tv The Ingraham Angle FOX News October 21, 2022 7:00pm-8:00pm PDT
7:00 pm
monday, this coming monday we'll be doing a town hall in the great state of arizona. carrie lake, blake masters, special guest, you have to tune in and find out who they are. we hope you'll join us. but unfortunately that's all the time we have left this evening. thank you for making this show possible. in the meantime, will the not your heart be troubled, have a great weekend. laura is next. see you from arizona on monday. have a good weekend. >> laura: i'm laura ingraham and this is ingraham angle from washington tonight. if you're a republican and candidate for office or you're in elected office, you have two choices in the world: number one, join the hard left or number two, you can be attacked by the hard left. that's it. those are the only options. now anyone who thinks they're going to be protected because they get invited on cnn a lot or known as anti-trump, you're
7:01 pm
diluting yourself. the radicals on the left demand total obedience -- sorry, allyship. these go with the left's overriding goal the destruction of nuclear family and the judiah family tradition. take what the left did to ben sass. [ chanting ]. >> laura: now, despite the fact that sass voted to convict former president trump in his second impeachment trial, the left mobilized to oppose his becoming the new president of the university of florida. he's still in contention. now, he spoke at a student forum on campus where about 300 protesters showed up and they called the senator homophobic
7:02 pm
and racist in between yelling from the audience of course. remember, this is not about trump. they think all republicans are evil. when ben sass is considered to be too conservative, ben sass? that tells you a lot about academia, the inmates are truly running the asylum. then there's mike pence. even after obvious efforts to distance himself from president trump since election night and of course remember his portraying himself as conservative kind of without drama. well, none of this has bought him any goodwill when he stepped into the belly of the beast this week at georgetown university. on wednesday he spoke at an event hosted by the school's institute of politics and public service and the young america's foundation. [ chanting hate has no home here
7:03 pm
r]. >> laura: despite the need for civility, there's a disgusting protest and boring but predictable staged walk out. republican nice guys finish last. ask mitt romney. remember what they did to him? we'd be remised to not mention glen youngkin. he won the virginia governship by focusing on the campaign and no failed trump controversy. in that fleece vest, sure. when he rolled up his sleeves to campaign for gop gubernatorial candidates across america, the media target it is and drew out to arizona to campaign for carrie lake, he became enemy number one. now, youngkin embraces carrie young and has them fooled with a lot more.
7:04 pm
there's a lesson here . the time for appeasement is over. and it's something that carrie lake turned into a huge plus during her primary battle. right now she's offering kind of a master class in how to put the media back on its heels. >> talk about election deniers. 150 examples of democrats denying election results. this is from joe biden and they stole the gubernatorial from georgians and stacey abrams and hillary clinton, trump is an illegitimate president. is she an election denier? it's okay for democrats to question the election but not for republicans? it's a crock of bs and every one of you knows it and we have freedom of speech and not relinquishing to fake news propaganda. >> laura: that was awesome and such a delight to watch. she'll be giving the left heart burn for years to come. we look forward to every minute.
7:05 pm
now is carrie lake, republican nominee for arizona governor. carrie, first of all, everyone knows i wasn't on your band wagon during the primary for sure, but i'm watching you take on the media and the only other person who's done it like you is desantis and trump. that's it. i mean, of everyone i've seen out there, what put the fight in your belly to do what you're doing today given all the headlines? >> oh my gosh, thank you for having me on. i'm so glad that you're having me on. i appreciate it so much, laura. i worked on the inside of the media for nearly 30 years so i understand how these messages are made. i turned the tables on them. every event we go to and draw massive media crowd and we're always reporting and recording them and they ask the question and full of agenda and narrative
7:06 pm
and cut that out and never show the people how bad they appear. we're just actually flipping the tables on them and revealing who they really are. >> laura: now, carrie, i want to play your opponent, katie hobbs latest rational for dodging you, watch. >> for me, this debate about debates is over. carrie lake is so desperate and she's scared to sit down and have an in-depth conversation and will highlight her level of inexperience, the lack of qualification to be governor. >> laura: kari, it's your inexperience and lack of qualification that makes you want to debate. your reaction? >> they said the same thing about ronald reagan and said he's an actor and reads scripts and he's a democrat. what does he know. he went onto probably be one of the greatest governors this country ever saw when governor of california and turned that state around. do we need another ronald reagan in california right now. so i don't, you know, nobody's
7:07 pm
listening to her. she's the one who's afraid to take the debate stage, and i consider, laura, a debate to be a job interview. the people of arizona, they're the hiring manager and showing up to present our case for arizona. i'm happy to do it and cleared my schedule three times to do it and we'll show up sunday for the final chance for katie to grow a spine and join me. i kind of doubt she's going to do it. >> laura: another empty chair there. kari, looks like hobbs is involved in registration fiasco and 6,000 ballots were incorrect and were mailed out and supposedly they're corrected that. but she's a secretary of state and she's talking about your experience given what she just oversaw. >> well, everything i've done in my life whether it was my first job, one of my first jobs as a janitor up into a journalist and i did and excelled at and i did it with great work ethic and hard work.
