and they are freethinking women. they are not giving you talking points but speaking from the heart, speaking from the community do my community and community and out of the box of what you are supposed to say, especially the hispanic that are so impressive. so good for the g.o.p. and these women to get elected and some of the issues that they will champion because you can bet the education which is a top issue will be a top issue for these moms. >> steve: absolutely because for the most part, republicans are motivated. brian kemp running for governor in the state of georgia yesterday with us. what he did, they are trying to get out the vote. they are encouraging republican voters and anyone who will vote to vote early. they were predicting this year only 60% of the people who cast ballots will do it in person. but a quarter will be mailed. and so, get out there. if you are going to vote, plan

on voting that day, obviously. a backup plan because it is just that day. >> brian: that is right. if you are an illegal immigrant and the bus has come to new york city, for example in the numbers exceeding 20,000, most of which came from el paso but certainly from taxes, you are living good. because as of yesterday, we have ten city raid where you can choose $400 hotel room for free or you could be part of the overcrowded shelter system. but you will get a series of attractive travel guides. reason to come to this country illegally, you have over 500 beds. you have got three meals a day. you have xbox. you also, i think you have an entertainment center and a laundry surface. why wouldn't you come here illegally? >> steve: wi-fi and everything else. and south american food which is culturally appropriate. the mayor of new york is taking

heat from veterans and homeless advocates about why aren't they doing stuff like this for people who are veterans in new york city? >> brian: for the homeless because he put out a video on instagram where he was showing this off and he's gotten a lot of blowback, watch. >> the history of this country has always been tied to recommend those who are fleeing harm. that is a spirit of this country. it must be done in an organized way, and i believe that we will always be responsible as new yorkers to make sure whoever comes here, we are going to do our job. that is what we have done. i think new york has a role modeled how to effectively use our infrastructure to adjust to crises and treat people in a humane way. that is what we have done. >> rachel: remember this tent

things ever got bad, you would absolutely declare a disaster declaration. that has not happened. we have had multiple opportunities for him to do so. during the council meeting i challenged him again and again. the white house has means not to do and the congressman asked me not to do it. for me, i was kind of like him are you kidding me? we are elected to serve the people of el paso and not necessarily the politics into it. this is a federal issue. in my constituents have to pay for this bill. we are using taxpayer money from the general fund to be able to operate a facility of this whole situation in el paso. >> steve: and so, while the mayor who is a democrat in el paso because the white house picked up the phone and said, "please don't do this. don't embarrass joe biden." you know, down in texas, governor abbott has said, look, a state of emergency. no one is paying attention to

him but suddenly the democrat mayor who couldn't say it can't because of politics. >> rachel: and the people are angry about it. but the talk is about money. who was going to get the money to put up these tenants to take care of them. and mayor adams, the el paso mayor are talking about closing the border. >> brian: they are not and they don't hold the president for doing it. it is a federal job and $300 million to build a tent city in the bronx. they had to take it down for $300 billion and put it up $300,000 and put it up in randall's island. now, we will be running checks every day as if we would do not pay enough in the tax dollars. remember a month ago from mayor adams, no money left. every single department has to cut 3% out of their budget. where did they get this money? who's money are they using? what budget is being denied? what school kid is giving up services so some other illegal immigrant can get them instead? that is what it is.

combination of american conviction in the understanding of the great majority of americans that this is the right thing. they know the biblical history. they know the story of jerusalem. they know the connection of the jewish people. but frankly, the diplomacy as well. i think there has been, obviously, a weakness in that recently. and i would hold the australian government's feet to the fire on this. more importantly, i would continue to get more countries to recognize jerusalem as israel's capital because that is the truth. that is the right thing to do. >> brian: mr. prime minister if you do become prime minister and i know you are running right now with the election coming up, will you reverse this administration's decision to be neutral in the russian ukraine war? is while standing on the sidelines and not providing any material and not providing weapons or support? >> well, i will look at it. i don't think it is proper to do

is that how you stepped into your job to kind of live up to the potential that you and your brother show? >> well, all families are different. and i can tell you my father who was a world respected historian was very different from joe kennedy. i can tell you that. obviously we all differ. my brother was a hero of israel and hero of humanity. he led the most celebrated rescued rescue of all times by leading the forces in uganda in the liberating against impossible odds, 103 jewish and palace in the end territory. he died and he was the only casualty. and that event, that tragedy i thought my life would end at that point. but i somehow found the strength to turn inconsolable grief into a public service. i entered public life first to

change the attitude of the free world to international terrorism. to fight the states that sponsor it. secondly, to become israel's longest-serving prime minister. i described in my book, "this odyssey" which has a lot of stations during it even before my brother nearly died, i myself nearly died several times. i led many secret operations. i was shot at rescuing hostages from a hijacked plane. i nearly drowned in a firefighting -- a scorpion, you name it. i think there is a purpose, a hidden purpose. it is hard to say that, but i have lived a life of purpose and that is to protect the people of israel in the state of israel. but by doing so, freedom, freedom is the greatest purpose we have and the greatest purpose i have. >> brian: and you do talk about 1973 when you guys did not act ahead of time and were attacked in the yom kippur war

>> steve, thank you for having me on. a pleasure to be here. >> steve: you bet. there might be folks unfamiliar with your story but anything college and decided to drop out and start your own business. why is that? >> i didn't know what i wanted to do when i got out of high school and i got hooked on cabinetry, carpentry and chase my wife to colorado state university and got a degree. then we opened a business and right now, 300 families in colorado and heavy civil construction company and we build a lot of roads and bridges against the state of colorado. it has been a great rate business for me. a lot of great people that i work with. we employed thousands of working americans in colorado. and i'm fired up to be the next senator of colorado. we need some leadership that knows what it is like to run a business. and what it's like to sign a check. to pinch pennies and put payroll

lived. ronnie van zandt saying "free bird" in south carolina where we took off from for the last time. but two, you know, it is a sad occasion and a remembrance and not a celebration. but to kind of alleviate some of the sadness, we have a brand-new album that we are recording in nashville, tennessee, all classic. it is the ronnie van zandt tribute to his music and his band. and i'm kind of lucky enough to be one of the band members. and we have dolly parton who will sing "free bird" >> rachel: amazing. >> steve: that day 45 years ago tomorrow, the plane goes down. there were 20 some people on board, six are killed. you had a couple of broken bones. she wound up going for help. i think i read that you knocked on a door, and a guy came out

and shot you? >> yeah. you know, i was covered with blood and i looked like charles manson. so, he was only protecting his family. but he winked at me and left shoulder. and it spun me around and i yelled, plane crash with what i thought was my last breath. i was going into severe shock. he took me in the farmhouse and i called my wife and told her we had had a crash. and that she would see it on television. so... being able to do the new album, which on my website, i have never touched a computer on my life. i'm 74 years old, but i'm still able to play drums like him 30. >> steve: that is great. >> we end with "free bird" which is a new album coming out to a tribute to ronnie. dolly parton singing "free bird"

business and you experience this under the obama administration. and it came back with a biden administration. >> absolutely. it started with the obama administration and they were regulating the coal business out with extreme regulations that cost millions of dollars to compete with and then bringing the price is down so we couldn't compete. we were going to have to go into probably organization so i had to retire to get what pension i could save to get out and move to cincinnati to work for a conveyor company out there for the last six years. then things were coming right back. everything was doing good and here we go again. so now, the economy just go down the line. the economy, the gas prices, the cost of inflation, the stock market in the tank. we have people running across the border and we don't know what they are going to do. but is it just amazing that in such little time, they could do
