tv   Jesse Watters Primetime  FOX News  October 28, 2022 4:00pm-5:01pm PDT

4:00 pm
for invital us into your home tonight. it's been quite a week. that's it for this "special report," fair, balanced and still unafraid, "jesse watters primetime" because i have been going over lately. i decided to end my show just a few seconds early and hand it to you. >> jesse: well, if you had stopped talking 5 seconds ago i would have gotten a few more seconds, thanks, bret have. a good weekend. >> bret: see you. >> jesse: fox news alert. nancy pelosi's husband paul pelosi was beaten in the head with a hammer inside their san francisco home at 2:30 in the morning. >> a man broke into his home, the home he shares with house speaker nancy pelosi, who wasn't here at the time. but that man broke into the home and attacked him with a hammer. he suffered blunt force trauma to his head and his body experienced some bruising and other injuries but, again, is expected to fully recover. in the meantime, we have a number of different law enforcement agencies at the local and federal level investigating continuing to
4:01 pm
gather evidence. >> jesse: here's what we know. paul pelosi just came out of brain surgery and is expecting a full recovery according to his doctors. he sustained a fractured skull and serious injuries to his right arm and hands. police arrested the alleged attacker, a 42-year-old white male named david depi. illegal yen from canada. a long history. elder abuse and slew of other felonies but wasn't deported. san francisco is a sanctuary city. the san francisco chronicle says is he a nudist activist who makes hemp jewelry and he has been posting crazy screeds on the internet for years. i read through a few of them and he looks mentally ill. cnn reports he was homeless sleeping in the storage shed and addicted to narcotics. a few former acquaintances told cnn he was out of touch with reality, so, in summary he was a mentally ill homeless nudist illegal alien ex-con druggy who
4:02 pm
should have been deported. police say at 2:27 a.m. today officers were dispatched to pelosi's home responding to a well-being check that was called. in politico reports that paul pelosi was able to dial 911 himself after telling the intruder he had to go use the bathroom and then calling for mayor where his phone was charging. sources told abc news that he busted in through a sliding glass door and said where is nancy. according to cnn he tried to tie up paul pelosi and said he was going to wait for nancy to come home. police have not confirmed that and say they have not yet determined a motive. this is what they say they saw when they arrived. >> we encountered an adult male and mrs. pelosi's husband paul. our officers obama administration mr. pelosi and suspect both holding a hammer. of the suspect pulled a hammer away from mr. pelosi and violently assaulted him with it. >> jesse: there was a little confusion about the hammer.
4:03 pm
what we believe is that paul was struggling with him over control of the hammer. just one hammer and was hit with it as police arrived. the perp has been charged with attempted homicide. assault with a deadly weapon. elderly abuse, burglary and a few other charges. what happens in these types of cases usually is that when the smoke clears, some of the initial reporting is wrong, which is why we are telling you what news organizations is reporting what because that could change by tomorrow. the pelosi family is not talking, aside from the statements that they have released and san francisco officials are not leaking to fox news. just about everybody else, it seems like. but like clockwork, the media is reporting that this is january 6th on the west coast. >> before the assault occurred according to a source the intruder confronted mr. pelosi in their home shouting where is nancy? where is nancy? debbie dingell that's what the intruders going through the hallways on january 6th were shouting, nancy, nancy. this is part of the january 6th
4:04 pm
insurrection toxicity that has infected the brains of people around the country. >> jesse: so the new homeless canadian drug addict with a rap sheet a mile long makes hemp bracelets is a january 6er? i think we may be getting a little bit ahead of ourselves here. we wish paul pelosi a speedy recovery. we feel terrible for him and our heart goes tout nancy and their family. see this hammer man locked up to 20 years to life at least. the media ignored the a black lives matter and antifa riots called them justified and mostly peaceful. never blamed bernie when a bernie bureau shot up steve scalise. a left wing assassin nearly took the life of brett kavanaugh after the scotus leak and democrats still didn't want to add protections to justices homes. the republican canvasser just had his jaw broken and the media blamed him. and when rand paul got his ribs cracked by his crazy neighbor, it was one of msnbc's favorite stories.
