4:00 pm
he received the school's super hero award for quick thinking and bravery. second grade. nice job. tomorrow on "special report" as we mentioned, we will be coming to you live from miami where we will talk to voters as well as republican senator marco rubio and democrat gubernatorial nominee former governor charlie crist. thanks for inviting us into your home tonight. that's it for this "special report" fair balanced and still unafraid. "jesse watters primetime" starts right now. jesse >> jesse: fox news alert. joe biden will be delivering final pitch before midterms. the speech republicans are a throat democracy. i don't know how americans voting for republicans threat to democracy since we are voting for them. and not like they are going to get into office locks their doors and refuse to lee. maybe joe biden will explain what he means by this but i doubt it. he will be giving the station from union station, a once beautiful train station in d.c. that's now empty and been
4:01 pm
overrun why junkies and vague grants. the speech came together at the last second. looks like a hail mary to me. nothing is sticking so they are going with january 6th. you think the president would close hard with a powerful message about the economy, but you'd be wrong he's going with republicans are going to start a civil war. he is going to blame republicans for the actions of an insane, fairy loving, obama supporting illegal alien drug addict who hammered paul pelosi in the head. by the way we have fresh details on that attack a little later in the show it. looks like one of the biggest security failures of all time. speaking of break-ins. remember the democrat katie hobbs running for arizona governor her campaign headquarters got broken into and she blamed her opponent kari lake? right before we just came out on to air we found out that it was actually an illegal alien who
4:02 pm
broke into her office. and the democrats released him from jail already and didn't tell ice so he skipped town and now is on the run. so, illegal aliens raped a woman in ohio, got her pregnant, burg glar rised katie hobbs campaign office and hammered paul pelosi in the skull and democrats blamed republicans for each crime. see how this works? and you are going to see this tonight as joe biden is speaking right now from union station about the pelosi attack. listen. >> take her hostage to interrogate her, to threaten to break her kneecaps. but she wasn't there. her husband, my friend, paul pelosi, was home alone. the assailant tried to take paul hostage. he woke him up. he wanted to tie him up. the assailant ended up using a hammer to smash paul's skull.
4:03 pm
thankfully, by the grace of god, paul survived. all this happened after the assault -- it just -- it's hard to even say, it's hard to even say, after the assailant entered the home asking where's nancy. where's nancy? those are the very same words used by the mob when they stormed the united states capitol on january the 6th when they broke windows, kicked in the doors. brutally attacked law enforcement. roam the corridors hunting for officials and erected gallows to hang the former vice president mike pence. it was an enraged mob that had been whipped up into a frenzy by a president repeating over and over and over again the big lie that the election of 2020 had been stolen. it's a lie that fueled the
4:04 pm
dangerous rise in political violence and voter intimidation over the past two years. even before january the 6th we saw election officials and election workers in a number of states subject to menacing calls, physical threats, even threats to the very lives. in georgia, for example, republican secretary of state and his family were subjected to death threats because he refused to break the law and give in to the defeated president's demand just find him 11,780 votes. just find me 11780 votes. election workers, like shae moss and her mother ruby freeman were harassed and threatened. just because they had the courage to do their job and stand up for the truth, to stand up for our democracy. this institution, this
4:05 pm
intimidation, this violence against democrats, republicans, and nonpartisan officials just doing their jobs are the consequence of lies told for power and profit, lies of conspiracy and malice, lies repeated over and over to generate a cycle of anger, hate, vitriol and even violence. in this moment, we have to confront those lies with the truth. the very future of our nation depends on it. my fellow americans, we are facing a defining moment, a reflection point. we must with one overwhelming unified voice speak as a country and say there's no place, no place for voter intimidation or political violence in america, whether it's directed at democrats or republicans.