7:08 pm
she's been incompetent in every role she's played, including and most importantly a secretary of state, yeah, 6,000 ballots, the wrong ballots sent out in our primary election and gave guidance to how many ball la techs needed to go out and in pinel county, one of our pi bigt counties and she's incompetent and she's only showed up for work 19 days out of the last six months and she's had the secretary of state's office closed due to covid and -- as i'm saying, get your butt back to work, katie. nobody gets to show up 19 days in six months. >> laura: first of all, you told me something i didn't know. i love that when a guest tells me something i don't know. that is absolutely a disqualifier right there. all the things i heard about her, that's the worst. kari, we heard today that of course president trump was subpoenaed to appear before the
7:09 pm
january 6 committee after the election. they're trying to hold onto relevance as long as possible. your reaction to that? >> i'm just amazed at how they're obsess with president trump and i get asked about it on the campaign trail and he's fantastic and i'll take any question that deals with president trump and i start with don't we miss him and his policies and the economy under president trump. i tell you what, aye been on the campaign for about this and nobody asks about what the commission is up to and nobody asks about ukraine. everyone is asking about our wide open border and drugs pouring in and illegal immigration and asking about the education system that's brainwashing our children. they're concerned about the crime that's rising on the streets and that's why they're voting republican and republicans and the new republican party have the common sense ideas to the problems that we're facing. the left is pushing nonsense and we're pushing common sense.
7:10 pm
>> laura: what one thing will you do first when you get settled into office if you should win? >> before i get settled and take the oath of office and we'll issue a declaration of invasion on the boarder and we'll take back control on our board fresh the cartels that joe biden has ceded control to and we'll secure the boarder and stop the fete 2345 23 fell from going ac- fentanyl from going across the boarder and restoring faith in the elections and turning the education system around. we want to offer after tenth grade in high school, we want to offer kids the opportunity to get trade skill training, vocational training and career certification in high school so our kids are trade for the work -- to be in the work force out there. >> laura: kari, i can't wait to see how it plays out and don't talk to you before election night and we very well
7:11 pm
may, you'll win this and best of luck. keep fighting. >> thank you. >> laura: in michigan, another gubernatorial race and another rising gop star, now one is 18 points and republican tudor dixon joining me in the latest poll. what's happening here? we've had you on a bunch of times and the polls have not been with you for all those appearances. but now a change. what's happening? >> yes, thank you for having me tonight, laura. it's interesting in the state of michigan and parents are rising up and saying they want education back and they want their students to have a chance and go back to basics and reading and writing and math and they're fighting back against the woke agenda in the schools and so far that's really changing the race but also today we were just talking to detroit economic forum and we're hearing from businesses that are saying we just need to have support from government instead of having government attack us.
7:12 pm
job creators want to expand in the state of michigan. they're hearing gretchen whitmer say she's helped them. she hasn't helped them and we've lost more small businesses than any other state and we've lost 82,000 jobs and they hear what she's saying and know she's gaslighting them and they're ready to change -- turn the page on this horrible dark time in michigan's history and see michigan thrive again. >> laura: now, tudor, here's what whitmer thinks will help the slate's declining education. >> i want to go to indiana and ohio and talk to them and cultivate talent and bring them to michigan and we have full rights to make your own decisions about your health and your body. >> laura: tudor, is making michigan an abortion sanctuary state at the top of the voter's concerns?
