subway. >> bill: a lot of that on the sidewalk every day. you can see it yourself. >> dana: crime chaos at the border, inflation, economy and voters are taking notice. republicans are now set to win a 16-seat majority in the house. that's one more than last week with 33 races still a toss-up just two weeks out from the mid-term elections. kellyanne conway a former senior advisor to president trump. president biden tried to close on a message telling other democratic staffers at the dnc the polls will turn back in their favor, the economy is on their side. they have done enough on crime and do you think the voters are going to make another pivot before the next two weeks? >> dana, no, that is joe biden speaking to a very small choir in washington, d.c. the closest he gets outside the beltway seems to be wilmington, delaware. not a swing area. that's all you need to know.
7:07 am
it took 98 consecutive polls that showed inflation, economy and crime the top issues for joe biden to even articulate it. then he just lied and denied the facts. he said inflation is under control, the cost of goods are coming down. the opposite is true. people will always go with what they see and what they know versus what a politician says. now i think when you look at the border there is another issue for joe biden. people feel insecure in their communities, homes, with the economy, everyday life is increasingly unaffordable but increasingly they are turning to the southern border and say there is such chaos and crisis why have you, our commander-in-chief not showed up a single time as president and why did you send your vice president known for the border czar for domestic issues, why did you send her one time to mcallen, texas? we heard more from biden and harris and mayorkas and others about a false report of border

about the record of the past two years. do you think they've effectively framed that yet? >> yes, they are, bill. the republicans did a smart thing with their commitment to america. a nation safe, economy strong, future free, government accountable. that's the affirmative, actionable doable agenda and they have to say listen, democrats, you may want to forget joe biden, you may not be inviting biden and harris on the campaign trail but you voted with them. you can't escape their agenda. you just voted for tin nraition reduction act and john kerry the climate czar said it was really a climate change bill. so i think republicans need to hold these democrats accountable nor the democratic party as it is configured now. they did very little to make sure kids were back in the classrooms and back on the campuses on time. and then they turned around trying to distort and pervert

our curricula. it makes no sense and that's why the parent power movement is really in full force and effect. parents have a fundamental right to say where my kids go to school and what's taught there. bill and dana that's why this is shaping up to be a really good republican night on november 8th. early voting shows that people are very enthusiastic. the polls show republicans have an 8 or 9 point enthusiasm advantage and we're now talking about tiffany smiley taking on patty murray. murray ahead by 6 at 48% of the poll. she won by 19 points six years ago. talking about house seats in california and oregon being more competitive and it is because the democratic philosophy is let's talk about abortion, trump, january 6 and climate change when the voters are telling you please start solving the economic, energy, border security, crime, cost of living and fentanyl problem in my communities. >> dana: voters want to be heard loud and clear and we'll have that in a couple of weeks. bill has a lot of studying to

7:39 am
irresponsible. that's not a decision he should make. that's a decision the parents should make with the advice of their physician for the benefit of their children. ron desantis shouldn't be making that decision. he at least ought to make the product that is lifesaving available to the children of florida and their parents along with their physician can make that decision for themselves. he wouldn't even order the product. in this case a vaccine. >> bill: we have a million more questions. only a couple more quickly. you were talking about the flights to martha's vineyard. when you travel throughout florida how do you explain how you can have more than 2 million people cross the border in the last 12 months? how do you explain upwards of 100 people apprehended at the border on the terror watch list? how could you say or argue that this administration has done well on the border? >> because people like ron desantis and most of the republicans in congress won't

feelings about this. but there is a group of people that support what the president says, clay. >> i think, dana, thanks for having me. i think the president, frankly, is absolutely insane on this issue. i don't even see it really, dana, as a democrat/republican issue. i see it as a sane and insane issue. let me take a step back from the transgender issue and point out how we treat minor children. that's part of what he was addressing in this country. you can't get a tattoo unless you are 18 or over in this country. you can't drink a beer until you are 21. many places you can't rent a car until you are 25 years old. that's because we believe that young people are often making poor choices as it pertains to their life when they are still young, minors or even 21 or even 25. yet we are going to allow

children who are 14 years old to decide to remove their genitals? that's child abuse. and again, i don't see this as political. i find it hard to believe joe biden even understands, frankly, what he is saying here when he said as part of this interview that it was immoral to stop this from happening. i disagree, dana. i have three young kids. a lot of people watching us right now do. we often don't let kids make decisions when they are young about what they are going to eat for every meal. we certainly don't let them get a driver's license in many parts of the country until they're 16, 17, 18 years old. yet we will allow them to decide to remove their genitals and argue it is immoral if you are a parent and disagree? i think it should be proper hib itded everywhere. it is not controversial, i don't understand how we have allowed minors to be having

these surgeries occur at all. i think, dana, big picture. we have 40 year high inflation. we have got unbelievable border lack of security. the worst border security we've ever had. highest crime rates in the 21st centuries. we're two weeks from an election and the white house is arguing we need 14-year-olds to be able to cut off their genitals? it is one of the most tone deaf things i've seen a president say or do. >> dana: the other thing -- the other problem in the country is education is at the bottom of where it's been and it is outrageous. we'll keep talking about the education needs, reading and math scores have to go up. they lost a lot during covid. there was a family that came to a game in kentucky and the coach wrote this. my family's america dream

so many different parts of families and i just thought this was a perfect representation of that. good for that dad. congratulations to that son for having a dad who will make time for him and props the coach. >> dana: the wife responded to the coach and hopefully there will be future games in this family's future. >> the coach called the coal miner. when he came out of the mine they talked for an hour and they'll go to a game and sit down close to the court, the dad, son, family. it is a fantastic story. >> dana: maybe that will be the next dana reads sport. you love that segment as i do. >> it's a positive story. >> dana: at least i'll understand it. >> bill: department of justice announcing charges against chinese intel officers accusing them of trying to infiltrate a
