a sad reflection on your partisanship. you need to decide what is more important, your party or your country and not even the most partisan democrat we've seen speak out so far can spin this for fetterman. we see that mosts in the main-stream media, they are mouthpiece for the democratic party and they say last night was a disaster for john fetterman. >> carley: axios says painful debate. john fetterman showing stroke effects, battle oz politico says john fetterman struggles. if one goal was to alleviate fears over his health, he did not. senator tumey says he should take time to fully recover. it wasn't just auditory issues, it was basic knowledge on where

he stands on key topics that were going to come up, he stumbled hard when it came to why did you say it one time you didn't support fracking, huge issue there. dr. oz hit hard on abortion, i don't want a national ban. he said he sportses abortion up to 38 weeks and john fetterman didn't have an answer either. >> todd: we spoke to voters in all three states, they have a vote and can help decide the election, here is what they said. >> i don't know how anybody in their right mind, in the middle like me, could possibly vote for john fetterman 6789. it was unbelievable, i feel sorry for him. >> showed guy getting pushed on to the tracks, she wants to keep people out of jail, not use bail, why? >> governor whitmer sitting on double-digit lead over tudor dixon, that has vanished and the race is virtual dead heat, i think because of what we saw

last night. look, tudor dixon was the clear winner. >> todd: the lee zeldin-hochul debate for a moment, phrase we keep coming back to when asked about crime, the topic crime. i don't know why that is so important to you. left will say it was a throwaway line, if it is in her subconscious, it shows how little she understands the problem that new york state is facing, particularly in new york city. you go outside and run the risk of getting injured or killed. we can't live in a society like that, she in her time in office has not realized is severity of the problem and that answer doesn't give you indication, if she gets four more years that she will appreciate the severity of the problem. >> carley: "new york post," give them zell, it was traditional debate, they both did a good job of explaining their position. kathy hochul has a good debate

style, calm and confident and lee zeldin hit her on the key issues, crime, covid lockdown. she tried to talk about donald trump a lot. at the end of the debate, one question i'm glad was asked because i have a lot of friends who are moms and concerned about the covid mandates and if she will mandate children get vaccinated if they go to public school and her response, she said no, not at thisim too. sounded like a good answer. not at this time? if i'm governor, i'm never do being this, if you are forced to vac nat kids you look at lee zeldin and said better of the two answers. >> todd: on covid, she said she would do it all over again when it comes to mandates, look at people fleeing new york state for florida. >> carley: tax dollars, all of above. >> todd: economy will be deciding issue for voters as gas

ever so slightly, sort of good news. how long will that take? will we get down to 5, maybe 4% and get stuck there? that is the fear a lot of economists have. you will see the president and congress maybe want to claim victory when it comes down a little bit. americans aren't getting wage increases, real wage increases are going down and they will not get that if inflation is 5%. if you think getting down to 6 is victory, you're wrong. >> todd: democrats should be scared on the fence voters will vote republican because of this, looking ahead to 2023, i'm done with this year, will christmas help that number or -- could christmas be so bad it could hurt that number and mess us up, mess the market up going into 2023? >> brian: christmas will be interesting, consumer confidence

numbers coming down, that hit spending. companies ramped up inventory and will have stuff on the shelves for buyers. if consumers remain nervous, that could mean a lot of product on the shelf, which means a lot of discountses, which will hurt companies earnings and that becomes one of the cycles that feeds into worsening recession fears everyone has. watch christmas this year. it better be a really good christmas or i think it will be bad news going into 2023. >> carley: big story in washington, along the west coast, home prices dropping at alarming rates and experts say this trend will spread nationwide and mortgage rates are rising, that is goal of the fed raising interest rateses, is this good news, bad news? >> brian: housing prices moderating is good if you want to afford a place to live. people watch rates go up and it

decision does not apply to a lot of individuals. what is going on? timothy and nicole were both fired for being unvaccinated. timothy joins us and christina and her attorney. tim, what was your reaction when you learned of this ruling? >> i thought it was great. i was excited to be back, been out of work for just about a year now. we've been struggling and haven't been getting paid obviously, difpaying the mortgage, our bills, terrible what the city is putting us through. >> todd: it is not over issue the city is fighting this, including for you, as well. you heard we won, oh, we didn't win, what was your reaction to that? >> like tim said, when weun with the lawsuit, it was emotional, huge weight lifted off our shoulders and yesterday, as well, brought hope to us and i'm sure a lot of other people.

but now understanding the city is refusing to comply is really upsetting. >> todd: let's break this down, this is what happened, this case is in supreme court, basically superior court in every other state. a judge in staten island said i'm saying this many is unconstitutional, with regard to sanitation workers he instituted back pay for them. you will need to bring your own lawsuit to get your own back pay, but the bigger issue, this court said something was unconstitutional and the new york city mayor is saying i'm not going to follow that, on what legal grounds can he do that? >> right, they are refusing to comply and this is not the first decision that ruled they are exceeding their authority and mandating vaccine for city workers, but the city refused to comply with decisions and court

orders and they're appealing, we have to fight it out. it comes down to mandates are destroying lives, people need to understand when they read headlines this is not how it is playing out. these people laid their lives on the line while we were sheltering in place, they put their lives on the line for the people of new york city and their lives are destroyed. no means of providing for their family, no health insurance, ineligible for unemployment. look at tim, he is on the virge of losing his mortgage, the city refused and he's being punished for sticking with religious convictions even when the law provides for religgios freedom, the city doesn't value religious
