want to say where it is? >> greensboro, north carolina. >> where they'll make the theater >> the carolina! if i went with you >> we are out of time. studio audience... >> thank you. hello, everyone, welcome to america as late news, "fox news @ night." i'm trace gallagher in los angeles. breaking tonight, questions about president biden going m.i.a. on the tram down the campaign trail two and a half weeks out of the midterm elections. watch as a president brushes off questions from the media again this week, sometimes snapping at reporters.
9:01 pm
>> john fetterman going to appear with you today in pennsylvania. there have not been many candidates competing with you -- but not sure. there are 15 in town -- >> are there going to be more. >> there should be. it's roe v. wade, read it, man! get educated! b1 steven hilton host of "the next revolution" live as the president continues to struggle with questions shouted by reporters and instead of listing the democrats' problems, the economy, the crime, border, republican using the all-encompassing word "chaos" to describe democratic policies. in warning concerning the cost of feeding her home this winter. how much more you should expect to pay keep your family warm and that's on top of all the other prices going up. matt finn crushing numbers for us tonight plus preside president biden's student loan

rollout facing big time problems. why some experts say the program is ripe for fraud and abuse. we checked in with our common sense department how vulnerable the government is to fraud and how much money is stolen from federal programs like covid relief. the president rushing off questions about his lack of campaign trail appearances ahead of the midterm elections. kevin corke live in the nation's capital more with this. >> evening you, my friend. no basement campaigning for joe biden this fall. the president says he'll be out there. really out there. on the stump for democratic candidates all over the country as a midterms of course approach. thhe swears they want and too. >> do you think they are making a mistake? >> i've already gotten in 48 and a lot more advanced in the 20s if you know what i mean. bigger okay!
9:03 pm
there is that. if you are not quite sure about that number, 16-18, skeptical even, understandable. the past week box can confirm that biden appeared with five candidates running in the midterm election but there's nothing to compare his 15-18 request. it's easy to see why some candidates don't want him to come. after all the surging violence sweeping many of america's democrat run cities to say nothing of an comfortably high energy costs everywhere, this budget is a branch. yes, there is a number of tight races all across the country and we are talking about control of washington, hanging in the balance. so biden's plans to stump for his party could come with a heavy price tag. not the cost of travel, the cost of setting up next to a deeply unpopular president even as high anxiety reigns ele electorate.
9:04 pm
>> trace: with more on the midterm campaign trail why voters are suddenly seeing red. the host of the next revolution steve hilton. i want you to play some sounds of another reporter questioning joe biden and he still gets a little annoyed. watch this we'll get your response. because there haven't been that many candidates campaigning with you -- >> that's not true. there are 15. >> are there going to be more? >> seems to me he doesn't have the answers and is annoyed because he really needs more answers but doesn't quite grasp that year. your thoughts. >> he's got a lot to be annoyed about. not that long ago back in the summer the democrats were patting themselves on the back saying they would turn back the potential red wave, the momentum
9:05 pm
with them, abortion in the front of the election argument and so on and that has all disappeared and right of the front of the election, all the things that biden and the democrats don't want to talk about. the chaos at the border, energy costs. one of the most ridiculous of the many statements you can choose from, got into the presidential race to fight inflation. these because of the inflation, hurting people. with the rise in interest rates for the data last week showed $900 a month extra on average for people's mortgages. that's why they want to run away from them. >> it's funny because you say he bought inflation in these gas

prices, things have been going on for 5-6 years. it was $2.31 on inauguration day. you talk about the problems and republicans want to get them altogether. so instead of talking about crime and inflation and the border, republicans are talking about the word of chaos." that's the catchphrase we've noticed. "i don't recall another recent midterm when so many discrete issues were filtering through voters' minds. crime, abortion, recession, energy prices, not least joe biden, and the headline the biggest midterm of chaos as it rains." a lot of columnists are using that. >> that's what people feel. what highlights is how ridiculous the democrat argument has been going on during the trump administration --
9:07 pm
>> we need the adult back in the room. be going in the wrong direction of the basic confidence is th there. these democrats these days, they are driven much more by virtue signaling than inflammation of policy to get results for pe people. >> what do you think about the shifting dynamics of some of these voting blocks? you have the democrats thinking latinos are democrats and now it seems to be moving. we talked to a group of latino voters today and a couple of them say i think the democratic party has left me and part of these policies are crazy. i want to read this to you. this is from the african american political director of the democratic party, the former -- quoting you say "black men and brown men open to shopping at this point. we are open to being

