11th hour of the midterm campaign season. democrats on capitol hill led by the house speaker nancy pelosi apparently have finally figured out that climate change, crt, transgender education for school aged children and abortion aren't exactly high on the list of most important issues for a number of americans. it is still the economy, stupid. along with inflation. and crime in particular. and in a letter to colleagues, pelosi noted the importance of emphasizing the democrats people over politics agenda. quote: as democrats, we believe that every american deserves to live in a safe community necessary foundation on which americans can thrive we have emphasized respect for those who serve and for those, well, whom they serve. with accountment and transparency. that is why our house majority has taken strong action to honor our men and women in blue with

the resources they need to prevent crime while building stronger, healthier relationships between law enforcement and those they serve. well, well, well. the letter also claims that democrats have emphasized respect for law enforcement. each as former attorney general bill barr argues rising crime rates are a policy choice by progressives. he wrote this in an opinion piece: the violent crime surge was preventable. this is in the "wall street journal" by the way. it was caused by progressive politicians reverting to the same reckless revolving door policies during the 1960s and 70s produced the greatest tsunami of violent crime in american history. we reversed that earlier crime wave with the tough anticrime measures adopted during the reagan-bush era. we can stop this one as well. meanwhile, in new york, governor kathy hochul is addressing, you guessed it, growing concerns about crime. even as 8 innocent bystanders in

transit up 41. robbery 33. felony assault up 1. burglary 29. what is down is shootings and murder murder good news is morman mo people surviving being shot. >> ainsley: target on their back. innocent bystanders shot in the city all in one month as kevin was mentioning. i believe all of them survived but they are all just randomly shot like a 16-year-old hangings out after school sitting on a swing in the park. and a bullet, stray bullet flies and hit her. grandmother walking home from the grocery store. she looks down and has blood come down from her leg. she was shot. a retired cop. he is, i believe, 60 years old. walking to this new job. and then he was caught up in the middle of gang shooting. and a 14-year-old boy was shot in the ankle. and if you talk to people here in new york. i talk to one person who -- i don't know if she is a republican or a democrat. she said if lee zeldin does not win, they are really considering moving. another person wrote me and said we definitely are thinking about moving if zeldin doesn't win

because you have to think about that. when you are a mom and you are picking your child up from school or walking to the grocery store with your child. >> brian: you don't want to get shot. >> ainsley: don't want a stray bullet. we have to worry about that now. today i was driving to work and subway stop right here and i saw this beautiful young lady walking down with, i guess, her boyfriend and they were walking down the sunway and i wanted to roll down my window and say do you want to jump in the car with me i will take you where you are going. i didn't do that i did say a prayer for them because this is on our mind. >> steve: about a half an hour ago we had a panel with three lifelong democrats who are going to vote for lee zeldin the republican in the upcoming election because of education and crime. and one of the women we spoke to, madeline, and you are about to hear from her. and two others, her son is a victim of random violence. murder. he was -- he was stabbed. and the final trial is going to happen today. anyway, here they are, three democrats from new york explaining why they, this time,

that's paid off. after all the democrats and the democratic president listened to them. they said screw the kids. scene everything closed. my teachers in some cases want to be able to teach on vacation. and we are going to keep those six feet apart. therefore, we can't have them back. in the teachers unions got what they wanted from democrats. why would they get anything else? other thing going back to lee zeldin. lee zeldin says i will work with the democrats in the city. i will work with the mayor in the city. smart. you could be as conservative as you want. but in a blue state to be successful, you have to show you can work with democrats. here, we're showing democrats have already jumped into lee zeldin's camp. at least 8 major ones. lara trump earlier today, who used to live in new york city, talked about this union not being union support not being a surprise. >> it is absolutely shameful that in the united states of america we are failing our children and failing our future generation in this way. those scores are horrifying. i think, to every american. whether you have kids in the

you. good morning. >> good morning. >> ainsley: first of all, who wants to tell the story of why you decided to go out and buy all these acres of land and search for gold? >> it has been a family tradition. we heard this story from our father about all these find and how he covered it up. and since we were little kids, we tramped over all these mining claims and we became mining engineers and john behind me is probably the best miner of us all. >> ainsley: awe. >> and we decided to pursue if we could get ahold of these mining claims and finally by god's grace we did. and that opened up the whole different chapter in our lives. so, that's how we acquired the property. >> ainsley: john, i know that y'all returned to montana to bear gulch and you wanted to buy

this land where you all grew up because you had heard these stories of the gold. and you put all your money together. barely almost everything that you had, and you wanted to buy this property. you quit your minuti mining andd from mining and second season on fox. what can we expect this season? >> >> lot of hard work. >> yeah. >> there is nothing easy. took us a long time to get squared around to get these claims and in the meanwhile, we got old. and that work is very difficult work for a bunch of kent tri genarians. >> i watch the show and y'all do these explosions i am so hoping you will find so much gold because we all want that for y'all. what have you found? have you found any gold? >> well, we are excited about what we found and people are just going to have to watch the season.