7:13 pm
>> absolutely not. what kind of economic development plan when you have a bunch of businesses in the audience right there saying what are you going to do to help us. that's what she's offering is abortion before economic development. i know what the businesses need. they want to have reduced inflation and state .g that comes around them as a partner and they want to make sure that we have a solid infrastructure and something she promised in 2018 and had that and she had comments about the roads in michigan and i know everybody's concerned about the roads and that was your number one promise in 2018 and you haven't delivered on that. in fact, none of the promises that she made in 2018 she's delivered on. this is the kind of silly rhetoric we're hearing from her on economic development and we have a real chance to take the race back. we're two points apart and we need folks to go to tu tudordixon.com to support us and we'll thrive and have great education >> laura: the thing
7:14 pm
to the people out there watching from michigan, is this really the best you can be? i mean, why are you losing all this population to states like georgia and florida and tennessee. why? i mean, is that acceptable to the people of michigan? it can't be. we know what the crime rates are doing and none can be acceptable. i think it's an easy calculation. tudor, i have a good feeling on where this race will be going. no more lockdowns in michigan. thank you, tudor dixon, we'll be watching. >> laura: the governor's races in wisconsin and nevada will be gop pick ups and president biden today was offering a different take. >> back and forth with them ahead, us ahead, them ahead, back and forth and the polls all other the place. i think we're going to see one more shift back to our side the closing days.
7:15 pm
>> have you seen any sing action to biden in the last two and a half weeks or so. >> certainly possible but we're seeing all the movement toward the republican party and we're seeing that not just in the generic congressional ballot and leading indicator for a lot of state races that are going on and that has shifted and republicans gained four points in the generic ballot and in the past month, democrats lost about seven tenths of a percentage point and republicans have the biggest lead as they've had in the generic ballot and average since about june, middle of june and it's a late breaking rental and we'll have to see if any data comes into the contrary in the next 18 days. >> laura: is there a senate race that we should be looking at more seriously than perhaps we have in the past month or so?
7:16 pm
>> well, is on the radar screen and polls that ended to september 13 and we haven't had a poll in new hampshire in over two weeks and the movement in some of the other senate races is occurring in new hampshire as well and there's no reason to believe it's not, this swing toward the gop, that race could be very, very close. much closer than the polls are showing because again, the polls are a couple weeks old and they have maggie hassen up about five points. new hampshire is another place that underestimated republican support in the polls and the new hampshire race might be closer than people are expecting it to be right now. >> laura: does the national moten memorabilia it up you feel building and that also might have some effect in places like new hampshire; correct? >> absolutely. listen, it's not just new
7:17 pm
hampshire, we're seeing tight polls coming out of new york state with lee zeldin and tight polls out of michigan and we just had a poll come out that showed the governor's race in minnesota died so this is occurring across the country and i think in the upper midwest maybe in particular but in reses from house races to senate races all across the country, again, this is the time when people who late deciders and people who are true independents or who have been on the fence are making their decisions and they seem to be siding with the party out of power and that goes along with this fundamentals and history of how these elections go. >> laura: up next, two go p contenders in big biden districts with a chance to win. a reality check for old meghan markle, that's ahead so stay
7:22 pm
7:23 pm
won handout deadly and the acceptability center for politics and real clear politics moved the race away from safe for the democrats. it's a similar story out west. california central valley have democrat adam gray and republican john duarte locked in a tight race and biden won there in a newly drawn seat by 11 points and oregon six district and won by a whopping 14 points and republican businessmanman mike eric son are considered a toss up now. joining me now are the two candidates, john duarte and mike ericson, and mike, i'll start with you. the democrat and why is 2022 so different. >> there's no republican governor in 40 areas and we have
7:24 pm
a brand new congressional seat outside part land down to the state -- portland to the state capitol and oregonens are tired of the rapid rising crime in the city you see in the news and over and over from everybody in the district, enough is enough. voters want their state book and they're fed up with the democratic policies and liberal antipolice policies and people of the state had enough and that's what you're seeing in the polls and all of what's going on in the state. >> laura: john, your opponent adam gray speaking of democrat policies responded when he was asked about newsom's future ban of gas powered cars. check this out. >> we ought to be a lot more focused on are the near term steps to have additional new energy and electric cars in the market and how do we get more 234 the market and more with tax credits and other decisions and that's the better way to do it. >> laura: john, your response to that and that was the nice
