and, you know, what ron johnson and my home state senator chuck grassley have found and now provided to the u.s. attorney in delaware is just, you know, shocking how much money was being given to the biden family. >> carley: if the fbi does have this information about the secretary that has links to the chinese communist party, if they have this information, how should they be handling this? it does sound corrupt and concerning in terms of national security. but is it a crime? >> you know, there is a lot of crimes involving national security that i'm sure the fbi and the u.s. attorney's office is looking at. i have always felt that in addition to sort of the just the classic political corruption that is contained in this case, there is this national security concern that i think actually elevates it to, you know, higher level of a case. because you just had too many

chinese entanglements in addition to russian and ukrainian and other entanglements to not have this start to look like hunter biden, especially as a drug user, was being exploited by intelligence agencies to gather information on his father. >> carley: i'm so sorry, todd, what sort of crimes would you be concerned about here. well, you have the run of the milbank fraud cases the way that hunter biden was transferring money, you know, within these companies and within the family. but i think you also have, you know, the foreign agent registration act where he appears to be representing, you know, companies with ties to the chinese or other government entities. you have, you know, obviously there's are picture evidence of hunter as being a drug user in possession and failing to, you know, accurately fill out the forms to purchase a handgun. there is just so many from run

of the mill kind of block and tackling to all the way to, you know, kind of this foreign influence that is the most concerning to me. >> todd: you mention the document release from grassley and johnson. great line from this release, quote: in light of your and the doj's firewall respond to our legitimate congressional oversight request and as part of our ongoing congressional investigation. we are transmitting to you over 200 pages of records righted to the biden family's connections to the chinese regime. can you think of any investigation you have ever run, matt, where you purposefully ignored critical information like this? >> well, obviously, the department of justice needed to take very seriously when members of the u.s. senate ask questions and try to make sure that information has been obtained through their investigative means. and, you know, this is one of those things that they came out with a report, johnson and grassley did that outlined a lot of the contours of the hunter biden and especially the