4:06 pm
no place, period, no place ever. i speak today capitol hill near the u.s. capitol the citadel of our democracy. i know there is a lot at stake in these midterm elections from our economy, to the safety of our streets to our personal freedoms the future of healthcare, social security, medicare, it's all important. but, we'll have our differences, we will have our difference of opinion. that's what it is supposed to be. but, there is something else at stake. democracy itself. i'm not the only one who sees it. recent polls have shown that overwhelming majority of americans believe our democracy is at risk, that our democracy is under threat. they, too see that democracy is on the ballot this year. and they are deeply concerned about it. so, today, i appeal to all
4:07 pm
americans, regardless of party, to meet this moment of national and generational importance. we must vote knowing what's at stake and not just a policy of the moment. but institutions that have held us together as we sought a more perfect union are also at stake. we must vote knowing who we have been, what we're at risk of becoming. look, my fellow americans, the old expression freedom is not free. it requires constant vigilance. from the very beginning, nothing has been guaranteed about democracy in america. every generation has had to defend it, protect it, preserve it, choose it. that's what democracy is. it's a choice, a decision of the people, by the people, and for the people.
4:08 pm
the issue couldn't be clearer in my view. we, the people, must decide whether we will have fair and free elections and every vote counts. we, the people must decide whether we're going to sustain a republic where reality is accepted, the law is obeyed, and your vote is truly sacred. we, the people must decide whether the rule of law will prevail or whether we will allow the dark forces to -- that thirst for power, put ahead of the principles that we have long guided us. you know, american democracy is under attack because the defeated former president of the united states refused to accept the results of the to 20 2020 election. he refuses to accept the will of the people. he refuses to accept the fact that he lost. he has abused his power and put
4:09 pm
the loyalty to himself before loyalty to the constitution. and he has made a big lie, an article of faith in the maga republican party. the minority of that party. the great irony about the 2-20 election. the most attacked elections of our history and yet, and yet, there is no election in our history that we can be more certain of its results. every legal challenge that has been brought was brought are every recount that could have been undertaken was undertaken. every recount confirmed the results. wherever fact or evidence had been demanded, the big lie has been proven to be just that. a big lie. every single time. yet now, extreme maga republicans aimed to question not only legitimacy of past
4:10 pm
elections but elections being held now its driving force. trying to succeed where they failed in 2020 to suppress the right of voters subvert the electoral system itself. that means denying the right to vote and deciding whether your vote even counts instead of waiting until election is over, they are starting well before it they are starting now. embolden election officials. it's estimated that there are more than 300 election deniers on the ballot all across america this year. we can't ignore the impact this is having on our country.
4:11 pm
it's damaging, it's corrosive, and it's destructive. and i want to be very clear this is not about me. it's about all of us. it's about what makes america america. it's about the durability of our democracy. for democracies are more than a form of government. they are a way of being. a way of seeing the world. a way that defines who we are, what we believe. why we do what we do. democracy is simply that fundamental. we must, in this moment, dig deep within ourselves and recognize that we can't take democracy for granted any longer. with democracy on the ballot, we have to remember these first principles. democracy means the rule of the people. not the rule of monarchs or the
4:12 pm
money but the rule of the people. atalkautocracy is the opposite f democracy, it means the rule of one. one person. one interest. one ideology, one party. to state the obvious the lives of billions of people from antic cute until now have been shaped by the battle between these competing forces between the aspirations of the many and the greed and power of the few. between the people's right right for self-determination and self-seeking autocrat. between the dreams of a democracy and the app. tights of an autocracy. what we're doing now is going to determine whether democracy will long endure. and, in my view, is the biggest of questions. whether the american system prizes the individual bends towards justice and depends, depends on the rule of law,
4:13 pm
whether that system will prevail, this is the struggle we are now. in a struggle for democracy. a struggle for decency and dignity. a struggle for prosperity and progress. a struggle for the very soul of america itself. make no mistake, democracy is on the ballot for all of us. we must remember that democracy is a covenant. we need to start looking out for each other again. seeing ourselves as we, the people. not as entrenched enemies. this is a choice we can make. this union and chaos are not inevitable. there has been anger before in america. there has been division before in america. but we have never given up on the american experiment. we can't do that now.