7:25 pm
backdrop and what was that? that was wild. that's not important. what about adapt's point. adam's point. >> that's a career politician and a person that's never worked in a company or owned a company or worked in a private sector for that matter and doesn't know how to deliver a product or how difficult it is to scale up the production of electric vehicles in the short time frame and doesn't know the impossibility of some no nothing of imposing a time frame for america to convert itself from cast gas powered to electric vehicles. that's a difficult thing to do and it's unknowable and it'll come down on backs of working families in our district. this is a working family already being pressed by the high cost of living and oil and electricity and d don't know whe it'll come from and want us to provide -- shift to electric cars and folk knows how they'll
7:26 pm
be manufactured in the volumes we need at a price working families in this district can afford. they're mean and inconsiderate. >> laura: rolling blackouts and they give them comfort. mike, crime, sadly is what we think of when we think of oregon today, especially portland. your opponent had an interesting goal or priority when it comes to policing now. >> how do we hold our law enforcement accountable and all oregonens deserve to feel safe and i'd like to see demilitarization of the law enforcement. >> laura: the problem is something else. >> the city of roses and restaurants and with my opponent in the legislature and california san francisco and she was appointed to have the oregon
7:27 pm
legislature and she was voted for all kinds of police measures and now we're noticing the city of rights and it's terrible. people are upset and my opponent are really supportive measure of 110. she was out there, that's legalizing heroin, crack, cocaine and the only state in the country and only one that allows legal drugs on the streets of oregon here. that's going to change. it's been a complete mess for the law enforcement and it's been a terrible, terrible thing that they pass and changing throughout oregon. >> laura: i'm so excited about you guys. i'm giddy about what could happen with new leadership. and, john, california it's a pleasure living in california and expect the california bar and thought i'd live out there and it's an amazing state and
7:28 pm
republicans can't write it off and got to win it back and central valley to the south and all the way down to the south. has to win it. have to win it. we can't leave it behind. >> california plays a major role in american food security and irreplaceable and severe irrigation and water for cities and energy security and all this being tapped and drives a high cost of living for working families and limits their employment opportunities and we're ignoring the resources that need to -- that we need to sustain us and california has a major role to play and we're utterly failing. >> laura: all right, not calling it the left coast when folks like you guys win and make a real difference. john and mike, i'm so happy both of you are running and best of luck out there.
7:29 pm
>> yeah, thank you, laura. >> laura: john duarte for congress.com. >> laura: go ahead, hit t mike. >> we're being outspent 4-1 by nancy pelosi and overpacked and they're throwing the kitchen sink at us and joe biden was here, adam shift was here and nancy pelosi was here and they're putting every resource to try and turn this red state into a blue state. thing haves to change and my website is mike erickson for congress.org. >> laura: good luck out there, guys. there might be an issue with electric buses that kamala loves so much and another royal nightmare involving meghan markle. we have it all in friday's foleys. >> hunter biden is the most protected person in the country.
7:30 pm
>> they ignored all the evidence bauds he's the son of the president. >> i'm here to defend hunter biden. >> they were attempting to influence policy. >> objection, your honor. >> look at photographs. >> this is what i think of these photographs. >> we really have no way of knowing what was said between him and these people.
7:35 pm
>> individuals making less than $125,000 a year or households with $250,000 and 22 million already applied. a former las vegas area politician has been indicted on a murder charge in the death of an investigative journalist. robert tellus a democrat was arrested last month following the stabbing death of a journalist that wrote articles critical of him and he'll make decisions in the coming weeks whether to seek the death penalty. i'm lauren blanchard and back to the laura ingraham angle. >> laura: it's friday and that means it's time for friday foleys. for that we turn to fox news contributor raymond rollo.
7:36 pm
i understand this edition of the foleys is about come up pence. . >> she professes her love for something. >> i love ben diagrams. i really do, i love ben diagrams. >> i love the idea of exploring the unknown. known i love to cook and i come from a family of good cooks. >> i love this week when she celebrated a new love, laura. >> one of the things i'm very excited about is what we have been doing in terms of electric vehicles. i have a particular fondness for electric school buses. i love electric school buses. i really do.
