potentially involved in his son's business dealings. republican senator chuck grassley to attorney general merrick garland and fbi director christopher away and as a u.s. attorney leading to hunter biden investigations has he has whistle-blower records that suggest the fbi has "significant evidence related to the potential criminality of hunter biden's ventures." grassley writes, "the documents in the fbi's possession specific details to specific conversations by nongovernment with potential criminal conduct by hunter biden. these documents also indicate that joe biden was aware of hunter biden's business arrangements and may have been involved in some of them. grassley said he obtained a summary of an fbi interview with tony bobulinski and x business associate of hunter biden which suggested joe biden was involved in a joint business venture. fox business news obtained

messages in 2020 showing joe biden met with bobulinski on the sidelines of a california conference in may 2,017th to discuss a business deal. other emails first reported by fox news in 2020 also suggest 10% of interest in a deal be held for joe biden. but the president has repeatedly denied his involvement or knowledge of his son's business dealings. meanwhile, grassley questioning whether the fpd fbi doing due diligence and is not the only republican going for oversight and to the entire biden family. listen. >> this is one of the reasons why it is important both in the house and senate because to provide the oversight, we need majority. and we have majorities in both houses of congress. the level of corruption our government has is totally unacceptable. >> the white house has recently as yesterday declined to comment when met with tony bobulinski. >> todd: we are not done with hunter though. what is going on with hunter biden and russian oligarch?

♪ ♪ >> carley: we are packed with exclusive video. fox has obtained surveillance video capturing what authorities say last cappy patino last, it her killer brian laundry seen roaming the store i was around 2:00 p.m. august 27th, 2021. she was likely murdered. officials say this is the last footage they have of gabby before her remains discovered 1970. she was 22 years old. to a wild story out of new york city. the police arresting this man for setting a restaurant on fire for messing up his order. the video shows the man doused the front of the restaurant with flammable liquid before striking a match. that man reportedly telling the police, i was very drunk. i bought chicken, i was mad and i bought a gas can and i threw it at the store to try to burn

it out. he also admitted he lit his own shoes on fire and it took the police two weeks to track him down and bring him into custody. he was released without bail at this despite criminal charges the next day. so typical for new york city, todd. >> todd: in connecticut, a family honoring to bristol officers killed in an ambush attack with blue halloween lights shine in in front of their home. alex hamzy and fired from them from behind. 26-year-old alec-year-old alec iurato critically wounded. rob and lori don't hack they both join me now. lori >> we are having a hard time. it has been difficult, but here in bristol, we have a saying

that bristol is whole hearts. and there is absolutely no doubt in our hearts and souls that bristol is all hard to. >> todd: rob, why did you decide to under these officers in this way? >> we knew one of them very well, but all three of them, they have done so much with every kid come adult and it is the least we can do to bring a place where we can gather and talk things over and kind of with each other with this tragedy that happened. >> todd: rob, you mentioned that special connection you had with officer alex hamzy. can you describe that for us? >> i'm just going to jump in really quick. all right, officer alex hamzy -- we have been connected with his family for many years. there was actually a situation two years ago on christmas eve

that we needed the police and alex was the one who showed up. it was comforting to see his smile. and we have three boys that christmas eve could have been something completely different, but alex is now known to them as the officer who always smiles. so, they have a way about them. we are going to make sure that we carry that light and share with others. >> todd: lori what do you want them to remember about these two officers and obviously as officer alec iurato recovers in the hospital, what you want them to think about when they think about these officers? >> all three of these officers, they are part of the army of angels who work for the bristol police department. when we call, they answer.

but now it is our turn to answer for them. we will be here always, and we are here to support them. it is about them. what is all about them. we stand with the blue. >> todd: rob, how much have you for these families so far, the families of these officers? >> just last night we had $9,000.02 and a half days. >> todd: and you have been... you have been using your lights for years and not just this instance but to help families struggling. you have raised if i'm not mistaken over the course of years, about $50,000. rob, why do you think your community has been so responsive for so long? >> they are just, the bristol community as a given community. they just need a place to bring it. i feel like we are a safe place for them to come and get together and donate money.

>> todd: lori, with the talk over the last couple of years of defining the police in this sort of notion that the police officers are the bad guy in so many people's minds throughout the country, what do you want those people, those misguided people, to take away from this horrific tragedy? >> oh, god, the blue has always run through our family and continues to. they are what we need. they are god's helpers. i mean, we can't live without them. what is just -- we need them. we really do. and i know that, you know, there may be some bad news because someone made the wrong choice, but all in all, these officers laid their lives on the line for people they don't even know.

[boos] >> mcmullen was accusing senator lee of casting doubt on 2020 presidential election results. karlan taught. >> carley: jackie, quite the moment there. the political commentator and we will talk about it with janelle king podcast. janelle, we are getting down to the wire. according to real clear politics average the living polling average leading by five and a half points. do you think the debate changed anything or swayed voters in one direction or the other? >> oh, absolutely. i believe the debate solidified and are undecided to. i know they are looking for the discussion to show the contrast between stacey abrams and governor kemp. i love that he went on the attack making sure he highlighted a lot of her inconsistencies. the fact is a lot of the issues that we see right now happening when it comes to crime, when it comes to inflation, when it comes to what is happening to the small businesses, a lot of it has to do with stacey abrams.

