time we have left this evening . thank you for being with us.ible thank you for making thi.s showt possible. r newsdon't forget to do this ay time, all the time possible .com happyhannity. .com.t be la the meantime, let not your heart be trouble is next to mangle. we'll see you back inh us. new york tomorrow night. thanks . i'm laura ingraham and this is ingram angle with a fox news alert from washington. tonight. elon musk has officially taken control of twitter and the house cleaning has already begun in moments, we're going to bring you a live report about who is already locked out of that san francisco headquarters and why. but first, who has the bad candidates? now, that's the focus of tonight's angle. for months, the regime media worked hard to build the narrative that the gop had
12:01 am
lost its mojo, that they've blown a historic midterm opportunity, that all because their primary winners were just terrible. >> you do have republican nominating, shall we say, flawed candidates. >> herschel walker in georgia, j.d. vance in in in ohio, dr. oz in in pennsylvania. >> what looked like a wipeout for democrats in the fall is maybe not going to be so bad because of the candidates. republicans are nominating. >> walker can lose ause, can lose, johnson can lose their bad candidates so smug and so wrong. >> liberal super pacs even helped boost the so-called election, denying republicans the primaries with the thought that they'd be easier to defeat in the general elections. well, even our own senate minority leader joined the pig pile against his own party, trying to tamp down his party's expectations by blaming the populace.
12:02 am
>> the maga folks. there's probably a greater likelihood the house flips than some senate races are just different or statewide. candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome. >> he's a barrel of laughs, isn't he? well, just mcconnell is wrong about voting for biden. the so-called infrastructure bill . he was wrong to imply that republicans just chose lousy candidates. now, we all know the gop establishment has been exposed for their mistakes on things like china, trade and these endless wars. and i think it kind of makes them nervous when new faces appear on the scene who just aren't beholden to the old guard and who aren't afraid of them, afraid to challenge them in the hated trump for the same reason. well, thank god we have a system where the people, not washington dinosaurs, get to choose who best to represent them every election cycle. but if we're talking candidates and we are talking weak
12:03 am
candidates, the party that has them in spades is the democrat party. i mean, governor jeb pritzker in illinois, please, who in his right mind can believe that he should win reelection? what has he actually done for the state other than preside over a huge population loss? i mean, for the wrecking education in the state by ordering schools to stay closed throughout the state through covid. i wonder, so many families left. illinois public schools, meanwhile, arizonans have a chance to elect kerry lake as their governor . she's dynamic, she's bold, and she's vowing to tackle the border and crime problems. but her democrat challenger, katie hobbs, oh, my . she's horrible in every way. i've continue to meet with community leaders and focus on how we can not just build a campaign that's inclusive, but make sure that our that our government at every level of the administration reflects
12:04 am
the diversity of the state of arizona. >> oh, my goodness. she's just deadly boring and uninspiring. but, well, no more so than the democrats. senator maggie hassan in new hampshire, who debated her challenger, don bolduc, this week. now, instead, of focusing on the fact that we could have heating oil rationing in new england this winter, she went back to twenty, twenty . >> here's the thing about election deniers right? he is working and has been working to conceal how extreme he is done. bolduc can ignore where most granite staters are on those issues. that i just talked about. right, because he thinks he doesn't need to accept election results. >> first of all, stop saying. >> right. oh, my gosh, painful. and then in a category by yourself, oregon's left wing loon, tina kotek, who's running for governor there, portland in particular, in addition to making measure 110 work, we
12:05 am
need a meth stabilization center in portland. we need a place for cops to take folks, not the emergency departments. when they are in a meth related psychosis. >> meth stabilization centers that portland needs law and order, not ways to make drug use more convenient and more comfortable. for people. >> come on , tina. now, the democrats are so worried about the seat that they sent chief princess running scared elizabeth warren out west to rally the birkenstock stock troops there. but even she couldn't spin it, warning voters that oregon is dangerously close to flipping red for the first time. in forty years. now, folks want us . her tribe should be nervous because coatex challenger christine dreazen is just what the state needs. calm, cool and tough on crime. tina kotek is the original defined the police candidate. she did not support police even when rioters were attacking a police station. it's stunning to me that she
12:06 am
would talk now like she supports law enforcement. no, of course she doesn't. i'm drasin is a no nonsense republican , maybe not as conservative as i'd like, but this is , after all, the pacific northwest. got to be realistic again. which party here has the bad candidates again? >> now, as for that georgia matchup between liberal rafaelle warnock and herschel walker, the democrats may wish that they hadn't revved up the smear machine because if walker doesn't flinch and if the hits keep coming and he keeps going and then he goes on to win, he'll be a solid vote for sensible measures. such as closing the southern border and opening new oil and gas pipelines. now, with the nastiness, all of it that's been thrown at him, walker will be battle tested for what the swamp will bring him. and last but not least, i could go on and on. let's not forget the worst of them all. uncle john fetterman in pennsylvania.