7:37 pm
>> the bus, the electric bus just combusted into flames sitting in the depot and removed every electric bus from their fleet. the city had hoped to order 22 more ev buses since harris is giving them $5 billion to get rid of the gas versions. this is the result. we're gone ma see this from sea to shining sea. so, if she loves them so much, i hope kamala are ride them at home. or let them car pool. pool. >> laura: this is spontaneous combustion. the whole democrat agenda is going up in flames, is it not? that's a fitting image for all that. >> it's much like this administration. it's very difficult e it recharge and seriously expensive and probably not working very well. meghan markle is your favorite
7:38 pm
royal and the duchess of sussex another it again and using the queen's passing to give herself a variety cover story. during the interview she waxed warm about the queen and how she's mourning elizabeth's passing and taken a page from the kamala play book. >> i'm meghan and play a mean game of scramble. especially time scrabble. i've loved it for a listening time. i'm very good at jeopardy. and i love to cook. i don't know if a lot of people know that, maybe they do. >> aall love to cook, laura: >> laura: this smacks of a pr firm like a very wily publicist in la; right, ray. who's like, okay, soften your image a bit and people think she's a royal home and destroyer and soften it up. >> the latest pool of a popularity of the royals and it has she and harriet at 9% and this is your right to soften the
7:39 pm
blow from that forthcoming netflix docuseries and that'll trash a few royals and soften the blow and capture her meghan moment. >> laura: harry is peeping behind her and he appears he's in her shadow literally in pictures. it's like the de-mere. she really is regal and had to leave deal or no deal and she felt object fioed. >> megabegan markle felt clips of the role. the royal road to pursue. >> never has more ink been

7:41 pm
themselves. is >> happy to report all five of women charged with child abuse and perhaps their cell mate cans terrorize them the way they terrorized these little babies and i get children misbehave. you don't abuse them, you're an adult and it was sickening watching those poor babies. >> laura: hideous, how is that a foley? >> the foley is when you terrorize little children, you get what's coming to you. it's horrible. they were in panic and frozen with fear. by the way, i'm at the villages sunday signing the wiseman that found christmas. hope everyone comes out this sunday. >> laura: i'll be approaching you on the rascal scooter at the villages and look forward to seeing you there. raymond, good luck on the trail. why is mitch mcconnell meddling in the race and kelly is here to react. we're just nine days from the
7:42 pm
7:47 pm
>> laura: eight affiliates of the alaskaen republican party spoke out against mitch mcconnell for his entire ferns of the alaskaen contest. >> this details crazy stuff and file under what in the world is going on. imagine having a highly contested intra-party race in your state. hearing from the national party about 4,000 miles away putting their thumbs on the scales and that's exactly what alaska's gop party says is happening and they're accusing mitch mcconnell the minority to fund the campaign attack ads against challenger and kelly. the leadership fund and reported more than $7 million into the alaska contest. now, for her part, shaboka well within the margin of error and major polls and picked up
7:48 pm
endorsement of president trump and endorsed by the alaskaen rep party and demanding the minority leader butt out and calling on the kentucky senator and gop to sensor mcconnell. we request that the republican party of kentucky leadership act against senator mitch mcconnell for his inappropriate behavior and the republican candidates endorse kelly. alaska is not the first state to call out mcconnell and arizona gop did it too accusing washington of playing party favorites and they shouldn't do that they say. >> laura: senturing senate minority and this campaign season is to wild. i can't see where this goes and can't wait to see. do this again soon. >> i would love to. >> laura: great to see you, kelly. the trump-backed republican running in alaska and it's great to see you tonight and this report from kevin, his head is
7:49 pm
spinning around. what has the senate gop leadership so worried about you? what's going on? >> well, thank you for having me, laura, you're absolutely right. mitch mcconnell dumped an entire campaign worth of money into alaska and a smear ad blitz of lies against me and he's terrified that he will lose the dependable vote for dc establishment, a senator bought and bullied by washington dc as she has been the last 21 years and alaskaens are looking for a senator of the people, by the people, for the people and that terrifies mitch mcconnell and they're at this grass roots election and powered by americans for you across the country and i appreciate that. >> laura: i want to play this just so people understand how gross this is. i want to play this mcconnell funded ad against you. >> kelly was investigated for fraud. turns out she was investigated for illegally obtaining a fishing license and cited for
