another. here is what president biden had to say while leaving california. >> we are going to win this time around. i feel good about our chances. i have not been in all the house's races. i think we'll keep a senate and pick up a seat. i think we'll have a chance to win in the house. i am optimistic. i really am. >> the president will deliver remarks on saturday in the chicago area. then, he heads to pennsylvania to rally with former president barack obama and senate candidate, it is all part of a last minute push to help the president's party get across the finish line on tuesday. president biden has focused on student loan debt relief and the october jobs report which shows a solid month for hiring. when you hear from voters in battleground states like pennsylvania, arizona and georgia, inflation still stays so top of mind. it is still the number one issue among voters in

those very states. >> well, i think as much as anything, people reminded of the problems we have each day every time they go to the gas pump or the grocery stores. >> inflation is impacted so much obviously with gas. i don't get to travel as much as i would want to but how that affects what's in stock in stores and those prices. >> everything is going up so fast. you can't compensate for that. it is tough for the working person is really tough. >> now the federal reserve announced it is raising interest rates yet again. that's further igniting recession fears. the white house responding they are not preparing for a recession and point to the strong labor market, trace. >> every time you go to the gas station or every time you drive by a gas station, you see the big sign, 30-feet high and you get 5 or 6 bucks as gallon. it is a visceral feeling that

so much democrats being off mesmessage. naturally the pret used his midterm closing arguments to talk about threats in the galaxy. it did not make a the list. democrats are clearly obsessed with it. because why else representative james clyburn said americans should not be concerned of inflation and should be concerned of the coming nazi germany. he said the same thing in 2019 and 2020. so, let's move onto hillary clinton who, of course, is known for deplorable staple statements. this time she says americans don't understand what's at stakes in the mid temples. you know the woman from "the view"

for office and the media is looking to scare people. that's not the case and people will make their voices heard on both of those issues come four nights from now, trace. >> joy reid is not the only one not talking about inflation. look at the inflation number, year over year, inflation is now entering the highest since the 1982 midterms, right? democrats if you can believe this spent $320 million on ads focused on abortion and democrats spent $31 million on ads on focused on inflation, less than 10% of the money on the biggest problem facing america right now and you rather talk about something else. >> it is the head in the sand argument, right? if you pretend it does not exist and you don't talk about it, maybe people don't think about it. they may not be thinking about how they're going to pay for food or they're looking at their 401(k)

one quick yes, you said you are going to meet with the oil companies, when is that going to happen? >> walking away,s the kind of like crime and inflation, it is not an urgent concern. your thoughts on this, mike? >> well, thanks for having me. look, if you were trying to increase inflation across the economy, there is no better way than to go to war with american oil and gas producers. that's what the biden administration is doing. he has less land than any president since world war ii. this year, he killed a major refinery expansion in the u.s. virgin islands. now, they're talking about a windfall profit tax, taxtax, a non-patterson, d would reduce investment and supplies and increase prices. a strategy claimed at increasing oil and gas prices in order to

make people buy electric cars. it is a terrible policy and politics. 60% of voters say they hold biden's responsible for high oil and energy crisis. this is part of the reason i think democratses are headed for a big loss next week. >> that law analysts, there is no way it will pass the u.s. congress. the president rails against big oil profits and shareholders the same day his senior energy adviser is in the middle east telling the global industry that more investment is needed and it is needed right now. he simultaneously trying to penalize oil companies and convince them to pump more oil. it does not make any sense. >> it is embarrassing. you remember this president went to venezuela asking them to produce more oil and lifted sanctions.

he went to saudi arabia, he won't meet with american oil and gas producers. it is a war on american and oil and gas, he's now scapegoating them for not being able to add more to production. he said he wanted to end fossil fuels and all of his behaviors have been consistent with that approach. i jjust -- this administration i not even succeeding in what they have been advocating for. the saudis refused to produce more oil. they reduced the amount of oil because they were so annoyed with the united states for threatening them. everybody had gone sideways. the people paying a high price is the american people. >> while you were talking, we are putting pictures of california's gas prices there and it brings me back to governor newsom who says he wants to go after oil companies. come on, gavin newsom, that's

education. i know you are the education secretary and may have been looking for that. did you find it unusual that neither of those was mentioned. >> well, they talk about the issue but fentanyl thing is unbelievable. horrible. we are losing 100,000 people a year and 80% of them to fentanyl. those numbers, trace, are the numbers we had each year of american fatalities than world war ii. that's the scale we are talking about. of course, 5 billion illegals are coming in and a lot of them carrying that fentanyl. it has to be addressed and it has to be a high priority. it is amazing that he could not address it. they don't want to address it because they can't. >> maybe you can clarify this for us. sometimes there is some fingers pointing and stuff. i want to put these numbers up because it is a battleground state in ohio. 69 overdosed
