sorry about that. vote for moralely. appreciate it. talk about that debate. it's amazing. this was the exact run-up -- reminds me of the president. the current president, the former vice president when he was a candidate. everyone said listen, he sits in his basement because of the pandemic has a legitimate excuse. he screws up even when reading the prompter. when he sits next to donald trump, he is going to be in trouble and the fact is he was adequate during the debates. steve: joe biden. >> brian: joe biden was. that was enough. fetterman hiding out doesn't do any public events when he does speaks for five minutes and leaves. walks away from the press. stay up for one debate one hour with closed caption. speak for 20 minutes and that was a bridge too far. >> ainsley: bless his heart, did joe biden set standard here? you can be. >> steve: hey, joe biden won. >> ainsley: joe biden won campaigning from the basement.

enough to we learn he has cognitive issues it seems because when he has any type of a press conference he can't get through it. kamala harris repeats herself over and over and then we have john fetterman who, bless his heart, had a stroke. we wish him all the best we want him to get better. but is he fit? is he fit to be a senator one of the two senators in that state? >> steve: i was talking to my doctor about it and he saw it. and we were talking about how mr. fetterman, you know, he stumbled and jumbled his own words my doctor i wrote it down he said, quote, he should be, mr. fetterman should be in a stroke rehab center not on a debate stage. if you missed it, his performance was terrible and it is pan it has panicked democrats from coast to coast. here he is tuesday night. opposite dr. oz, where he was caught flip-flopping on fracking. >> i have always supported fracking and i always believe that independence with our energy is critical and we can't be held, you know, ransom to it

somebody like russia. >> i must corrected the record -- >> just a second, mr. oz. i do want to clarify something. you are saying tonight that you support fracking. that you've always supported fracking, but there is that 2018 interview that you said, quote: i don't support fracking at all. how do you square the two? >> oh, i do support fracking, and i don't -- i don't -- i support fracking and i stand -- and i do support fracking. >> brian: the thing is well people could change their mind. you have got to admit you change your mind don't just stay i support fracking. in 2018 you didn't. i support fracking. with or without cognitive issues, the people of pennsylvania were already basically lied to now the president when he said i'm not going to touch fracking you can do what you want to do. he stopped oil and gas almost the best he could and still fighting and vilifying them to this day.

i will bring up something else. bring up barack obama, joe biden, now dave matthews. try to soften the blow and make him seem like a sim pa think the thick i figure from near on in. i say this to the people of pennsylvania. the person you hire not only are his views seemingly different than what pennsylvania is, they have got to be able to do the job. what an insult to people who are in the senate that you can do the job. you have committee hearings. you set policy, you have to answer constituents. what you hear is not what you say. that's where you have to read it. that is -- this is a job interview. and just it. if you go to a job interview and you say i had a stroke, five months ago, and you can't interact with that person, they will not hire you. >> steve: but, here's the thing. once he get the job, he will have a big staff to do all the stuff. but,. >> brian: is that okay for a voter? i'm hiring -- am i voting for a staff? >> steve: of course not. >> brian: or voting for a person? >> steve: of course not. there are no closed captioning devices in the u.s. senate.

nonetheless, even though that was so hard to watch, according to the white house. that guy, very impressive. walch. ing. .>> i'll say this, in personal conversations that the president has had with the lieutenant governor, the president has found him to be an impressive, incredibly bright and talented person who is just as capable as always to carry out his office, the duties of his office as we know he is lieutenant governor currently and has great ability and heart felt concern for the people of commonwealth and that is what the president has observed himself. that is, you know, as -- is the case before him is the case today. >> ainsley: he repeatedly failed to complete thoughts during that debate and if you are not worried about the stroke, look at his issues. he has flip flopped on fracking. that is their economy in that state. i think it's almost 70%. 68% of their state relies on this for their economy. so if you are going to -- now he is saying one thing. he said something else in 2016,

then again in 2018, he is very, very progressive. just find out about his policies, is that what pennsylvania wants? >> brian: here is dr. oz yesterday. keep in mind dr. oz never brought up his stroke. he focused on his issues, not his health. listener to what he said last night. >> the game plan was to run the clock out. and i i have been chasing down john fetterman since the general election started. to date, he has never answered a question from a voter on the campaign trail. hasn't answered a press gaggle, a group of reporters on the campaign trail. he has never, obviously, talked to me before. i met him for the first time last night. all i wanted to do was have him defend what i think are these eccentric and extremist ideas that would hurt pennsylvanians. they are certainly out of touch with pennsylvania values. and he has not been able to defend his dangerous policies. so last night i just put them out there. >> steve: so, before the debate, dr. oz was trailing mr. fetterman by 1.3% according to real clear politics it.