4:05 pm
>> new details today on the incident that left senator rand paul with six broken ribs. this might be one of my favorite stories. >> jesse: even pelosi's daughter said rand paul deserved it. the democrats have been telling us for years that crime isn't a big deal and if you talk about it you are racist. >> we are dealing with actual crimes, those eight homicides and we are dealing with the perception of fear, that people are feeling. >> republican politics, the issue of crime, and the issue of immigration have long been proxies for race playing the race card. >> i also want to make sure this doesn't drive hysteria. >> the perception in this case counts more than the actual. >> part of the republican playbook as you well know is to point a finger at large diverse cities and say large diverse cities are lawless. what we see here is the same old playbook, which is about coded and racist messaging. >> jesse: the democrats and the media have been ignoring the
4:06 pm
crime wave and only cover it when nancy pelosi's husband is attacked? where is the media and democrats been while thousands of americans have been attacked? people are being hit with hammers every day. people are being pushed into subways, slashed, shot in cold blood. but the media focuses on this one single crime to pen it on republicans? come on. the democrats defunded the police in san francisco. the democrats sanctuary policies prevented the guy from being deported. the democrats want to send social workers to welfare checks instead of cops. if they had sent a social worker here, both paul and the social worker would probably be dead. people in san francisco were smashing people in the head every day and they get bailed out. and they don't get hit with attempted murder charges. maybe they get sentenced to two years of restorative justice. but they throw the book at this guy because paul is married to a powerful woman? it's not right. every victim should be treated equally and so should every
4:07 pm
perp. the crime wave is finally come to nancy pelosi's house. hopefully, our political leaders can wake up and say enough is enough. let's turn to "fox & friends weekend" co-host pete hegseth. how the hell does nancy pelosi's house in downtown san francisco not have around the clock security? i know she was out of town at the time, but forget the criminals, what about chinese spies? what about russian spies planting listening devices or hacking into her computer? how does this place not have a guy sitting in a squad car around the clock? >> it should. if it doesn't, it will from now on. just like supreme court justices should have had that. and, by the way, you are giving the graciousness that this family deserves right now. that the left never gives. right? it should never happen to paul pelosi. it should never happen to nancy pelosi. they should be secure. but they live in a town where lawlessness has been tolerated.
4:08 pm
>> jesse: right. >> pete: because of the policies you add vo day. you talk about homelessness, mental health, drug use, all the things that add up, illegality and sanctuary city. the guy shouldn't have been there. all of those things add up to an environment in which paul pelosi wasn't safe last night, and average folks in san francisco or new york city are not safe. yet, yet, he-there is no bail for this guy. you laid it out. no bail. >> jesse: no bail. >> pete: lee zeldin the guy that attacked him was let loose only because of media scrutiny and pressure was he eventually then put into jail. the instinct here on any other person, if it wasn't paul pelosi, let him out. it would have been let him out. instead, he isn't because of the family that was attacked and rightfully so. but it's unequal justice. >> be responding to that in an airport. i think he was also besides the guy that ran up on the stage and
4:09 pm
tried to stick with him with something. he had gunshots flying through his fence. because there was a shootout on the street. karen bass. really high profile crime. i think there was a philadelphia legislator who was carjacked. was carjacked. you can't just say this is just, you know, a perception of crime. i mean, this is happening everywhere to everyone. >> pete: by the way i'm happy to be a pinch hitter any time. i didn't have time to shave for you. at a moment's notice i'm here for "jesse watters primetime." it is -- right now this election is the sanity election. i think that's what it comes down to. if you believe criminality should have consequences? do you believe our border and immigration policy should be enforced? do you believe there are boys and girls or 60 different options? ened and i think an event like this as unfortunate and tragic as it was for paul pelosi which
4:10 pm
you recognize, illuminates the reality of lawlessness that exists across our country. the second most powerful family vulnerable. >> you have drug addict. illegal alien should have been deport. he was homeless. sleeping -- he was mentally ill. a rap sheet a mile long. wait until we find the rap sheet. i'm hearing multiple felony convictions. there is no way this guy should have even been in neighborhood, let alone this country. >> say that again multiple felony charges likely that we know right now in the country illegally and he is not deported. >> jesse: is he a nudist. arrested in his underwear and nudest activist. a lot going on with this guy. >> pete: that's the logic. the insanity of the modern left. it doesn't have to come across our border. it can come in any form. >> jesse: put him in a jacket and send him back north to canada and let justin trudeau deal with him. >> pete: make example of him and won't make an example of all the

>> jesse: this week democrats in the media made it seem like something really terrible had happened in arizona. watergate 2.0. democrat candidate for governor, katie hobbes had a break-in at her campaign office and she suggested that her opponent, kari lake, had something to do with it. now, from the beginning, our
4:17 pm