4:14 pm
remarkable thing about american democracy is this: just enough of us -- on just enough occasions have chosen not to dismantle democracy but to preserve democracy. we must choose that path again. because democracy is on the ballot, we have to remember that even in our darkest moments, there are fundamental values and beliefs that unite us as americans and they must unite us now. what are they? well, i think first, we believe the vote in america is sacred, to be honored, not denied; respected, not dismissed. counted, not ignored. a vote is not a partisan tool to be counted when it helps your candidates and tossed aside when it doesn't. second, we must, with an overwhelming voice, stand
4:15 pm
against political violence and voter intimidation, period. stand up and speak against it. we don't settle our differences in america with a riot, a mob, or a bullet or a hammer. we settle them peaceably at the ballot bok, ballot box. we have to be honest with ourselves. we have to face this problem. we can't turn away from it. we can't pretend it's going to solve itself. there is an alarming rise in the number of our people in this country condoning political violence or simply remain silence because silence is complicity. disturbing rise of voter intimidation. the pernicious tendency to excuse political violence or at least, at least trying to explain it away. we can't allow the sentiment to grow. we must confront it head on now.
4:16 pm
it has to stop now. i believe voices excuse are or calling for violence and intimidation are distinct minority in america but they're loud and they are determined. we have to be more determined, all of us who reject political violence and voter intimidation and i believe that's the overwhelming majority of the american people, all of us must unite to make it absolutely clear that violence and intimidation have no place in america. and, third, we believe in democracy. that's who we are as americans. i know it isn't easy. democracy isn't perfect. it always has been. but we are all called to defend it now.
4:17 pm
now. history and common sense tell us that liberty, opportunity and justice thrive in a democracy, not in an autocracy. at our best, america is not a zero sum society. or for you to succeed someone else has to fail. a promise america is big enough, is big enough for everyone to succeed. open door to opportunity a little bit wider. every generation. including those who have been excluded before. we believe we should leave no one behind each one of success a child of god. and every person, every person is sacred. if that's true, then every person's rights must be sacred as well. individual dignity, individual worth, individual determination, that's america.
4:18 pm
that's democracy and that's what we have to defend. look, even as i speak here tonight, 27 million people have already cast their ballot in the midterm elections. millions more will cast their ballots in the final days leading up to november the 9th -- 8th, excuse me. and, for the first time, this is the first time since the national election of 2020, once again we are seeing record turnout all over the country. and that's good. we want americans to vote. we want every american's voice to be heard. now we have to move the process forward. we know that more and more ballots are cast in early voting or by mail in america. and we know that many states don't start counting those ballots until after the polls close on november 8th. that means in some cases we won't know the winner of an election for a few days until
4:19 pm
after a few days after the election. it takes time to count all legitimate ballots. and a legal and orderly manner. it's always been important for citizens in a democracy to be informed and engaged. now it's important for citizens to be patient as well. that's how this is supposed to work. this is also the first election since the events of january 6th when the armed angry mob stormed the u.s. capitol. i wish -- i wish i could say the assault on our democracy had ended that day but i cannot. as i stand here today, there are candidates running for every level of office in america for governor, congress, attorney general, secretary of state, who won't commit, that will not commit to accepting the results of election that they are running in. this is a path to chaos in america.
4:20 pm
it's unprecedented. it's unlawful. and it's unamerican. as i have said before, you can't love your country only when you win. this is no ordinary year. so i ask you to think long and hard about the moment we are in. in a typically year, we're often not faced with questions whether the vote we cast will be preserve democracy or put us at risk but this year we are. this year i hope you will make the future of our democracy an important part of your decision to vote and how you vote i hope you will ask a simple question of each candidate you vote for. will that person accept the legitimate will of the american people and the people voting in his district or her district? will that person accept the outcome of the election, win or
4:21 pm
lose. the answer to that question is vital. in my opinion should be decisive. answer of that question hangs the future of the country we love so much and the fate of the democracy it has made so much possible for us. too many people have sacrificed too much for too many years for us to walk away from the american project in democracy because we have enjoyed our freedoms for so long it's easy to think they will always be with us no matter what. but that isn't true today. in our bones, we know democracy is at risk. but we also know this. it's within our power, each and every one of us to preserve our democracy. and i believe we will. i think i know this country i know we will. you have the power. it's your choice, it's your decision, the fate of the
4:22 pm
nation, the fate of the soul of america lies where it always does. with the people and her hands and your heart and your ballot my fellow americans, we will meet this moment just remember who we are. we are the united states of america. there is nothing beyond our capacity if you want to do it together god bless you all. may god protect our troops. may god bless those standing guard over our democracy. thank you and godspeed. [applause] >> jesse: that was the president of the united states confessing he is about to get wiped out a week from now. no one is going to question the results of this election, mr. president, because it's going to be a blow out. it's not even going to be close
4:23 pm
said a few things ridiculous. is he the only one talking about the 2020 election. is he the only one talking about the 2020 election except joe biden and the msnbc. that's it. he came out a week before the midterms and talked about 2020, not crime, not inflation, not immigration, he talked about something that happened two years ago if he wants to make the midterms about paul pelosi's attack. you want to talk about that? the guy was illegal alien who was given sanctuaries in california by gavin newsom he was mentally ill, a drug addict and homeless. all the things that the democrat policies encouraged and total break down at the pelosi household. get into that later. a few other things, he talks about voter incontinual accommodation. this is the guy whose administration dropped a charges against black panthers party at
4:24 pm
msnbc is begging for a nation to common tore our elections so that's ridiculous he said speak out against political violence. this is a president who never said anything on camera kavanaugh assassin. is he worried about a free and fair election. we didn't have a free and fair election last time. the october surprise, the laptop was spiked by the fbi's cia, big tech and big media and the democratic party and had voters known that the president's family was under investigation for international money laundering and the family was getting bribed by diamonds from china and the big guy, the chairman wars supposedly getting kickbacks from the chinese, yeah, i think the voters deserve to know that. and might have voted differently.