will be interesting to see the next poll, whether or not they do it within the two week window, but the only metric we know of is the fetterman campaign said after the debate they raised $2 million, largely on dr. oz's comments about abortion. >> ainsley: he said. >> steve: goes back to abortion. >> ainsley: dr. oz says abortion should be between woman doctors and local political leaders shouldn't be up to the country, the federal government to decide. he says he supports three exceptions, rape, incest and to protect the life of the mother and he opposes lindsey graham bill which would impose that nationwide. no abortion after 15 weeks. >> steve: dr. oz was referring to state's rights and states should decide. >> brian: the way it is being spun he wants a mayor in the operating room during the time and that's not what he said. he probably clarified last night i didn't see the whole interview. meanwhile, 11 minutes after the hour. coming up. caught on camera. a woman with a pickaxe smashes the window of a california home as the woman inside was baby-sitting her newborn

$750,000 house last year for a $2,500 house payment now can only afford a $400,000 house for the same house payment so you are winding up with less house for about the same money. >> ainsley: that's right. well, talk about the biden border crisis. you have a top republican on the house homeland security committee congressman john katko. he represents new york. he is a republican e sent a letter to the biden administration after receiving some numbers that he wasn't happy with. he is questioning the failures of how we are processing these migrants because we have tens of thousands of migrants that walk into our country. they get a letter saying you have to come back to court. but some of these are falling through the cracks. and they are not getting these letters. and they are not -- or, if they are, they are showing up to court and then their cases have been dropped. this is happening in the thousands. look at this 63,586 in fiscal year 2022. >> steve: right. the problem is, the reason they are throwing these out, is because the border protection

agents are now filing the notices to appear in time. >> ainsley: because they don't have the manpower? they are too busy? >> steve: who knows? >> steve: remember, there were some suggestions that so many people they are not even giving them notices to appear. the department of homeland security says the policy is to then -- the problem is, the people they thought they were supposed to go court. they go to court they say na, they have thrown out the case. the dhs says the priority is to give them a new notice to appear but it throws the migrant status into complete limbo. >> brian: john katko wrote a letter, an here's an excerpt from it. these reports raise alarms. questions about the roles of cbp and ice play making sure no one slips through the cracks immigration system. obviously a lot of people are slipping through the system. border patrol is remarkably under manned if they could get 15,000. i think that might in our

country's best interest. maybe slip into speech. >> ainsley: good point. >> brian: this is major issue. and remember those numbers, those stunning numbers of the september results of border crossers and the got-aways that came -- dropped 11:00 on friday night. over 200,000 came here illegally. how many are not even getting processed, period. are they being pushed by the administration to let them go or is it just a manpower thing where i can't possibly fill out all this paperwork? >> ainsley: if you are working on the border and you're completely overwhelmed and you feel abandoned by the administration or by your bosses, then, you know, you might just say if they don't care if they're coming in. then i'm not going to take the time to fill out the paper work. there might be ally with the of that, too. >> brian: are you coming back anyway. >> ainsley: if you are coming back anyway why should i sit here and do this paperwork. >> steve: somebody who represents the district on the border is myra flores. born in mexico. first member of congress born in mexico. so, what she did over the last couple of days, shoe he had

applied. you heard about it a million times, the congressional hispanic caucus, started out back in the 1970s as a bipartisan group. she actually applied because she was born in mexico. and, do you know what? they won't let her. in here she is. >> on june 14th i basement first mexican born congresswoman ever elected in congress. and that's not good enough for them. and this is showing that they are not for the hispanic community. they are just there for their political party. i don't need them. the hispanic community stunt need them. we are the real voice we are the voice of the hispanic community. and we stand for the values that we were raised with. god, family, and hard work. that is what we are all about. >> ainsley: she won in a democratic district, too. >> steve: she did. here's the thing the congressional hispanic caucus only lets democrats in. back in the 1970s it was bipartisan and then in the 90's there was a split between the

city. any time you see somebody on the street like the guy pushing the blower out there. you have got to have a double take. you as a mother are very interested in what is happening in america's schools and particularly here in new york and you don't like it. >> no, i don't like the direction that our schools have been going. the last couple of years of de blasio has been really trying on on new york city families. is he really taken down the standards. and i think going into covid we were already in a bad place and then the last two years, two and a half years of the chaos, with the pandemic, with the masking of kids, with the impending parents are worried about vaccine mandates. these are all things that are on parents' mind as they are thinking of who to choose for our next governor. >> steve: sure. i'm sure you have seen that nation's report card that came out.
