that originates from the northwest. it will bring the potential for heavy rain and severe weather and snow on the backside. this is sunday through tuesday. we need to pay attention to the midwest, the great lakes, ohio valley, mississippi and tennessee valley, significant snow across the mountains. then we have this east coast storm to come sunday, monday, sunday, monday it will issue and gusty winds. it will not be like a big flood maker, but we will have to watch it certainly as we get into monday and tuesday for the i-95 corridors. the rain forecast, not a lot of rain but gusty winds to make things messy on the latter part of the weekend. this is tropical rosslyn in the pacific. it could become a hurricane and thin curve towards mexico this weekend and actually bring some moisture into the southwest of the planes. here is the forecast today, warming things up, quiet forecast today and tomorrow and things start to ramp up this

>> todd: are there certain situations you won't be able to respond to any more? no, i think we will still respond. it is a matter of time of when we can get there and that is unacceptable for a police department. >> todd: you are not the only one, missouri facing office shortages. an increase later on this year. what do you think is the main cause of this? >> well, i think it is a lot of things. i think pay is an issue in st. louis, but we have prosecutors in st. louis that absolutely awful. that is a huge region. people don't want to, and the policeman in the bigger cities feel the support from the elected officials. people are just not doing the job anymore because of that. >> todd: the mayor, like you said, it's not sufficient. what is your response to that? >> have been on the city police department for 17 years and this

is the worst it has ever been. we don't have the people on the street. i know she likes to compare us to cities, similar size, but they don't have the ground that we have. or the events that we have in a lot of things that we have. what she thinks she is going to get away with with 1,000 policeman is not going to do it. >> todd: how much is due to the officer sang the defund the police department has made us bigger targets. i can go get a job that pays more and i don't have to put my life on the line and even more so with people aiming for me. look at the situation in my home state of connecticut. i mean, it is horrible what you guys have gone through. >> but is absolutely awful. st. louis, they have backed off the defund the police movement, but they really happened. the mayor defining the place by just not hiring anybody or not paying anybody and not supporting them. she has changed her message but it is the same thing. it's going to mention medical
