me today is jackie deangelis, amy friese, tomi lahren, and joining us for the first time jake beckett. welcome to you all. now would begin with jonathan hunt in los angeles but the ladies on this developing story jonathan? >> : emily, we're getting disturbing details of this attack on the 82 year old husband of speaker nancy pelosi, paul pelosi was apparently beaten with a hammer in the attack. he suffered blunt force trauma to his head, and his body. and we are told that he is currently in the hospital, but is fortunately expected to make a full recovery. we also toured rather disturbing me, that the pelosi house was specifically targeted in this attack. and that information is coming to the associated press from their sources. the fbi, u.s. capitol police, they are all now assisting the san francisco police department.

now, we first heard about this in a statement from drew hamel, who is a spokesman for speaker pelosi. he said "early this morning, and assuming it broke into the pelosi residence in san francisco, and he violently assaulted nancy pelosi, paul pelosi, the assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation. mrs. pelosi was taken to the hospital where he is receiving excellent medical care, and is expected to make a full recovery" now speaker pelosi was not there, at that time, she was as we understand in washington, d.c. the big question is the motivation. we may get some answers on that in a press conference with the san francisco police department, due in just about 30 minutes. obviously, this could've been an opportunity for crime, someone he was targeting the house because the route that the pelosi's was away and could regularize it or more disturbingly it could have been politically motivated. we have seen polizzi's political protest outside the pelosi's

house in san francisco, and it is well-known then there is no secret that the speaker lives there and owns that house. and there were protests there in july of 2020 as you can see there, and greek graffiti was on their house on new year's day in 2021. now, the attack has been condemned by people across the political divide. republican john dennis, he is running against nancy pelosi and ma terms but he said this "this was an appalling act that will deserves condemnation and contempt, no one has the act or right to violate another person's property nor to initiate force and anyone else" the pelosi's our neighbors mr. dennis i. my family and i wish a speedy recovery for paul, and swift justice for the assailant. the white house, they have also issued a statement saying that the president is praying for paul pelosi, and for speaker pelosi's whole family. president biden of freshly called pelosi to express his

to be one of vermont high school student and her father is suing the school district saying that they face retaliation for complaining about a transgender athlete being allowed into the girls locker room. 14-year-old blake alec was suspended from rental high school and her father travis was suspended without pay from his job as a soccer coach after they dared to voice their opinion. >> blake said that they lifted her's suspension after the lawsuit was filed, but the
