we go into the office, we have people lined up and getting ready to try to get yards signed and t-shirts and hats. we are seeing a big surge in the hispanic community. my husband and children are latino, my opponent when asked a softball question and in a forum a few weeks ago to come up with one good thing about the latino community, she could not come up with an answer. the latino community is a wake. they know their beliefs and priorities aligned with the republican party and they are waking up to thethe liesthe of the democrati party. they're all about hard work and opportunity and education and they're all about safety in their neighborhoods. that's why we are doing so well. >> you are talking about latino voters and there is this kind of enormous movement from white suburban women. the wall street journal writes this, "the gop have seen a shift among several

voter groups particularly white suburban women." now, favors the gop by 15% point. that's an enormous shift, what do you make of that? >> i look at our policies, i call them mama bears, we are all mama bears out there. we want to have kids ride their bikes and not worried about them. they know that in our policies and other republicans around the country, we want to have a secure border and we want to do something on the border. we want to to to stopto fentanyls goi we want to fund our police and hiring more police. we want criminals off the streets. the other part is education aspect. here in arizona, we are about funding the students. my opponent is opposed to funding

the students. she wants money being poured to government running schools that are not producing good results. we are the ones that have good policies about getting trade schools and career certifications back into our high schools so our kids are ready for the real world. the mama bears are frankly done with all of this crazy gender talk, inappropriate sex education and our element school, brainwashing our kids thinking they are different gender. >> it is wrong and we are tired of it and we are standing up and pushing back. that's why they are coming over to the republican party. >> i know there is no secrets that your opponent refused to debate you. here is why she said she won't debate you, listen. >> how do you debate someone who refused to accept the truth and all she does is going to shout over me and interrupts me and lies. >> what would you say to her? >> the people who know me knows

most alarming part beyond the fact that two officers were shot, no one had been arrested. when you hear from the folks who live in the area, they're worried right now. if someone is willing to go out and shoot at law enforcement, what else could they be capable of? >> i am shocked to see something like this happened in my neighborhood. we heard the shots and ran out and was just surprised to hear what went down. i am just curious to see when they catch him. >> and so the search continues. police at one point thought they had the shooter surrounded but we are learning the suspect somehow managed to escape. investigators say this all started when two officers responding to a 911 call. a local woman thought she spotted a man who was wanted for a previous shooting. so, police showed up and didn't find anyone at first but as they were leaving, they encountered this suspect. gunfire was exchanged where one of the officers was hit in the neck and the other in the leg and initially there were

reports the suspect was firing from the top of the building using a long gun. that turned out not to be the case and newark's mayor cleared that up tonight. >> they gave instructions, there was a brief altercation, the gentleman pulled the gun out and shot two police officers at close range. fire was returned and gunshots was returned. the gentlemen retrieved back to the building. >> the mayor said police identified the 30-year-old suspect, they have not released his name yet. trace, it sounds like they know who they are looking for. in the same city in newark, another shooting, the six-year-old is hurt, she's expected to survive. >> jeff paul, thank you. tonight's crime crisis round up to the breaking news we broke last night. the four people in chicago halloween night included

a three-year-old and 11-year-old and 13-year-old, the victims were attending a vigil for a cancer victim when two people in an suv shot into the crowd, there is still no motive and no suspect. rapper better known as take off were shot and killed in houston. the 28-year-old was part of the hip-hop trio migos and he was at a private event in a bowling alley when he was killed. houston authorities are asking for information to help find the killer. >> there been too many young men of color whose lives were cut-off short from other young men of color. that has to stop because it is tragic. >> what if it is your brother or son? you would want somebody to step up. please step up. >> there was also halloween violence in philadelphia including five different shootings that killed at least three and injured several more. many of the victims were shot

multiple times. one of the shootings began as a car crash and turned into a road rage incident. in texas, a group of thieves robbed a shoe store. they could not get into the window, they broke into the back door and only found the owner left only one shoe in each box as a precaution. kind of like a cinderella robbery if you know. now the owner hopes his video track down the burglars. police found the three men holding this guy at gunpoint after he entered their apartment in a ski mask and pulled the gun on them. they disarmed him and held him until police arrived. he went to jail after a bit of a stop at the hospital. well, the man accused of attacking paul pelosi with a hammer made his court appearance ple plepleading not guilty. david

depape, our nathan hockman, it is great to have you here. i would love to know of david depape going after paul pelosi, ises the san francisco police handling this properly? do you believe? >> well, they actually are. when you have a high-profile case like this, you attracted everybody's attention. you got the locals attention and federal authority attention and you got someone arrested and kept in jail and didn't get the no-cash bail option. this is in essence of a hate crime. we have seen an explosion of hate crimes in california the last two years. people being attacked because of how they look and how they pray or what they believe. here, we have another type of hate crime, this one is getting prosecuted and all the other ones unfortunately are not. >> a lot of calls about transparency, wondering why the

da and the police not releasing the 911 call or the body cam or why they have not said of the security system in pelosi's house. do you find that unusual? >> this early in the investigation, they want to gather evidence themselves then they'll release it. again, you got the over lap between the state and the federal authority, that does not happen in most hate crime ls. in this state, sadly, most hate crimes don't receive this type of attention or this type of prosecutory action. >> i want to read this. the impending court on abortion motivated the man from california to travel to brett kavanaugh's home. is that a fair

assessment in your point of view? >> absolutely. that's a nature of the hate crime. the criminal is targeting someone for their political views. there is always a definition of what they look like or how they pray. they actually are doing this and needs to get prosecuted as a hate crime. what we see, in this case it look like it will be or a more serious crime and all other cases and the standard t ttype of case where you have elderly asian woman being kicked and beaten and not being pursuit as a hate crime. >> you are running as a da in california. california's violent crime rate increased by 6% from 4440 per 100,000 residents in 2020. robberies fell 1.9%. aggravated assault jumped by 1.p 11.9%. and you know and