7:50 pm
commercial fishing illegally to make this campaign video. there's always something fishy about kelly tshibaka. >> laura: that's such a bad ad. i only play it had because it's so stupid. so now alaskaens are going to reject a candidate because of a fishing license dispute? we got trillions on the line here and people about to lose their jocks in a recession. jobs in a recession and this is what mcconnell's people are pushing out. really? >> the truth in alaska, we're inundated with the smear ads and alaskaens aren't stupid and i have an exoneration letter and the commercial fishing is so old and in alaska you need a license for commercial fishing it you get paid to go fishing and paid for your fish. in that particular instance i paid to go fishing and paid for the fish and one of those instances we're all upset about
7:51 pm
in alaska of government overreach and no other person ever including people with me that day have ever been ticketed for that and i got ticketed for running against lisa murkowski. this is what alaskaens are tired of. we don't want politicians but public servants and this is a reason i'm leading in the polls. it's looking really good and we'll have a victory in november. >> laura: you sense the wave forming and it's a populous wave. i don't know what will happen in your race, but this is the time to run. if you're going to run as a populous conservative, it's this election cycle. now, murkowski has boasted that she has no problem betraying the republican agenda. check this out. >> when the party is, is, is taking an approach or saying things that i think are just absolutely wrong, i think it's my responsibility as an alaskaen senator speaking out for alaskaens to just speak the
7:52 pm
truth. >> laura: i'm feeling some liz cheyney vibes here and has she respected the alaskaens in the u.s. senate given what she's stood for in so many votes? >> laura, i think you identified it correctly when you said murkowski has not problem betraying and says one thing to us and does the exact opposite in dc and running paid ads up here saying joe biden was coming to grab our guns when she was working with biden and mcconnell to vote for extreme gun control and red flag laws and even democrats carry guns in alaska, but this is the kind of double talk we've been getting from murkowski for a long time and supports energy industry and resources and she's the person that casts the tie breaking vote to advance the nomination of the radical environmentalist deb holland to be biden's secretary and this affects all of america and the industry and driven up our cost of gas at the pump and caused us to go from being
7:53 pm
energy dominant to being reliant on foreign adversaries for the job. including the kind my mom had as a little girl, they were once homeless and mom got a job up at the slope and that oil industry job changed everything for my family and that's what got me in the race and those jobs put food on the table and roofs over our head and that's what we're fighting for. >> laura: you bet. kelly, i'm very, very excited for this race and i cannot wait to see what happens on election night. it's a late night because of the time difference in alaska, but you go out there and keep doing what you're doing. i think you'll win this and we're with you all the way. thanks so much, kelly. oh, wow, another surprise shoutout for the ingraham angle fifth anniversary is up next. i can't wait to find out who it is. stay there. ... ...

7:59 pm
shout-outs from friends of the show so let's check out another. >> laura, it's hard to believe that this is the fifth anniversary of your show, but i can tell you that day in and day out, every chance i get, i'm amazed at how you combine humor and anger and revelations about news in a way that nobody else on television can match. you picked up something somewhere that makes you truly unique, and i think it's a great tribute to you that your audience loves you, sticks with you, looks forward to hearing from you, and i can tell you as one of your occasional guests, i always find it fascinating to be with you and look forward to another five years of your show. >> laura: newt gingrich. what a man and what a dear friend and i have no words to respond to that. that's just beyond generous. this is a show that is possible only because of our
8:00 pm
team, so those words are directed at the larger ingraham angle team and you know who you are. all right, don't forget to set your dvr for next wednesday night october 26th when the ingraham angle hits the road and heads to houston, texas, for our first retaking america town hall. you're not going to want to miss it. greg gutfeld takes it all from here. [cheers and applause] >> greg: happy friday, everybody! i'm wearing glasses because i have a sty. thought i'd get that out of the way, all right? here is the stupid infuriating, idiotic story which only means it bubbled up from academia.
