day alone, more than 130,000 voters cast ballots. that's 85% more voters than the first day of voting in the 2018 midterms. >> bill: we're off and running. jonathan thank you so much out in atlanta. thank you. >> dana: we have james freeman of the "wall street journal." this was a story about senator grassley sending a letter. i want to read part of it. grassley letter says the documents in the fbi's possession includes details about non-government officials relevant to potential criminal conduct by hunter biden. these documents indicate that joe biden was aware of hunter biden's business arrangements and may have been involved with some of them. >> it's significant. we've seen in the e-mail evidence joe biden's claim that he never knew anything and never had anything to do with hunter's

business. it has been blown apart. also the testimony. we have a whistleblower information. the senator saying, we assume people within the fbi sharing that these documents exist, potentially incriminating. what's really interesting is it's saying that the deal with the chinese entity began in 2016. joe biden is still vice president. that's potentially huge. >> bill: there are two phrases from the statements that dana read. was aware of his business dealings, the other one may have been involved. i think the reporting, grassley suggest that there's evidence that the chinese did not make a payment until joe biden was out of office. if you can prove that, what does that mean? >> obviously, he started out saying didn't know anything about hunter's business. never dealt with it. never talked to him about it. those excuses have gone away.

now what they are left with the allegations and chinese money is among the most damming. saying, he was not vice president at the time. 2017. the agreements occurred early in 2017, eventually $5 million goes to biden related entities in august of 2017. this whistleblower information, according to senator grassley, says that while they may not have done the paperwork, while he was vice president, the basic agreement was being hatched, being negotiated. >> dana: even if that might have been between hunter and them. this is getting tangled. >> you come back to it, what is the thing they are buying. $5 million, millions from ukraine. what is being sold here? i think that is a problem if joe