team was skeptical. things didn't feel right. before we got too far ahead of ourselves we had to get the facts well we did and it turns out we were right. yesterday an arrest was made in the case. this guy right here, 36-year-old daniel reyes yeah the same guy pictured in the surveillance footage the fight of the break. in get this, is he a serial criminal. when police finally ided him from the break-in he was already in custody for a separate robbery. kari lake had nothing to do with it. it was just an attempt to smear her before the election. hobbs constructed the narrative and the media, of course, ran with it. here is kari lake while i was meeting with police officers and firefighters working to make sure that our state is safe she is pulling stunts and you guys are falling, hook, library and sinker. you have got to do better, guys. we are 13 days out from the election. you try to influence the

election much like you did in 2020 when you refused to cover joe biden's criminal son hunter biden's laptop. you refuse to cover that you refuse to cover the evidence that was on that. and this time it's the other way around. you are taking completely bogus stories and you are running with it. it's absolute fake news. >> jesse: democrats are pushing fake news because they know they are about to take a beating in the midterms. they are panicking. and they will do anything to turn things around. >> they protected ka. >> katie: y hobbs. they put defamatory statements lies about me the reason they did that is because this was the real news yesterday that none of you wanted to cover. we are 11 points up. you are in a frenzied panic because your chosen candidate is not winning. you didn't want to cover this so you had to run with a completely garbage bull [bleep] story. shame on each and every one of you. >> jesse: after all. this kari lake took questions and a reporter still asked her if she felt any responsibility
4:19 pm
for stoking violence in arizona. listen to this. >> if somebody threatens someone, that's their responsibility. my responsibility is to work hard as a candidate and then work really hard as a governor to help arizona. i'm in this for the right reasons. and, unfortunately, you guys don't get that i get threatening letters, terrible letters. they would make you blush. they would make you angry. i throw them in the garbage can. my daughter gets threatening phone calls. we have had our tires slashed. four inch screws drilled into the tires so our tires would blow out on the road after events. we're living in dangerous times. and we have got to have someone who is courageous to help run this state. and it is not katie hobbs. >> jesse: what an answer. so where is katie hobbs anyways? she went from pushing the story as a political attack to not wanting to talk about it at all. what. >> what was taking were your

4:21 pm
numbers. but, numbers in some of the house races are not where they should be. so, i think it's a reflection of the fact that democrats are kind of worried where this is going right now. felt worse over the last week or. so. >> jesse: kellyanne is a fox news contribute and here's the deal. >> kari lake is going to be the next governor. she has ran a terrific race. ran a great primary. i think her steadfastness and commitment to principle is why she is also gathering together many independents he had are tired as democrats as usual. katie hobbs already an elected official. she is secretary of state. she is hiding. she is completing hiding. she is evading simple questions i think the last reporter asked her what she thought about the weather. she can't answer that but put out a statement. she will hire a commission. people want to know that their candidates or would be governors are transparent and willing to look you in the eye and have
4:22 pm
that connective fish with the voter. kari lake did something else that i don't think get enough coverage. she has done a masterful job after winning her primary bringing together the establishment republicans who opposed her. she supported her opponent very well funded, very credible opponent. and she also has the support of governor doug ducey who is pretty popular out there and who runs the republican governor's association. they spent 10-million-dollar on this race. i this i for all the hand wringing about the republican party being divided and oh the wrong people in the primaries. it's actually happening on the democratic side. just this week you had the progressive caucus put out this ridiculous letter to joe biden asking him to deal with putin. to rethink our strategy in ukraine. they have nominated really extreme candidates fetterman and wisconsin with barnes on and on. kari lakes that magic spell on the media because she was one of them. they are not used to one of them running for office, let alone
4:23 pm
this conservative woman. they simply don't know what to do with her. she can anticipate their questions. she can give them as good as she gets. in addition to aping the question that she asks. she goes and deflects on to other areas and other issues? why? because she has the mic. she has the platform. she wants to tell arizonans what her solutions to the problems. when they ask a ridiculous questions. basically about being an election denier, she is essentially is saying my word. you are an inflation denier. you are recession denier. you are a rise in crime denier. people are very concerned. she is out there saying 87,000 new irs agents? what about new border agents? we're in arizona here. so, i -- look, the other thing that kari lake represents and is not alone in this regard. in addition to female voters realigning with the republican party this cycle. some women are running and winning as republican candidates. we already have mayra flores and the special election in the rio grande valley first republican there.
4:24 pm
mexican born mayra flores 100 years. we have so many women out there being elevated and being elected as republicans. and so i think that's incredibly important because they are -- i call it the safe will, security affordable security and education. they are willing to go out there and talk about those issues that the voters are talking about. the democrats had so many opportunities to do that and they missed it again and again by pretending election is only january 6th, trump, trump, abortion, climate change. >> jesse: i just loved how katie framed her opponent for breaking in and the next day she is like i don't understand to talk about it. i don't want to talk about it. abortion, abortion. i'm not here to do that. january 6th. i'm not here to do it. voters are smart. i think kari lake is going to be the next governor. >> jesse: kellyanne might be the next female president. kellyanne go phils. >> go titans. >> jesse: have a great weekend. >> you got it. >> jesse: the homeless are
