backup. >> fetterman says he made the community safer. oz says people left the city and police endorsed him. >> part of the problem is that we have taken away the ability of police to do their jobs. that's on john fetterman. fetterman is taking a harsh position. he's undermined them at every level and taking away some of their fundings. >> oz says he would endorse president trump if he ran again and fetterman says he'll support biden. turning to new york with governor ka ka kathy hochul. zeldon hitting hochul of her cashless bail. >> i am going to suspend cashless bail because there is a crime emergency. my opponent thinks now there is a polio emergency going on but not a crime emergency.

percentage well within the margins of error. a lot of people thought it was uncomfortable to watch and here is part of that and i will get your opinion. >> i believe if my doctor believes that i am fit to serve and that's what i believe is appropriate and now with two weeks before the election, i have ran the campaign and i have been transparent and being open about the fact of where i use captioning and i believe my doctors, the real doctors that i believe and they believe that i am ready to be served. >> if you look at the whole debate in its entirety, we can play a lot more of those sound bytes, we won't because you get the gist here. you have a lot of people say i don't know why fetterman people would allow him out on that debate stage. what do you think? >> that's what we heard. this was unmitigated disaster for john fetterman. i don't remember seeing any

candidate performed worse on that kind of stage than what we witnessed tonight and look, there were low expectations going in for fetterman. the most telling moments, the kind that'll shift this race permanently came on two occasions. the first, when we refused to answer why we simply refused to release his medical record. it is a major issue. john fetterman is asking for a six-year contract to serve in the u.s. contract, he's not being transparent on the state of his health. the second moment came when fetterman could not provide any answers as to why he supports fracking when he declared not long ago that he would, quote, "never support fracking," that's a huge issue in pennsylvania. democrats are alarmed by what they witness tonight

when fetterman's first word of the debate was hello, good night, everyone. they know any pennsylvania voters on defense between oz or fetterman who may have stayed home or absolutely not vote for mr. fetterman after that performance. after the debate, john fetterman throughout the hour seemed to lose steam and his answers became more in coherent the longer the debate went on, unquote. that sums it up. trace. >> with that, i want to move onto the next one because the new york governor's debate was also tonight. let's put the power ranking up about that one, too. you have kathy hochul and lee zeldin. this is moving solid democrat to likely democrat. when you see new york starts to get a little red in there, it is nerve-racking for democrats because that could be the bell weather

for the wave. >> absolutely, trace, we saw several polls last week that showed lee zeldin is actually leading kathy hochul. this is a state andrew cuomo won with 60% of the vote, yes. we are talking of the deepest of the blue states but with crimes becoming such an overw overwhelming issue. this is something that zeldin has hammered home and it is important to new york voters. with only two weeks to go, it is a toss up with hochul having, it seems no momentum on her side. she was once up 23 points in this race and now that basically evaporated. >> you are talking about a huge lead evaporated, do you think it is all crimes or are people seeing other things in here that they don't like? >> i think it is the overall mood of the country, right?

new yorkers because they're taxed so high really feeling inflation more than anybody. that's a huge issue, gas prices are a huge issue. we mentioned crimes and we can go through the litany of issues around education and masking kids that kathy hochul supported that many parents have not forgotten about. what you are talking about, new york, i live inn inner new jersey, that was an indicator that blue states are no longer a lock for democrats given the environment around crimes. >> i want to play this, this was hillary clinton who said something fairly stunning and i will get your last comment on this. watch, joe. >> i know we are all focused on the 2022 midterm elections and they are incredibly important. we have to also look ahead because you know what? our opponents certainly are. right wing extremists