12:07 am
hi. good night, everybody. i , i do support fracking and i don't i don't i support fracking. and i stand and i do support fracking. i don't ever recall in the statue of liberty did they say, you know, take our tired, huddled masses and put them on a bus, let's say, yeah, he got is pennsylvania house or federer in his own inlays? >> a dollar. mr. chairman, we have to continue on amphetamines. debate performance was the worst in modern american history. there's no doubt about that. so this leaves democrats in a huge bind. they're left trying to do the worst kind of spin. >> the president has found him to be an impressive, incredibly bright and talented person who's just as capable as always to carry out his office of the duties of his office and has great ability and heartfelt concern for the people of the commonwealth. >> what i saw last night when
12:08 am
i saw john fetterman, i think a courage. >> this guy stood up last night. god bless john fetterman. to the voters of pennsylvania, really appreciate what happened on wednesday, that it was an insult to them, what happened to them on wednesday. now, god bless everybody. but that's not what the pennsylvania voters need. they only get to send two senators to pennsylvania. and this is the one that the democrats chose as the best in the state to run. really. and the same people who lied about veteran's condition. we're trying to tell us that dr. oz is supposedly the bad candidate in this matchup. a former heart surgeon and an entrepreneur from an immigrant family who achieve the american dream. that's the bad candidate. yeah, nice try. >> the race is so dire there that obama is swooping in, is slipping into western p.a. to try to do the rescue attempt. and they're so freaked out that even biden and carmela are appearing together at a rare rally appearance for fetterman.
12:09 am
now, that is truly desperate. now, here's a reality. we shouldn't judge candidates by whether the press likes them or whether big business likes them or whether they will go with the flow in d.c. we should judge them on whether they'll fight for the national interest and stand up for the american people. now, this year, all over the country, republican voters chose talented, self-made men and women who think for themselves and who will fight for you. the democrats, they mostly nominated establishment hacks. he'll do whatever pelosi and schumer tell them to do. and when a smart independent thinker goes up against someone who just does what the handlers tell them, even the biased press, they can't help but recognize the difference in quality. we have better candidates. much better in that is making a difference. >> and that's the angle. joining me now is tom bevan, president and co-founder of real clear politics, and brian kilmeade, fox and friends, co-host and author of
12:10 am
the president and the freedom fighter. now out in paperback. he's also the host, of course, one nation, airing saturdays at eight p.m.. tom , it turns out that these gop candidates with no experience in many cases, are connecting with the concerns of everyday americans in their states. and districts better than the democrats who may be the incumbents. >> yeah, and i think they've they've all acquitted themselves pretty well in the debates that they've had. if you think about vance in ohio, you think about even herschel walker outperformed expectations in his debate in georgia. blake masters certainly had a strong debate performance in in arizona. and so and you look at the the the democratic candidates, when you didn't mention in your angle, luras is mandola barnes in wisconsin. another another who is seen as a rising star in the democratic party. ron johnson is well up in the polls now. there is leading in all the polls, extending his lead there. and so i think democrats are
12:11 am
the ones who are looking at their candidates and thinking, well, maybe they weren't as good as we thought they were originally. >> well, brian , chuck schumer was caught on a hot mic today talking about so that democrats chances in the midterms. >> check this out. looks like. so that's brian . >> he said the debate didn't hurt much. and pennsylvania is up by three, right? by the way, how does he know? i mean, he's smiling. he's cheerleading. but it is interesting to gets a hot mike . no matter how experienced you are in politics, they seem to never understand. the microphone is always on . remember what he called peter doocy, the united states that stupid blank. but a couple of things just on your monologue. you nailed it in many respects,
12:12 am
in other respects, this there's a belief in washington that you have to have experience as a politician to be a successful politician. i think we screwed up the job description. the job description is a service i like to execute for the people. don't let that put me there along with represent and do the best things for the interests of my country and party fits in. it doesn't mean you have to spend 30 years doing it. you could be in business. you could be in medicine, you could be in sports . you could be multifaceted. in terms of herschel walker, he's got business as well because he doesn't do it. they say, well, inexperienced. yeah. what carelink is one of the most impressive candidates i have seen come out the box. she has no political experience but 30 years doing what you do, an outstanding broadcaster, you could probably step right in. would they say lauren graham has no experience at what serving your country doing its best understanding issues. and i think that donald trump is really i know he's pretty much not on the ballot, definitely, but he is kind of
12:13 am
when you look at blake masters, when you look at jd vance, when you look at herschel walker, when you look at even marco rubio, he's stumping for sorley. these are a lot of candidates that people that carry a lot of people didn't get behind the trump said, that's my pick. and they said, we're in trouble. and then little by little, these candidates ended up really proving themselves well. and i think, again, the conventional wisdom, the establishment conventional wisdom is wrong again in washington. but, tom , "the washington post" revealed, i think, how desperate the democrats are getting because on wednesday they pumped about six point three million dollars worth of ads into a trio of congressional districts in new york . and new jersey. and first lady jill biden spent the afternoon in rhode island trying to help save democrat, a democrat running there and a district her husband carried by almost 14 points. and then i guess he's trying to shore up hochul in new york . they're worried about hochul getting enough turnout in new york city. and politico piece tonight, tom , this is this is getting this is getting very
