walk us through what you saw earlier. bill, can you hear me, it's awfully loud there. bill, have you got us? all right, looks like we have lost bill for a second here, but you know, there are two big groups that crossed into eagle pass, texas, continues a trend that we have seen literally for the last almost two years now with some 2.5 million people crossing into the country in fiscal year 2022 alone. bill, we understand you can hear us now. tell us about the two big groups that crossed the border yesterday. >> yeah, john, apologies, live tv had the border patrol boat go by. incredibly busy morning here. well over 700 illegal crossings in just one hour. we'll show you the first group. take a look at this stunning drone footage in normandy, a tiny town on the northern outskirts of eagle pass. a group of several hundred migrants crossing illegally, and
10:21 am
once they cross the river they are formed into a single file line and escorted in that line, sometimes almost as far as the eye can see it seems like by the texas national guard and by border patrol where they are taken to a processing area. and we saw several of these migrants on their smartphones facetiming people as they were crossing illegally into texas, almost all were single adults. the second piece of video from the drone as that group kind of formed together and waited for processing. it ended up being well over 300 migrants. i had a chance to talk to many of them, most of them telling me they were from cuba, nicaragua, or the dominican republic. several cubans told me they are planning on meeting up with family in the miami area. and most of the countries crossing are not subject to title 42. a lot of the people will be be released into the country after they are done being professed. no busses available, there was a bigger group on the other side
10:22 am
of town. as the normandy group was crossing, this is left over of a group of 400 that crossed at the exact same time into the eagle pass area. once again, almost all of them single adults, predominantly single adult men. a short time before we shot the footage, 48-year-old cuban woman went into cardiac arrest and dropped down and died on scene shortly after crossing. this is a huge strain on border patrol resources dealing with these groups. lastly, take a look at this, these images out of the rio grande valley. troopers pulled over an uber driver smuggling five illegal immigrants inside the vehicle. they were picked up near the river in mission, texas and the driver cooperated with troopers, showed them his uber profile, dropoff location he was hired to pick them up by the river and drop them off at a local mall. troopers believe he might have been tricked by a human smuggling organization using a fake profile and they might be

doing this with rideshare drivers in an effort to cut themselves out of the equation when it comes to smuggling and in an effort to avoid law enforcement. and texas dps did not arrest the uber driver, they cannot prove criminal intent. i want to point out as i was driving around eagle pass earlier as the groups were crossing, i saw groups of migrants walking down the highway into oncoming traffic almost, no border patrol agents anywhere, walking down the highway, they are looking for border patrol, there were not any around. there are so many groups crossing in so many locations, it's such a drain on resources. the man power is stretched thin and that's how it is almost every single day, guys. back to you. >> john: numbers show no signs of slowing down. bill, thank you. >> the winter is really harsh, i don't know how we are going do