4:25 pm
biden actually said himself just a year ago that the midterms were going to be rigged. we actually have that tape. let's hear the president of the united states say that these midterms are rigged. run it. >> a moment ago you were asked whether or not you believed that we would have free and fair elections in 2022 if some of these state legislatures reforms their voting protocols. >> imagine if those attempts to say that the count was not legit. you have to recount it and we're not going to count -- we're going to disregard the following votes, sure. i'm not saying it's going to be legit. >> jesse: so he is not saying that the midterms are going to be legit. if you say it then you are an election denier who is going to try to start a civil war. doesn't make any sense. and i don't think the word got to crooked because last week she said that the republicans were stealing 2024. and if you are keeping count at
4:26 pm
home, hillary clinton has now said three elections were stolen. so she is actually the threat to democracy. lastly, he is saying if you vote republican, democracy is over okay. so basically he wants one party rule. does that sound democratic to you? i don't think so. let's bring in our guest. kayleigh mcenany, and karl rove, former architect. deputy chief of staff and fox news contributor. kayleigh, your reaction to that lazy speech written by hacks and poorly delivered? >> we're also to believe that jim crow 2.0 is happening in georgia. what is happening in georgia is worse than the civil war when, in fact, we know georgia voting is up early, jesse. so just to add that to the list of election denying there. you know, the president yesterday had a hard time naming what century we were in. that was among his eight gaffes. he would, needless to say, have a very hard time declaring the
4:27 pm
year if he doesn't know the century. the year is 2022. it's not 2020. though he would have you believe that by the speech he just delivered. the reason this speech happened, jesse, the sole reason in my view is this administration saw the "wall street journal" poll today suburban white women swinging back to the republican party to the tune of 27% is the swing. the number two issue they cited was threat to democracy. so they leaned into that. they said democracy over and over and over. he kept mentioning the autocrat which was a reference to donald trump but perhaps he did not read down into the poll enough because at the very end of that "wall street journal" article is this: biden in august was white suburban women was winning 55 to 39 in a holpp 2024 to trump. biden losing 52-41 to the autocrat that he cited. really interesting but perhaps read to the end of the poll, mrg a speech that will not move a single number.
