seen anything recently? what is going on? >> good morning, i have got about 600 people being processed behind me. they lineup about 10:00 at night and takes border patrol eight hours to process through the area. they walked over from the area between san luis after they have arrived by airplane, the majority of them in mexicali. >> carley: a record fentanyl bust in florida, mexico and china have strategy to get this into our country, why don't ve have a strategy to keep them out? >> i think govern governor dooc hard to secure the area, we have

>> carley: fox news alert, america got its report card and it shows covid lockdowns and remote learning erased decades of progress among studentss. >> ashley: here are the numbers. >> the nation's report card was administered in 2018 and it was taken this spring. time between, eighth grade math scores dropped by four points

and five point, largest declines reported. it was three-point loss in readings in fourth and eighth graders. general patterns show the losses are big, bigger in math than reading and bigger in more vulnerable kids, consistent with other information in post-pandemic testing. beginning of pandemic, march of 2020, school closures were practical. the closures became political with teacher unions calling shots on guidance and dr. dr. fauci is seeking to separate himself from that. >> they say fauci was responsible for closing schools, i had nothing to do, get down to the facts. >> biden officials ridiculed states like florida for

reopening schools. florida had among highest scores when you look at math compared to california, which suffered across the board. here is dr. scott jensen, from minnesota. >> minnesota used to be proud of education, we now underperform in many areas, kids with largest disparity and drop off are kids who can least afford it, kids in minority communities. >> i covered a school district out of mississippi and knowing many students did not have access to internet, they stayed open during the pandemic and never had a serious outbreak and this year earned highest improvement rates in history. >> carley: that statistic says it all, there are so many parents sending kids to private and catholic school and paying

extra money, even if they don't have it because of lockdowns and they saw this was impacting their kids. of course they did, they are the parents and they know best. thank you. and ashley, this impacted states across the board, no gain in math or reading across the board, we knew relatively early on children were less impacted by covid-19 and cools were not a main driver of spread. the cdc allowed teachers unions to rewrite pieces of the biden administration guidance, it wasn't even based on science, this was teachers union infiltrating what biden administration was doing and affecting education of children for political purposes.

>> ashley: right, and in that sound bite, usually minority communities suffer, but this was across the board and did not leave anyone out, it is a large issue for a large amount of kids. back in my hometown, they got back to school really quickly, they have had, i've heard from people that i know that have kids, they have fewer problems because of it. it is amazing to see new york and you hear parents in new jersey complain about their kids are not in a good mood and don't want to do work or online learning. a stat said 4-10 parents said their children's -- got worse, i imagine it did. it was counter intuitive and i

stephanie butler, a michigan mom of four will join me to discuss this. i want to get your initial reaction to these new numbers. >> well, i would love to say i'm surprised, but with everything going on in the world, i am not surprised by this nation's report card this morning. >> ashley: you pulled your youngest kid out of public school during the pandemic how did this affect your youngest child and are they doing better since you pulled them out >> there was two i pulled from elementary school and put them in private school. i can't even begin to explain the difference. my daughter joined cheerleading. she was getting bullied in public school. my son is learning cursive and coding in school.

it is staggering, they are getting a good education and i rather go out and break my back and give them a good education than i saw what was happening in public schools. >> ashley: i know plenty of people doing the same as you. last question, who do you think is responsible for all of this? >> well, i definitely would like to point my finger at this administration and especially the teachers unions, who have too much power these days. they do not have our children's best interest at heart. they are bringing in a staggering number, from 4 million to 2020 being 32 million they received in donations. >> ashley: for anyone joining, these are numbers, eighth grade math scores dropped by 8 points

take control of congress, things will get worse when it comes to the economy. what is your response to that? >> we can tell, every single person i talk to across western illinois, they know just two years ago, they were better off than they are today. we're smart, we can connect the dots as americans and know as derek said, this policy out of washington, d.c., one-party control and the nancy pelosi house of representatives and biden white house is costing regular americans $6000 this year for basic necessities know that the previous year and no end in sight right now. pe people understand we deserve better than we are getting now and bringing accountability to washington, d.c. is a key piece of that. as members of the military, we

joe, math score dropped by five points since this test was last administered. math score whopping 8 points reading scores 3 points all across the board. what do you have to say about this and did you see this coming? >> well, this report card is devastating and yes, we did see it coming, as as a parent of young children who lived through lockdowns, remote learning, masking our children for far too long in schools, the fact that this report card shows the largest drops ever reported in fourth and eighth grade map is shocking but not surprising. not one has apologized. inflation, crime, gas prices and the border. election day. what happened to our children in schools and keeping them out, is something that parents, voters, they have not forgotten. they are going to make their voices heard about two weeks from now, guys. >> carley: i want to get to the midterm elections, joe, we are