12:14 am
interesting. yeah, it's the northeast is not looking good for the democrats, but they've got problems everywhere. i mean, across the board, there was a story earlier this week that that democrats are pouring millions into washington state to shore up patty murray against tiffany smiley, the republican candidate up there who's who's within striking distance. and you've seen these polls pop up. there was a poll in new mexico that showed the governor's race there close, which was a bit shocking. so, yeah, look, i think that the general consensus isn't all the data is telling us that that republican wave is building across the country the generic congressional ballot. you see the movement in in the senate races, you see the movement in the house races and the governor's races. and the question is , you know, we're still 10 days away. so. so how big is going to be will it crest a little early and maybe not be as big as some people think? or is it just building and will really crash on election day? that that remains to be seen. but right now, certainly republicans are on offense in
12:15 am
states and districts that democrats didn't think they were going to be playing defense and they're up against it right now. the democrats certainly are crime. >> inflation on the border aren't going to be fixed in 10 days. brian , finally, your book, the president and the freedom fighters, is out in paperback now. how does how does this relate in this story relate to service and the idea that the last thing you really want is a professional politician in washington? you want people with real world experience to relate to what's going on now, the lives of everyday people? >> absolutely. lincoln, we know the story. the most written about president frederick douglass, a born a , don't tell me you have headwinds in life. if this guy could be born a within seven years, of freedom, be one of the most well known and respected people in the free world because he went to europe and established himself. but the other thing is the number two slot and almost every list is education. we are learning not to respect lincoln and douglass and american founding fathers and the average american family not politically orientated
12:16 am
and wolk is outraged by this and this whole war and history. this is like a pushback called facts and all i get from parents i just did a signing an hour ago is my kids don't learn any of this. i need i have to tell them this. i read this and refresh in order to overcome the history. they're not learning in school. and i think about young young men talking about education. i'm thinking about those parents standing up there arguing for iconic figures in our past, not to be torn off statues so we don't become a nation of nature, a nation of pedestals. and i think also in the bigger picture with your theme is i think we're learning hibernating the way president biden did it is not the way it's going to work. kathy hochul. it's not the way it's going to work. john fetterman, the republicans are having success. they're outworking their opponent. >> that is the amount of bandwidth i am going to drill my message, pro-american message and going out and being with the people. people need to see the candidates. you can't cocoon yourself, brian . i'm so excited for your book in

paperback, because guess what? my kids are going to read it. >> ryan , tom , great to see you. vote now, elon musk is officially taking the reins over at twitter. he's the new owner and the free from the left. it's almost too delicious to put into words, but if it was the names he fired tonight that are making the most waves. for the details on this, we go to our own matt finn and our l.a. bureau. >> matt , this is pretty exciting. well, elon musk has reportedly completed his takeover of twitter and fired executives, including the ceo and cfo and also twitter's top legal and policy executive, vijaya gada, a key employee involved in removing former president trump from the twitter platform. musk strolled into twitter's headquarters in san francisco yesterday, carrying a porcelain sink, later tweeting, entering twitter hq. >> let that sink in. musk first agreed to buy twitter in april for forty four million dollars. then he later threatened to walk away from the deal after
12:18 am
accusing twitter of failing to provide enough information about how many of its users were real and how many were so-called fake bots. the uncertainty caused a month long saga of questioning whether musk was going to buy one of the world's most prominent social media platforms. but this week, signs indicated mr. mozilla is getting ready to seal the deal. banks started sending money backing the purchase, and musk has changed his twitter bio to quote chief twit musk said he acquired twitter because its important for the future of civilization to have a common digital. townsell. there were a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner without resorting to violence. laura , matt , big changes underway. thank you so much. now, it seems that the gop has learned some lessons from the 20 20 debacle. now, instead of waiting for the election, they have launched preamp divx legal challenges on everything from the appointment of poll workers to the issues of ballot curing.
12:19 am
senator ted cruz is your next on what all this might mean. plus, he's going to react to the breaking news about elon musk and twitter's stay there. >> ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage blake masters. this may be the most significant midterm elections of our lifetime. four months our team was able to embed with the masters campaign. a republican candidate who is not a politician, who may be an actual reformer. i'm trying to show people what a new breed of politician looks like. we're going to send a fighter to dc that's the fighter. our job is to see what it takes for a different kind of candidate to win in one of the most competitive states in the country. i know it's going to be hard, but it, it's is important. and so i feel called to do it, even if just a kid from tucson, arizona, we're going to turn this country around.