transactional." when you see some of these races in texas, arizona, nevada you can see the latino vote is swinging, steve. your thoughts? >> this is a huge, huge shift in our politics that all have lasting effects for generations. for years democrats have complacently assumed they would lock in this vote. they talked about the coalition of the ascendant as the democrats of america changed, that favors democrats. looks like it's going the other way and the reason that so many of these people are leaving the democratic party is because the ship to the far left woke agenda they cannot stand it, that's also the reason it's going be so hard for the democrats to hang onto them because the truth about the democratic party today is that it is controlled by the far left activists and also the union leaders, all of whom sign up to this woke madness so it's going to be very difficult for them to get away from it and win those voters back. >> i would be remiss if i didn't
9:09 pm
get your take on what's happening in your home country, a little turmoil. liz truss, 44 days. what in the world, steve? >> i am an american as of last year and i got out just about anytime to escape the chaos because that's the word you'd use to describe what's going on there as well. i think the real point here is the lesson that it's not enough to have the right ideas pol politics. i think the events that precipitated this, the many budget with tax cuts and regulatory cuts, the pro-growth agenda that liz truss put out there, that was the right idea to move it forward. it's not enough to have the right idea. you need professional planning for proper implementation. persuasive communication. not just announce it on a friday and hope that everyone understands what you are trying to do. she didn't do any of those basics of proper professional political management and now she's really paid the ultimate price.
9:10 pm
>> trace: it sad, they got her out for days. the good news is they got her out 44 days and you guys in america are stuck with your president for a few more years at least. steven hilton, always great to you. thank you. meantime a warning about the constant heating of your home this winter. department of energy projects heating cost jump of 24% whether you use natural gas or heating oil and many people worried about heating assistance programs that might not keep up. >> good evening, trace. energy costs expected to be more than a decade. the energy department predicted heating bills will job 24% if you use natural gas in the u.s. heating oil is projected with 10%. some of the reasons, global energy consumption has rebounded since the start of the pandemic and the war of ukraine has

9:16 pm
the agents are coming after us. maybe that's because the federal government is a magnet for rip-off artists. the doj has thousands of cases of relief broad and filed cases against accountants, hollywood execs. even an orthodox christian monk, these are people who come from every nook and cranny of the country from boston, bozeman, beverly hills. swimming pools. covid relief is a drop in the bucket. their security frauds, defense contractor fraud, even college loan application fraud. the common sense department thinks that if you lied to get into college you probably lied to get out of paying for col college. >> coming up, remember when covid-19 was called the pandemic of the unvaccinated? here's a reminder.

basically hide behind their decision and mandate it for our school children. that's going to create a lot of trouble. big you say some states will do it, others want. one state that says they will not do it is florida, quoting the ball as long as i am kicking and screaming there will be no covid. that your decision to make as a parent. we know states like florida are going to do this by the like california will do it. their goal is florida not following the science and that's not the case. >> that's precisely the case. the cdc is basing its recommendations on, what? flawed emergency authorization. if you look at their press release, they first got off by saying they justify it by saying kids are now acting in a more risky manner. going back to school and doing things in an "pre-pandemic manner."
9:28 pm
because of this we need to prevent long covid which kids get even though they get milder diseases in adults and we have to prevent transmission but when they talk about the data that the use for the authorization they talk about the fact that this was never tested in children. these are in bivalent vaccines which cover omicron and the original variant only affects adults -- they didn't look for efficacy, they look for immune response as well as safety. had a case where there is no safety or efficacy tested with children with the current state of vaccines. >> trace: pfizer went before the european parliament and said the vaccines had never been tested preventing transmission and the world was, wasn't that the whole thing here? wasn't this the pandemic of the unvaccinated and the unvaccinated for scolded and lost their jobs, the

complaining the economy is hurting them and we need to do something about it and they are the very ones going to court over and over and over. >> trace: 8 million people submitting these applications you are talking about 90-95% which is fuzzy math. this sets up widespread fraud possibilities and everybody knows this. i want to move on if i can. speak of those are numbers from people who award the loans. >> remember the jim crow 2.0, remember that whole thing? this is early voting. look at these numbers. early voting in 2018, 225,015, as of right now 396,000 early votes. that kind of throws that whole thing about jim crow 2.0 out the window.

>> doesn't seem like voter suppression to me, doesn't seem like jim crow to me either. stacey abrams is going to lose. curious what she is going to blame it on this time. your eyes open to see what brian kemp's margin is. if it's around 7% and those numbers stay accurate, that a likely push herschel walker over without a runoff too. >> trace: is that a fair assessment? the race is closing a little bit. but you think that's enough? what's your estimation on that? >> voter suppression laws are targeting specific groups of people and we don't know yet that number is somewhere between 2018 and the 2020 turnout. i think frankly every american citizen should turn out to vote and have the ability to turn out and do it three from any obstacle to turn out. that's a good thing to see increased numbers.
9:43 pm
as far as election handicapping, we will know soon enough as it is. really close to election day. >> i want to put this on the screen because a shop full says that in women voters from september, they favor democrats by 14%. now they favor republicans by 18% and it's a 32-point waiting. that's a big swing, isaac. >> we made research specifically about found the same conclusion that when you are it's a top of mind issue and you look at happens with the electoral ballot initiative where people were overwhelming stood for a pro-choice, pro-women's right to make decisions on their own body. it was a stand-alone issue, that did not necessarily translate to how the same voters would vote