she pushed it. i remember her sending out text messages urging us to boycott businesses who would not support her efforts to remove the all-star game because of sp 202 law. guess what? we proved our bill is awesome and great for the state and will not do s disenfranchise anyone. but stacey abrams is spending, 's being met to spend spending the truth. just a few years ago. >> todd: we had a georgia voter on earlier who had this to say about stacey abrams. >> stacey abrams said the most dangerous thing for georgia. four more years of brian kemp. you know, that is the direct opposite. they don't see a need for a change. right now stacey abrams cannot catch traction no matter what she does. she cannot catch traction. >> todd: okay, that is focusing on the candidate when

it comes to trashing. historically early voting hasn't help the democratic party in this race. but nationally and specifically in georgia, we just read that line, 2 million people have already voted. half of the nation can vote early by the end of this week. does that benefit republicans, or does it benefit democrats like stacey abrams? >> i absolutely believe it benefits republicans because i don't think anyone wants to be a democrat. at this stage in the game, everyone is feeling the strain of inflation. they are feeling it at the pump. these are direct impacts on people's every single day. and i think and the end of it all, that will make the decision when you go into that booth, go when they privately and make a decision regardless of how you vote in the past. >> carley: janel, last night senator tim scott, lindsey graha m and herschel walker, they held eight town hall with sean hannity and talked about raw fail warnock voting record. take a listen to this.

>> he is voting nine, six, seven at a time and so he either is a rubber-stamp for joe biden or he has no clue what he is doing. >> one simple georgia senate seat cost all the american people nearly $4 trillion! >> carley: janelle, one of the things raphael warnock did is he pushed president biden with those $1400 stimulus checks and fast-forward today, he got it done and the checks were sent out in the mail. he is not talking about on the campaign trail, even though this was one of raw fail warnock's accomplishments. why is that? >> you know what it is interesting because i feel like i get two different raw fail warnock's. when we were listening to him and talking to the black community and listening to the radio stations primarily the community, he does talk about these things but he doesn't talk to the broad majority of voters because he knows it is a

problem, which is my frustration with him. when it comes to the 96%, here is that thing. i am hoping herschel walker goes to the senate and boats for primarily in the direction of the republican policies. that is because there is a clear difference when it comes to republicans, we urge the republicans to sustain. and we urge an agenda. in voting 96% for an agenda the left is pushing, that is typically moving in socialism, marxism and communism is an issue for me. agendas have been known to fail. we have got to support the stated policies, and that is what i am hoping we see in the senate. >> todd: of the podcast is called "let's talk about it" and we did. >> carley: thanks, janelle. spain won the senate race, taking heat for this report on health. >> it is not clear he was understanding our health. >> his campaign be allowed to

not break in their favor politically, in this case, that is what happened. yes, asking tough questions to politicians or political hopefuls, that is one of the core jobs of any journalist and exactly what this reporter did. but she is getting this pressure piled on because they don't like the answers either. >> carley: so much vitriol, ashley, for doing her job which is reporting what she saw and experienced during an interview. and also "the washington post" editorial board or warning about a bill washington, d.c., bill which would allow noncitizens to vote, "that is a bad idea and democratic leaders and as a political gift to the g.o.p. just three weeks before the midterms." in this bill we would say not just citizens but illegal immigrants who have been in washington, d.c., for 30 days. it would allow them to vote in election. the thinking there is this will

really fire up the elections. >> you know, the dems keep handing these gifts to their enemy to their political opponents. you can't understand why. it doesn't make political sense and it does not make sense constitutionally, of course and this basic notion we share common sense where you look around the world, what country in the world does such a thing? you can go from japan, you can go to europe, latin america and there is no such thing. in such cases you can't get into the country and an active member of the political society when you vote as a citizen. and these are the roles we play by whether we come from anyplace, whatever, those are the rules we agree by aunt suddenly bend the rules and this is going to work in the democrats favor is really mania, craziness, they will pay a price and a couple of weeks. >> todd: everyone acknowledging this is quite a

wearing during the height of the pandemic. let's make it clear, october. it is october. >> carley: my goodness. listen to this, scientists have created a new covid strength that has an 80% kill rate. what is the reasoning behind this research? let's ask fox news medical contributor dr. nesheiwat. dr. nesheiwat this has concerning and the daily mail said boston researchers made a hybrid virus to combine omicron with the strain that killed 80% of mice in a study. why would they do this and are you concerned about this? what should we know about this? >> hey, carley i am concerned and there is no reason to do it. as a physician who took care of thousands of patience the past two years and the trenches, i tell you this is dangerous and infuriates me. this is what they did at the boston laboratory.

what they did is took the spikes off the oma chronic virus and attached it to the original strain, the wuhan strain and created this hybrid and expose this new strain to mice. but killed 80% of them. look, carley, i get it and i understand we have to do studies and research for more cures. we have bacteria, virus, fungus and more treatments for cancers and diseases, but when it comes to covid this is gain of gain-of-function research and it should be banned. there was no room in society and we have endured enough in the last pandemic and i'm shocked this is going on but technically in boston, that is -- just a few of them in our country. we have had enough. there's been enough lives lost and enough damage to the country and to our children. they should not be tolerated whatsoever. >> carley: boston university released a strain, "first this is not gain-of-function

and we have no place for human error. if it gets out of the lab, who knows, does the current vaccines or current antivirals work? will they work against us hybrid? i don't think so. we don't know. >> carley: speaking of covid, todd read a headline about governor gavin newsom and will not lift the state of emergency in california until february 20202023. what do you make at that? >> i feel so bad for the people of california because what is the definition of an emergency? that is when the hospitals are overwhelmed and a shortage of doctors and nurses and x-ray technicians. we don't have enough beds and medications. that is clearly not the case. we have plenty of staff in the hospitals. we have plenty of beds. it is completely backwards. it is like crying wolf when it is unnecessary. again, i feel so bad there are so many restrictions when it is harmful to everyone, not just children. they need to reevaluate the
