 pm
being referred to as the little darky. these are things that we as a community don't address enough. >> laura: now, a bunch of angry liberals running city government in la using racist language and now the entire latino community needs reeducating? this is completely bizarre. yet, of course, totally predictable. democrats are incapable after all of looking themselves in the mirror and admitting that they have a problem. now, beyond issues of bigotry, it's the policies, stupid. the policies that have caused real pain and real suffering for working families, including our fastest growing demographic group voting block hispanics. all because of biden, alling because of the democrats that voted for his radical agenda. and while the media are doing their best to form this protective cocoon around him, things are so bad they can't help but do some real reporting once in a while. after all facts are stubborn things aren't they? according to an analysis by

wells fargo and the bank of reserve new york, hispanic latino americans experienced the highest inflation rate of any group of americans. and back in may reuters spoke to 35 hispanic voters in two toss-up race arizona and colorado, 20 of them said that soaring inflation is the causing them to seriously consider voting republican. >> there's a lot of talk about the e electric tort sic ate swing to the republican party. is this a swing we can expect to continue. >> it will continue. at times like these it's really economic concerns that take prior to. and that's what you're seeing is the hispanic community is dealing with, you know, high interest rates, energy costs, record high inflation and historically it's been the republican party that focuses on those economic issues. >> laura: you bet. and democrats i think they know they're in deep do do here.

a new poll out today shows that latinos support for the gop is surging over the past four years alone, up a whooping 10 points and oh boy is this making liberals angry. charles blow hard at the new york times writing, i have a theory about the future of america that i don't want to come true. that with the browning of america, white supremacy could simply be replaced by a form of light supremacy in which fairer skinned people perpetuate a modified anti blackness. modified anti blackness? really? is this the best argument they have now? so imagine, you're an hispanic entrepreneur. you know, your entire family has worked double shifts to make a better life for themselves. maybe you started a construction company or run a chain of restaurants. and you wake up one day and you see that all your people are being smeared as they were by charles blow there, just because
7:28 pm
of who you are. by democrats no less. this is craven and it's cynical and frankly, it's sick. every democrat candidate out there should be asked if he or she agrees with the charge that hispanics are cultural racist. i think this is a huge political miscalculation. because rather than figuring out how to turn around our economic decline, democrats are just turning on their own constituents. and if they continue to turn off the latino vote, and if republicans do what is necessary -- now this is a big if. but if republicans do what is necessary to make america prosperous and safe again, man, this could lead to gop dominance for decades to come. oh, and i'm going to make another prediction tonight. hispanics aren't the last group that the democrats will target out of their own political frustration. muslims may be next. >> we're not guess anybody.

we're not against homosexuality we all have our belief but this has nothing to do with that. we're here just to talk about the votes and the pornography inside these books. >> the rights of children. >> laura: obviously challenging what's happening in our schools in michigan. if muslim americans continue to challenge the trans agenda in their states, if they dare to speak out on camera, no less, show up at school board meetings, show the courage of their own convictions, they will be the next group smeared. you see where all this is going. democrats can balanceizing their own voter base. years from now the democrat party may find itself up made up of only, i don't know, women like this. >> president of the united states. >> no! >> laura: and that's the angle. joining me now is former gang member jessie holgene, the

founder of lexit. jessie, are you called now a white nationalist latino or is it light anti black racism modified racism? what is it? >> they called me that, all of that, a white -- brown supremacist, they even called me a christian nationalist. it's just totally hilarious how you were saying in your monologue that it's democrats being democrats getting caught as usual being racist, and yet they're trying to make it blaming on all latinos? it's just a total joke. like because there's been a lot of attacks against latinos and vendors over here by blacks and all that. never once did i blame all blacks or think all blacks are racist against latinos because of actions of a few people. it's just totally ridiculous and it seems like the media is trying to blow this way out of proportion. >> laura: well, former congressman carlos car bello,
7:31 pm
jessie, is still repeating debunked talking points about latino voters. watch this. >> if they really want to twin latino vote, you know, going the trump blame just isn't going to work. they're kind of maxed out there and if they actually want to win the latino vote they do have to take this system and address broad fair immigration reform and actually have to start delivering on policies that are important to a lot of latino families. >> laura: jesse, so i guess mass immigration amnesty, that's his recommendation for the republican party that's already growing in its latino support? >> yeah. and you notice how he threw trump in there because that's what they used for all those years. they were trying to paint trump he hates all latinos and he's racist, he wants to deport them. once again how they just try to use the same rhetoric, always to manipulate minorities. and i feel that's why they're doing all of this. because they see the momentum
7:32 pm
going for -- they're going to the republican and conservatives so now, like you said, now they're attacking latinos. now they're coming out with this because they see that we're waking up and we've leaving the democrat party. and you notice that -- because she talked about other races, too. even about latinos, other latinos also, and you notice how they're not saying nothing about none of the other races, but yet they're focusing on the blacks because it looks like they're trying to manipulate the black vote. >> laura: now an la times columnist -- does anyone read the la times? i guess we do. they blasted latinos as a whole writing casual racism and classism among latinos is something our community has never really confronted. it's a pathology exacerbated in the united states, as we move into new neighborhoods and fight for political power with communities that have held it longer than us and aren't quite ready to give it up. jesse, your response to that? >> it just shows that there's
7:33 pm
racism in all races. and racism should always be condemned. and that's good that she resigned, and like that. but i think more democrats should resign, too, from further racist comments, even biden for his wife calling us tacos and saying that minorities weren't smart enough to use the internet. i feel that they should all also resign for being their racist comments. >> laura: jesse, do you think this is going to work, the attacks on latinos, you basically have to reeducate the way you think? is that going to poll more latino voters into the democrat party. that seems like what their strategy is. >> no. yeah, and there was even a main latino leader that was at the town hall when they -- yesterday, and he walked off when they were saying it because they had blm and a bunch of racists out there and they were saying brown nationalists and all that so he just walked off. and it's like ridiculous what

one of the top issues is crime, arguably even more so than other states. johnson and michaels have both made it a touch stone of their campaigns and it kind of makes sense because in milwaukee, carjackings are up 29% year to date since 2020. homicides 23% and non-fatal shootings 22%. the most striking number, though, was motor vehicle thefts, spiking 119%. and you wouldn't, you know, moments before michaels event in milwaukee today, this happened. >> just across the street right here is the car where my producer was parked. you can see glass on the ground, someone threw a brick through the window. you can see the brick there, shattered the glass. another person got inside and tried to hot wire the vehicle and drive away with it. >> laura: joining me now is tim michaels republican candidate for wisconsin. governor, tim, i guess this doesn't surprise you, but it kind of surprises us a little