4:28 pm
>> jesse: no one knows white suburban women better than i do and they do not want to hear about that that we just played you. and i want to apologize to the audience. i thought it was going to go maybe 10, 15. we didn't think it would go nearly 25 minutes. i never apologize. it's actually against my entire protocol but i do apologize to the audience. karl, i would expect white suburban women. all women, all americans did not want to hear that they wanted to hear plans to fight crime or inflation. am i wrong? i'm not. >> no, you're not. look, i have two big problems with this speech. first of all, he painted it with a broad brush. yes, there are people who were a threat to democracy. we saw them break into the capitol, beat up police officers, attempt to find the vice president of the united states and the speaker of the house and do violence to them. and a lot of them have been indicted and a number of them are in trial today and a number of have pled guilty. but suddenly we are going beyond that to, you know, everybody else. the answer to that problem is
4:29 pm
let's defeat republicans who had nothing to do with january 6th. second problem i have got is election denier. okay fine. i'm not an election denier. joe biden won fair and square. i know that irritates many in my own party. if you are concerned about election deniers, think about this, joe biden would not be president of the united states today were it not nor an election denier. james clyburn of south carolina saved his campaign, his failing presidential primary campaign and he believed that the 200 switching votes from john kerry to george w. bush in ohio to the tune of 120,000 plus. if you think election deniers are a threat to democracy. thank one of them for making you president. the president biden also considered another election denier to be his running mate. stacey abrams. he routinely deals with democratic committee chairs in
4:30 pm
the house of which there are at least two who were election deniers. so if you are going to start saying if you believe that the election was fraudulent or faulty in some way, shape, or form, you are a threat to democracy. what of the heck is he doing hanging around with a bunch of people who feel like that? but, again, this is a broad brush stroke. this is failing effort at the end of a campaign that should have been about inflation and should have been about the economy and should have been about the border and crime, they didn't wake up to that fact until too late and now they are trying to use this as an excuse to switch votes. i disagree with it substantively but tactically it was a big, big mistake to waste this time tonight just a few days before the midterm election. >> jesse: indicate kayleigh, karl, thank you for joining us. >> thanks, jesse. >> you bet. >> jesse: blamed the crazy person's attack on paul pelosi on, yes, republicans. >> the assailant entered the home asking where's nancy, where's nancy? those are the very same words
4:31 pm
used by the mob when they stormed the united states capitol on january the 6th. it was an enraged mob that had been whipped up into a frenzy by a president repeating over and over again the big lie that the election of 2020 had been stolen. it's a lie that fueled the dangerous rise in political violence and voter intimidation over the past two years. >> jesse: so this isn't new. they have been politicizing the attack from the jump. today "primetime" obtained more court documents filled with brand new details about what happened that night. details the democrats have been trying to hide. like depape entered the house through the back door after smashing a window and no alarm went off. they definitely had an alarm though. so why didn't it work? was it turned off? who turned it off? we don't know. we also learned a lot more about this encounter in the bedroom. apparently paulie called the
4:32 pm
cops on speaker with depape next to him. brilliant. so, he knew the cops were on their way and decided to stick around anyway. not a genius. there was also more evidence that cops didn't tell us about they found a laptop in depape's backpack. what's on the laptop? is there something on that laptop we are not supposed to see? we heard a lot about the hammers, the duct tape and the zip ties but nothing about this mystery laptop until now. these documents also suggest it was paul pelosi who opened the door when police arrived. but that's when he lost his grip on the hammer and depape slugged him in the side of the head. the cops weren't quick enough to stop him. they didn't wrestle him down until paul was on the floor in the pool of his own blood. all of this was caught on camera from multiple angles. the cops had body cams and we're told pauly's house is filled with ring security cameras, not to mention capitol police have access to a live feed of the
4:33 pm
pelosi home, which captured the attack in progress. only problem, no one was watching it. and they don't want you to see any of it. >> has the family been shown that audio and that video yet? >> so, that meeting is happening today so that limited members of that family are able to view that footage so that they can have certain questions in their mind answered. >> is there a public interest district attorney in releasing that 911 call and the body camera video to the public as well? >> no, you know. my job is to make sure that we protect the state of this investigation. revealing that evidence to the media is just not what we think is appropriate. >> jesse: okay, limited members of the pelosi family. does that include gavin newsom? he is related through marriage. but, if you want to see the body cam footage released, you are a conspiracy theorist. according to the "the washington post," asking to release the

video is mostly a way to extend the conspiracy theory. well, it's actually the opposite. we want to see the body cam to clear up the questions we have. there is no conspiracy here. didn't "the washington post" say democracy dies in the darkness? do they want to keep the body cam under wraps because, why? the police didn't do what they were supposed to? because, according to sources at the san francisco police department, who have seen the body cam footage, it's being kept under lock and key. limited to only a very few higher ups. they say the body cam shows the cops lingering before the attack, conversing with depape and wasting precious time. a superior at san francisco police department reportedly said this is going to be explo. the biggest failure is that depape is in the country in the first place. mentally i will criminal illegal
